I will living in France for 8 months fairly soon and I plan on paying its neighboring countries visits. Particularly the lovely land of Germany. I would like to hear about places to visit and things to see from the locals. I am very excited to see it but I know nothing about it.

Germany has many nice places to visit. Berlin is duty I don't like this city so much, but it is good for sightseeing and visiting some days. There you can find many interesting places. Then I guess, Munich is also a must-visit. To be honest, I have never been to Munich, but I have heard, it is one of the most beuatiful cities in whole Germany. Hope, I can visit this city soon, too Nice landscape you can find in Rhineland-Palatinate. Many, many castles!! And a city, which is also very popular with tourists, is Dresden Here you can see many old buildings. It is not a big city, but I like the atmosphere here Most of all at night, when the bars in the small alleys are open. It is really nice And you can swimming in the sea in the north of Germany And you can go rambling in the alpes in the south of Germany Yeah, Germany is such a beautiful country

Thanks for all the advice! I plan to mostly travel by train. Will that effect the number places I can visit or can most places be accessed via train?

The railway system in germany is really good u can reach every city by train!!

I think sometimes it is better to take the train because there is much commuter traffic on the motorways!!

Thank you so much. I thought it'd be cheaper, easier, and safer than renting a car. I can't wait to go. Thanks everyone.

Regensburg got a really sweet old town. Actually most of the buildings there are still from medieval because the bombs during WWII didn't hit there. When you planing on visiting munich and u travel from north to south i definitly should visit it once ^^

Berlin got a really interesting history. You can still see some differences between east and west-side in the city. There is much to see there I was there several times now and i still couldn't see everything.

Munich like Regensburg it's a lovely place, treasured the old town aswell. There is also a lot to see, dunno where i should start ^^
At least you should taste the beer brewed in bavarian ^^ It tastes totally different to other beers in germany. To do so you could visit the "Hofbräuhaus".
