My friend transferred this year, the bad thing is they didn't tell anyone. And I ended up getting my hopes up they were simply having a extended vacation, then they messaged me yesterday they transferred <.>

Okay, this is my first topic, and I'm not sure if it already exists, I didn't see it in the older threads...

Yesterday my girlfriend move to Seattle in Washington state, and I live in Florida, across the damn country. We had our tearful goodbye at the airport, and then she left. We decided not to have a long distance relationship, even though we do love each other, we both thought it would be easier to let go and move on, even though we will be friends and keep in touch. I wanted to know about other times when other people had to let go of something or someone, even when they didn't want to, and how they moved on.

We're currently at long distance relationship, we will be having our 2nd year anniversary this month, but i'm planning to break up with her (tho i really don't know if it is good for a guy to start to break up). reasons are: i don't feel the love anymore, she will be going to japan next year, or maybe the problem is in me. I asked her last night, if long distance relationship is difficult for her, she replied "yes" then it concludes that i should let go off her, i don't want her to suffer at this damn relationship.

come on. if you can let go.. then you can forget.. but then,, forgetting something/someone is a very long and hard process.. just think that God has plans for us and its what's best.

I might be unsympathetic but at least you know she's alive, safe and sound. Be glad about that. I didn't want to let my parents go for a long time, but in middle of a class lesson half a year later, I had a realisation that I have to accept it and move on, so I did. I had a tougher job letting go of anger over that dumb fuck who drank and drove and that he got only three years for it, but I got over it. Life goes on. People die every day. People leave every day. Memories are born and, with time, some fade away. It can get harder to remember their faces clearly, but that's the way it goes.

Now when friends move away or when I break up with a girlfriend, I'm fine with it because it's just a page in a book. You have to keep turning pages if you want to live your life. At least you can always flip back to their page if you want to remember them.

oh my god. the last part is so nice and beautiful. And it is true.
