I'm Korean American and lately the American shows have been pretty lame. I like the drama format and it's great to continuously watch all the episodes for the good dramas!
The storys are more poignant and I can really relate to the everyday interactions portrayed in the shows.
I wasn't a real addict until I saw I'm Sorry, I Love You for the second time. I was having some difficulties with my parents at the time but this drama really made me appreciate my parents and helped me realize how much they mean to me.

Well you only have to look at my avatar to guess who got me interested in Korean dramas
SInce then I have watched more than a few, I like happy ends and funny rather than tear jerkers, so that kind of cuts down the those I have watched. I find them very refreshing, like looking at life from another point of view.
The big thing is family and how it dominates not only life but future, unlike the western view on things where extended family makes others think you are a bit weird or something.

Since I'm Chinese, I got addicted to Devil Beside You and my friend who is Korean said I should watch Full House & My Lovely Sam Soon AND that was it for me! Ahh so bad for me... >.< haha

I don't know what exactly was it...I was just wandering around Crunchyroll thinking what to watch....Then saw Goongs DMV and thought it was interesting...Started to watch Goong...1 ep...ah one more....and so on. I was hooked by it and after I finished it, started to watch another one. |
