dead roses,
in full bloom past,
beauty stays,
beauty leaves,
thorns always remain...
the monster raging in my mind,
the vault is shaking,
the demon wants out...
close your eyes,
the roses have died,
the thorns are still sharp...
petals fall before eyes that don't care
and roses cry out,
never to be heard...
let the monster catch a tear,
let the being realize pain,
let the monster remember...
thorns are still sharp,
petals still hold beauty even dry on the ground...
the monster knows this,
and adds it own tears to the roses'
the demon is still raging,
the monster still fighting,
the roses still crying,
and petals still falling...
