Unholy Punk Attack in Brooklyn

Is this supposed to be shocking? Interesting how the people who wrote the article didn't even try to hide how biased they are. God, I lost count of how many loaded words were in that article.

I wont name any race but thats new york for you. It's what happens when a city is over populated.

Funny thing is I was mugged in New York. I didn't have any cash, just my credit cards and wallet. He held me up with a gun and ran off with my wallet. I immediately called my girlfriend to cancel all my cards. About 2 hours later I get a call in my hotel room from the guy. It turns out I had my hotel key in my wallet. He demanded 1 thousand dollars for my wallet back.

I told him to fuck off and just ended up switching hotels

Well, from what I've seen, in my part of the world (Florida), all races get called thugs depending on what crime they do. Besides, it's just wording put there to catch the reader's/watcher's attention. More people might be interested in knowing about a "thug" doing bad things in their neighborhood than a "man" doing bad things. Just a label, for example, lets say a drug addict gets caught with a car full of cocaine, instead of saying "man caught with car full of cocaine" it'd probably say something like "drug addict busted with ___ pounds of cocaine".

Believe me, I wouldn't type it if I hadn't experienced it over and over again.

i guess, it all depends on where you live!
here in new york the news is different. if only it weren't, eh?

I guess so!
I'm just tired of people calling everything they see that has a black person in it racist. Sometimes stereotypes are just right and people just need to live with it. I bet if the guy was white noone would've mentioned racism in this thread, and the article probably still would've had "goon" and thug" in it.

I live in New York and was born in Brooklyn. This is nothing new.

yeah, i dig it, i usually dont do that and usually hate it[since it's usually waaaayyy out there]. i know what youre talking about and have talked about that with my friend who is a teacher's assistant and hates it too. however, the media is known to do things like that, especially where i live, sooo i had to call this one. i wouldnt say the same thing if it was like...a dude walking into class late and getting yelled at.
i REALLY do hope they start using the same words for people of all races. i reeeally do.

black teens committing such monstrous act in new york? it is a daily thing.

idiot, go hide under a rock :D

i knew immediately something like that would be said. im glad they caught him. what an idiot :D

i love how they always use thug when it's a black person. isn't the media AWESOME?!

err that "black person" is a thug. Stabbed a chinese delivery man, stole a car.. and so fourth. 90% of all black teens i met in school/outside talks, dress and act as a "thug". notice i said black teens.

*raises eyebrow* if you used actual words instead of 3 letters then I'd know what you're trying to tell me.... which I have a feeling that is insulting >.>

*nods* was there a reason why the person did that or was it just random?

*laughs* okay... I get it it's just mostly when there is a F in shorten internet phrases it usually means something bad :P

but, I didn't mean to call everyone out- it was just a few people who were more interested in the fact that the guy was black then anything else.... and race should have to do with anything :\
