Remember the last episode of Higurashi Kai and in the end with Takano getting a happy life.
By giving Takano a happy life, you remove her research and her establishment of the Irie clinic from the timeline, indirectly killing Satoko, Satoshi and pretty much everyone who lives in hinamizawa with the virus.
So when Hanyuu gave her a happy ending she pretty much screwed over everyone who has the virus in hinamizawa now. So everyone's going to die anyway no matter how Rika trys to fix the world.
...Wow... there is no happy ending in higurashi.  |

True, but if Miyo becomes a doctor and meets Dr. Takano anyway (Dr.Takano is Miyo's dad's professor, remember?), everything would still happen, but Miyo won't be evil (she became evil indirectly due to her childhood)
EDIT: Anyway, there is no guarantee that Miyo got a happy life in the last episode, cos she "chose to die", remember? The bus driver lost control of the bus again (like before) and Miyo's dad was not at home at that time. Also, Miyo gets a happy life in another dimension, therefore it will not affect the "happy" dimension where Rika and her friends "defeated" fate.

There is no happy ending, because if there was a happy ending, no one would die, and death is the series trademark. Without all the blood and gore, the series wouldn't be as good. So, I doubt there will ever be happiness in Hinamizawa, because it would ruin the fun of the series.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I had already figured that out in quite awhile ago.
Either way though, Irie is still there. He was a doctor because of the Hinamizawa disease (Because of how his father was influenced by it). And Satoko and Satoshi wouldn't have died.

She didn't get a happy life.She went on the bus with her parents and wasn't she in the bus in the first place?
She survives the bus accident and well we know whant happens next.

Not really... Third season is based on the fandisk which is mostly fanservice anyways.
** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** One arc in the third season shows what happens because of the "happy life", but that's a dream... Also like ojsinnerz said, they wouldn't die because there would still be Irie.
This is part just my opinion and you don't have to read it. xD I just want to say something @ restorecop99 though I doubt he will read this... Death is not the series' trademark. At least not in the original VN... |
