CRland rules.
Chat: These rules are the same as in the regular chat, with one exception. You are allowed to post your stats in the chatbox.
Playing: This is a little tricky, because there are a few differences in playing style, so here's the best i've got (other mods, please let me know to add to this if needed)
~No spamming the server - this means don't mash on the button like crazy. This causes stress on the server and can possibly crash the game. Don't do this!
Do not be offensive to other players, do not insult them because of their style, ideas, or their character builds.
Uploading:
~Respect copyrighted items. No copyrighted items should be uploaded.
~Respect other users art - if you use their item as a base, send the other user a PM asking permission to use their artwork - they worked hard creating them!
~Do not steal artwork and claim it as your own.
~Do not use artwork from any other game.
Bottom line: Be respectful - show your love of the Japanese culture and be respectful like they are!

If your item is rejected, and it's not part of one of these lists, then bring it to the mods attention that disapproved it.
Ask them in a polite and respectful manor. We do not HAVE to tell you why we disapproved something, but if you ask us nicely, we might answer you.

Anyways it's not how-to-play-crunchyland thread. It's how-to-talk-with-crunchyland-players thread.
But it's more for people who are still new players without knowing MMORPG language.

Lots of players who didn't play a MMORPG before playing Crunchyland. Won't know the language really good.
Most likely MMORPG language is also Crunchyland language.. In many forums threads they have used Game Language. But Crunchyland is almost the same

Here's a few tips to help that along.
There is a stat guide already stickied, so for stats, PLEASE refer to it!
However, this thread is not about stats, we can always change those, if needs be.
Rules to follow for faster approval
(and less disapproval)
NO ANIME NAMED ITEMS!!!!
This is very important, anything with an anime name anywhere on it, we will immediately disapprove.
This falls under the copyright issues of the known world. So NO ANIME NAMED ITEMS!
All items MUST BE ORIGINAL!!!
If a friend made it, that's fine, but if you took it from another game, or were "inspired" by another game, think again, we will disapprove it.
If you want to get something that looks similar to an anime character's outfit, or weapon, then simply make it look SIMILAR (if it's too close, however, we have to disapprove) and give it a genaric name!
Example: You want Lenalee's outfit from D Gray Man... simple fix to make it approved: Make a black jacket with decal, title it "Black Jacket" don't make the decal too similar to the one used in the anime, but people who like and follow the show, they get the idea - not to mention... this is a game.... not an anime show... keep that in mind peeps...
Another thing... Please do not put stat information into the description box. It will be erased, and it annoys the mods to no end to have to do that. (trust me.... annoyed mods = things not getting approved)
Another thing, if you are not sure of the stats to use for your item, just enter in the level, we can add those in. However, there is a nice guide for you to refer to. I will also post a pretty version in there a little bit later.

Alright, since the idea of posting a stat guideline for the public designers has been approved, here is the stat guide created by CRJG!
Please be sure to read it carefully! And know that we will still be monitoring your item's stats. Stats listed here are subject to change, and so are your item's stats upon approval. We are currently leaving all items below level 85 until further notice.
NOTE: Please know that the stats you choose, regardless of how properly you follow the guide, may possibly be changed at any time to help balance the items' stats.
NOTE 2: Please be sure to report items with stats that are far off from this list!
Some important tips to keep items balanced:
Also note, that you cannot abuse the stat system by trading the stats used in Physical attack and Elemental attack(You can do as you please with defenses, however). So if you want negative physical damage in an item, you cannot use any points in elemental damage, or vice versa.
Example of what you CANNOT do:
-10 Physical Damage
+10 Fire/Water/Lightning/Earth Damage
(and vice versa)
Example of what you CAN do:
-10 Physical/Fire/Water/Lightning/Earth Damage
+10 Defense/Fire/Water/Lightning/Earth Defense
(and vice versa)
Please also try not to overuse the physical or specific elemental damage, and try adding some defense. For example, it makes alot more sense for clothes, guards, shields, hair, and etc to have more defense than attack.
Weapons can have defense as well, but it would make sense to have a higher damage ratio on weapons.
Points for any single stat cannot be any higher than the said number of points.
For example, a level 85 item cannot have over 292 points on any stat.
Please also realize, there is a risk that your items may have changed stats due to risk of imbalance. You may not be able to change it later on, so please follow all of these guidelines and tips, to prevent your items from having their stats nerfed!
To avoid abusing the balance of stat points, please avoid using percents above 5% as of now. Percent points will be counted as points as well. DO NOT use them in extra points if the level of the item does not allow extra points!
The first column is the level of the item being approved.
The second column is the number of points to use in attack / defense / elemental attack / elemental defense. This the the number of total points!
The third column is number of number of "extra" points to allocate to Stats (Str, Vit, Mag) only. If an item's level has an "x" or a "0", please do NOT add any of these stats to the item.
The fourth column is the gold price of the item.

Hello, this is Pikangie. I was browsing through all of the items in the "Other" category, and had found countless items that were in the wrong category, copywritten, and had bad quality!
When making dual-weapons, please be sure that you seperate each hand's weapon! From now on, dual-hand weapons will automatically be disapproved.
Now this was JUST the "Other" section of items... there must be TONS of items that need tuning or disapproval.
I know most people are probably not wanting items to get nerfed, or balanced down to more considerable stats, but it's important that you help us by reporting items that are overpowered. And to be honest... we just don't get enough reports. The report inbox is often empty, so never hesitate to report an item. We are manually going through the items ourselves, but it takes quite a while with so many items. so your help is greatly appreciated!
All you need to do:
Simply find an item that in Shinji's Shop that you think may be overpowered.
Copy the name of the item, and then go to the "Latest Items" or "Pending Designs" page.
There should be a search box on the left. Type in or paste the name of the item, and search.
Finally, press the Report button, and enter what is wrong with it (helps to be specific).
If we cannot get the number of items down, we may not be able to accept anymore new designs in the future for the Boy, Girl, and Chibi avatars!
PS: When reporting bugs, please PM a mod, such as BasouKazuma, rather than telling everyone about it! You can no longer post bugs on the forum, as it is considered exploitation, and against the rules.
PPS: Please use English when you are reporting, since most of us cannot understand other languages. If you cannot use English, then I'm not sure how you got around the site's navigation in the first place. |
