Click to show or hide he saved the world from the JUBI , a ten tailed beast and the combination of all tailed beasts... The sage sealed the beast inside him, but he knew that as soon as he died the sealwould break... so he divided the beast to nine... and so came NINE tailed beasts when the sage was dying, he had to choose 1 of 2 descendants to inherit his power... The older one had the sage's eye, he believed that peace could be achieved by power... The younger one had the sage's body and strength, he believed peace could be achieved by love... and so the sage chose the younger one... the older one could not accept the sage's decision,and so he planned to attack the younger one... Then the night came and they fought a long battle which was passed down to their descendants... the descendant of the younger one was the 1st hokage... His clan was called Sanju... the descendant of the older one was Madara... and His clan was called Uchiha... Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Surprisingly, Naruto has Sanju blood... So Naruto Namekaze and Sasuke Uchiha are meant to be ENEMIES...

(Madera) One who kills his entire clan just to test his limits. (Itachi) Then one who abadons his village and beats the crap out of his best friend to join Orochimaru so he can obtain revenge (Sasuke)

Click to show or hide The Uchiha clan was planning to take over Konoha... Itachi was one of the Anbu Black Ops, and so it was his duty to protect the village... He failed that mission because he was not able to kill Sasuke, because Sasuke meant so much to him... Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Later in the series, Itachi will let Sasuke kill him because of his guilt... and Sasuke doesn't even know Itachi was just letting him win...

If Uchiha Madara is so incredibly powerful, what does that tell us of the first Hokage that actually defeated him. And the portrayal of said Hokage in the battle of the Sarutobi against Orochimaru. He probably wasn't summoned at least at 10th of his real power, because he would have wiped the floor with Sarutobi, who is very strong but very old at that point.
