We all love anime, (and if you dont, your in the wrong website), but many anime companies are going out of business, and it is because of US. these companys are spending money to create these animes, but because everyone is downloading the anime off the internet, they are getting little money in return, and are going out of business.
if we wish for anime to survive, we have to support our anime companys. if every anime fan bought just a single anime dvd, then the anime companys would be making enough money to stay in business.

recently, i would have nvr considered buying an anime season on dvd. but then i heard about how many anime companys are in danger of going out of business, INCLUDING the company that licenses Naruto Shipuden. that would mean there would be no more naruto if it went out of business. so if a company that popular was at risk, then imagine how many other companys are in the same jam.

so the answer is simple: support anime by doing something like buying a single anime season on dvd, and we might save the industry

I am way to lazy to check if this is a duplicate or not...

Anyways, I believe that people should start buying dvd's.

Think about all the positives to buying anime dvd's.

1)100% Full Quality of your anime, with no reencoding bullshit
2)Supporting the companies that manufacture the dvds. Without them there wouldn't be anime dvd's in Japan, let alone in America.
3)You can always just sit on your couch, pop open a dvd and just watch it on your big screen or whatever the hell you have at any point in time without waiting for some lousy video player quality.

There are more positives but tis lazy to type more _----_

I buy DVDs sometimes of animes I really enjoy for instance Zero No Tsukaima and Fate stay night. However I honestly wouldnt wanna buy the whole series of Naruto or Bleach since I'd have to spend a fortune. and Is watching streamings the same thing as killing the industry?

id think so. without the financial support of fans, anime companys cant survive

Anime DVDs are kind of expensive. I don't download anime or anything and I'm not saying the anime companies are greedy. The people selling them from their own bussinesses usually jack up the prices in my area just because there aren't that many anime shops and they can get away with it. I have no problem buying anime DVDs and will continue to but it's hard to collect them when random anime stores raise the price so much, when the extra cost doesn't even go to the anime companies. I'm probably going to order them from online stores from now on just so they don't double the price. 0_o It's just kind of sad when it costs about $10 an episode in some cases when it comes to a certain anime.

But finding the right place and price is really REALLY hard.....especially....when you're really poor and most of your money goes to CD purchasing for my vk bands....>.>''' I support them more financially than anime. It's easier for me to go Kinokuniya to buy something rather than going to another place to buy overpriced DVDs. =_=;;;

The other day I went to an over-priced shop **over-charged at least $10 for each DVD** and I saw a School Rumble starter kit with the first 4 episodes in it..... Then I realised that the poor fool that bought that would still have to get disc one because disc two only had episodes 6-10 on it... So they'd be without episode 5. I hate it when they trick an extra $35 out of you like that.. Just because your collection wouldn't be complete without an episode.
