I like Tenchi Muyo and Parallel Duel Trouble Adventure.

To Love Ru and Tenchi are up there for me.

How is Clannad a harem? I mean in the visual novel, you can be with any girl, but only one at a time. In the anime, the others are just friends. Youhei Sunohara and a couple other male characters also prevent it from being classified as a harem.
But Clannad is still the best!

Clannad a harem anime? lol maybe part of the first half but hey at least the protagonist isn't retarded which is more than I can say for most Harem anime.

I have only seen "Love Hina!". I found it to be entertaining but after that, other harem anime felt like repeats. I want to see "Tenchi Muyo" thought but can't find a place to watch it.

school days........ worst anime ever...... best ending ever lol.

My personal favorite is Ah! My Goddess. It's also a pretty early one compared to a lot of titles that were listed. Belldandy to me is the first role model (for me) ideal, gentle soul, innocent anime girl type that I find over and over again in other anime titles.
But she's the best example of one for me.
And the best harem title for me, also has to include the main character to be lovable as well. Which Keichii totally is, despite all the females that hang around him. He has desires like any other young male at his age. But is totally devoted to Belldandy once he realizes his feelings.

Clannad is a good second choice, and would of been #1 for me. (It really is a great story and a tear jerker). But I couldn't get over the generic art style. And it takes a really long time for me to like each of the many girl characters. Plus, the lack of strong and weak male characters really bothered me. I know its a harem. But normally, guys would have more male interactions than females. It's like his best friend alone represents most of his male peers and that's suppose to be enough? Any other male figures are all older than the main character. It felt kinda strange to me. Especially for a male teenager.
