Once in awhile I'll become stumped on something and absolutely cannot progress without looking it up online. That's pretty much the only time I'll look up a strategy guide on a first play-through.
The guides tend to have a lot of spoilers in them, so I don't like using them.

I try not too. I like being able to figure things out for myself and looking at a walkthrough gets tiresome.

Generally no. There's not much reason to these days. But on occasion I will look up the answer to a puzzle. (Phantom Hourglass's "seal", I'm looking at you.)
If I DO get a guide, it's usually as a collectors item or for RPGs. I love looking at the different maps and character art.

I usually dont, unless im stuck at a part that ive tried multiple times to get past. I will use guides to find secret stuff though.

Nah, I really don't prefer to use them.
I may use a strategy guide for fighting games to understand some of the mechanics of the game and learn a few tricks. That's about it.

Yes during the parts when I'm stuck and have no idea on what to do next. Before a boss I always check up on the best ways to fight it and what to use and avoid if that counts.
