*Cosmetic Plastic Surgery- Right or Wrong?*

i think is wrong is excess or without a valid reason
well i mean that would be make because someone have a physical problem a real physical problem because they feel bad at the way they are but that is more psycologic...

but in conclusion...at finals is own desicion of each person huh x_x

I think its alright ,Its up to the person who has money anyway but if it was me I would never do it! I think you should accept how you are and love your body! Other than that some people regret it like for example (Boob jobs that go wrong and women get scarred boobies for life)

you know if you're in the military or your husband[for the matter] the military will pay for your surgery if you get fake boobs....Reason being is they can say that oh, it's making you depressed, so bam, they pay for it. or if it affects you in any way. but yeah....
i think it's so stupid that parents let their 16 year old CHILD get a boob, nose, or even a butt job done. i even think it's stupid when i see a 11 YEAR old CHILD hair that is alreadu dyed or highlighted....like their looks already really matter at that age?!? what is the world becoming to, seriously. I wish my parents were more strict on my hair...
But seriously....the entertainment industry make people this way, like looks matter the most in this world...

^ i agree with you about the 11 year olds!

They shouldn't be worried about things like that at such a young age! They are still developing aswell so it seems stupid to take such drastic measures when they may still change naturally.
I definitely think younger children are more image conscious now; its shows in the clothes they wear and their attitudes to others and themselves.

There are some stupid things you can get done now! Someone already mentioned eyelashes but you can also get a bit of your toe removed so that it will be the perfect length. o_O

its wrong in general, but if you have a big medical problem and you need to get it fixed then its okay. except when ppl keep getting it over and over again...there was a people (i dont remember what magazine it was) magazine article a few weeks ago about these people who've had dozens of operations..

I don't really think it's a question of right or wrong, but rather of responsibility. Morals, such as right and wrong, are all just speculation and points of view. If a person is responsible, then they can make a decision that they feel comfortable with and are willing to go through with it regardless of what other people think. People, in this sense, need to be greedy with their emotions and try to find out who they really are.

I think its a persons right to chose, I don't think anyone should have the right to tell anyone what to do with their body

they are suppose to limit how many times someone can get work done anyway b/c after so many they are suppose to get checked mentally...

I don't think anyone should want to get plastic surgery for vanity reasons but ya, its not really my choice if they do

personally i would never get cosmetic surgery, but i think it's fine. people want to pay thousands to get a nose job, botox injections, face lift, etc. it doesn't matter to me either way. the world is already shallow as it is... even if you think about it... the development of hair-removal creams, make-up, hair weaves, even for guys---going to the gym to get a six pack, etc.. isn't this all for enhancing personal beauty? the world will always be like this... united states, europe, asia all have their different definitions of beauty. just let it be. if certain people don't like it, then don't get it for yourself. that's basically it.

I think of someone was bruned or in a bad accident and it physically altered their apperance for the worse, then plastic surgery is fine. Vain reasons differ I think, some are good and some are bad.

here's a short story: one of my friends recently said that she wanted to get breast enlargements for her 18th. when she told us this we were immediately against it. we thought she was joking or it was just one of those things people wished for but never acted upon. she's not ugly and she's one of the most cleverest people I've ever met but she said she always felt self conscious about her lack of curves. she felt it would make her more liked, more popular especially amongst the guy crowd. we never noticed it before but she always was rather withdrawn when meeting new people. all of us felt this whole breast enlargement thing stemmed from her own self consciousness.
So say she did get plastic surgery and it made her more confident just as someone with birth defects might become more confident as a result of having the defect removed using surgery. Does this make having breast enlargements any more acceptable?

not needed. people are the way they are and in being so are an individual. to have plasic surgery to look like everyone elce strips you of the ability to say that you are an individual becuse by the mass conditioning you have chosen to be like everyone elce. besides people are better the way they are to change it makes them look fake. and to want to change your looks is as if you are rejecting your heritage and your natural human traits. the only time i feel plastic sergery is ok if for those who look so diffrent that the world cant accept them becuse they are so shallow. or when the plastic sergery is for health reasons, not vanity.
