No. I don't think that people like neo nazis have the right to express their thoughts, etc.

Of course not!
I do not allow myself to think that because it would be like staring at myself all day.

There is a lot of people that are killed everyday just because they say things contrary to what their leader dictates them to think! We don't hear about all of them because their voices are shut off.

Even in this country...the medias hide a lot, a lot of true tragedies happening in this world and do not care of the despair suffered by those people in need.

I'm sorry to say this, but for those who think the world's a perfectly free place...Time to open your eyes...

It depends on where that freedom exists of course. Every person has the freedom to say what they truly desire in their heads, but as to whether they may speak their mind in public is a completely different story. Authoritarian and totalitarian states often crush political dissenters to inspire fear and quell any thoughts of rebellion.

The ultimate question should be whether you truly believe your right to speech is worth your other freedoms. In the case of Stalinist Russia and many other totalitarian and authoritarian nations in the past, the consequences of speaking out against the incumbent party could very well result in your capture, interrogation, confinement, torture and death. Yet we have cases of remarkable individuals like Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn who bore witness and wrote many accounts that made the world aware of Gulag, the Soviet Union's labour camp system. His courage earned him imprisonment in the very camps he wrote about and eventually, exile.

Now the one question is how many of you would be willing to speak out in a similar manner to this man in similar circumstances. Of course, the thought of throwing away whatever freedoms you have left must surely be frightening and I would not blame you if you chose to hold your tongue.

But Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, like many others before and after him serve as a powerful reminder of how laws cannot restrain one's ability to speak one's mind; it is fear which restrains us and courage which enables us. But this is not, a good reason enough to simply babble away simply because you have courage. One must know what one is speaking of and be willing to backup whatever one says in a presentable and logical manner.

i think that every one is free to express their opinions but sometime u can't Caz it may cause u trouble or u are not allowed to ..

Technically, everyone CAN say whatever the hell they want, but every word that comes out of your mouth has its effects/repercussions. so, take the 'right to freedom of speech' with a pinch of salt.

i think everyone is free to say what they want but what will happen after they've said what they wanted to say? and will they be ready for the consequences? will they hurt others? or will they end up regretting using that freedom?? because for me... i don't always know. i'm not always ready for the consequences and sometimes i end up hurting others so there are times i regret it. -_-
