@Eudd: dude you here in the Phils. we call that "padrino" system... it's where a family friend's friend's friend's uncle's cousin recommends you to a job because he knows the manager's wife's uncle. However it doesn't bode well for the average joes like me because of the uneven playing field. that's why we have to resort to gifts of roast chicken or whiskey just to get an interview.

you know the loser who tries to hang out with the popular kids by doing them favors and stuff so that he/she too may be popular..

meh like that dottie kid/hoodsie's sister in as told by ginger.

That's really common. I've seen it everywhere.
It's a bit annoying but I hope I don't do it as well.

I feel sorry for them, but in the end, we cannot decide for another unless one uses force.

I only know one person like that and she's kind of a snobby wannabe bitch. Anyway, I feel that these people are no better than people who scam the gov't to get free money. Then again, it's hard to make an honest buck these days so people have to do whatever they can to survive so I respect them for their efforts but not as much as I would for someone who honestly worked their way to the top.

padrino system is called nepotism. it is not limited to relatives, bro. friends can perform this or affiliation. example, we are close friend. your company has a job opening "X" and i wanted to apply for the position but the problem is, i am not qualified for the job but since we are friends, you hired me.
