i don't care what you guys say! i was the unlucky 1 who didn't get that much anesthesia mind you they injected each tooth with like 6 shots and it didnt do a dam thing and i also happened to have all 4 wisdom teeth pulled within 45 minutes! yes my friend it DOES hurt! they told me i was gonna feel a lot of pressure! do you know what that pressure felt like!? it felt like a dam truck rolled on my face!!!! let me put it like, this im a mother, and i would gladly have another child or fall down the stairs again) then to feel that kind of pain! so far iv gotten both fingers on my hands slammed and locked in a car door yea that hurt) i flew off the stairs in my school and tumbled down the stairs resulting in me going to the hospital and staying at home in bed for two weeks because i had a massive swollen forehead and then i had a baby years later and i tell you now i would rather go through all that then to feel THAT kind of pain again! do you know that people could die from a toothache? imagine getting 4 of them pulled out? i was in bloody tears to top it off and i wasn't given medication for the pain! so just imagine how that was for a couple of days? and i had the face a chipmunk for a couple of days! and i couldn't eat either i was to only drink stuff i say get it over with you can definitely lose the rest of the teeth in your mouth if you don't, so yea it is that bad!!!

Mine are growing in horizontally, so like into my molars. They're ready to come out (surgically) ...but I'm a little too afraid to actually have it done. They're going to put me to sleep (anesthesia awareness anybody?)...but I know it's going to really suck afterwards. It'll have to happen soon though.

hmm I got my first wisdom tooth removed...it wasn't painful...more like disturbing. I was wide awake when they did it....well the noise was depressing to hear because you know the drilling sounds...ugghh. I'm getting the other removed next year...I really don't want to experience that. My mouth was swollen and I kept drooling. LOL well the most painful thing about this is food. You can't eat hard stuff for quite a long time...which sucks..all the good food was taking from me...

Oh my god it was HORRIBLE for me!!! They had to break part of my lower jaw to get one of them out, and it gave me nerve damage I'm still recovering from almost a year later. My head swelled up so big I couldn't put my tshirt on, and it bruised all the way in my neck

I had all of my wisdom teeth out 4 years ago and yeah it was painful! I wasn't nervous at all before they took my wisdom teeth out, they gave me gas that is called a "Laughing Gas," I didn't know what they meant by that until I started to giggle with no reason and I was laughing out loud at the person who gave me shots in my arms. After a few seconds, black out.

I woke up feel numb, I could feel my cheeks swollen up, it was so big that I couldn't even move my jaw when I try to talk and couldn't control my saliva that kept drooling out of my mouth . I also got stitches in my gums.

After I got home I throw up. I was force to stay in bed for couple of days and eat only yogurts, scrabble eggs and non-hard foods for 2 weeks!!

i just got my right impacted tooth removed about 2 hours ago.. it wasn't so bad..i also got stitched up..didn't hurt, but i'm not sure because it might hurt later.(i'm still a bit numb from the anaesthesia) i' m on ice packs right now. and i'm planning to just eat ice cream for dinner

anyways, it's a good thing i had it removed because the surgeon also saw a "tooth follicle" or something like that..he said that it could become a cyst in 5-10 years if ignored

i'm gonna return on friday to get the left one out

ahaa.. still haven't put out mine yet..
im confused with it..
i sometimes get this painful feeling bc i think..
its a wisdom tooth forcing itself to grow..
then it will eventually go away after 2 days..

In August, I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed and I'm really nervous. Everyone talks about how painful it is and how much i'll hate it.

What's it actually like? Can anyone that's gone through it offer up some advice?? Does it hurt that bad?

I'm really worried because I know that a girl from my school had a pretty serious reaction to the surgery and had a seizure. scary scary. but if i don't do it, my teeth will be shoved out of alignment.

lol couldnt tell you how painful it was getting mine removed i told the guy who pulled them to knock me out or i was gonna knock him out lol 30 to 40 min later it was done gave me medicen and the other good stuff only problem i had was the anastecia caused me to somewhat get sick for a couple minutes after waking up. you just dont want to get dry socket that is effing pain full luckily i didnt get that but my cousin did. as for advice go do it get it done with the sooner the better.
