I don't know, but he said his eye couldn't even detect the number of hits naruto's new attack did. (and it's not even complete). That alone should say something. Maybe Kakashi is saying that naruto has surpassed him because he sees the fourth (his sensei) in him. Now with Kakashi's mangekyu sharingan he is probably stronger than naruto. However I still think both kakashi and naruto are really cool!

Has anyone seen any depictions or fan illustrations of the leader of akatsuki? My avatar was supposedly uchiha madara (theorized to be the leader of akatsuki but as someone pointed out, the leader has dots or piercings on his face. Then I stumbled across this fanart by Dattebayo:

Okay here's the explanation:
The reason why chidori is called raikiri (lightning edge) is because Kakashi once split a bolt of lightning with it. Ever since this legend the move coined the name "Raikiri" or "Lightning Edge." Gai reveals this fact durring the Sasuke vs Gaara match. So I assume that when a chidori is powerful enough that it can split a lightning bolt (like Kakashi's chidori) it is then called raikiri. This is the reason why Kakashi's raikiri is A rank and Sasuke's normal chidori is only B rank. So it IS the same move but at different levels. This is my understanding of the move.
