yeah, I agree that it depends on the glasses. Sometimes those people specializing in eyeglasses choose those glasses that really fits the eyes of the user. Just like mine, the specialist pick glasses for me for about an hour just to fit it in my eyes and the mold of my face.

I don't find them that hot if their eyeglasses are as big as those betty la fea is using

Anyway...
I've read that Jun Matsumoto is far sighted, does it mean he really do use "real" glasses? I find him hot though in one particular photo when he was in his high school days. I regret that I've deleted it when I badly needed to save more important data.
