bastet666 26624 cr points Send Message: 24 / F Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 2/15/12 I may adopt. i think i would like to be a mom and there are lots of kids out there alone and in need of a family to love them. also I dont think i could handle being pregnant. i have weak knees, a bad back, and my ankles already swell. im a bit over weight and my mom had a type of diabetes when she was pregnant with me and my brother so i worry about if my body could even handle being pregnant.

"can you get knocked up?"

But at the same time, I feel adoption is different from having your own kids - you aren't just becoming a parent, but you're IMPROVING a life that's already been created. An adopted child may never call you mom or dad, but will most likely be grateful that you saved their life. And what excuse does someone who can afford to adopt and maybe more have? I can't speak for them. I can only feel guilty for complaining about not having peace and quiet when a child is somewhere getting beat on every night. I still don't want to adopt, but can't think of a good reason not to. Just one. -_-" And it won't be for a while because I'm not even thinking about kids until I'm like 30.
