Big Bang's Top is concentrating on composing new songs

Top is working extra hard on composing songs for the new Big Bang album coming out in august. Top is also featuring as a rapper in Uhm Jung Hwa's album coming out on July 1st. Even though working in Uhm Jung Hwa's comeback performance is busy enough, Top has also been occupied with his new activity[composing].

The reason why Top has started composing again was because of certain fan't letter. During the '2008 Global Warning Tour' on the 22nd @ 4pm in the Seoul Stadium Top stated that "The new album is in preperation right now. Not long ago a fan sent me a letter saying that she'd like to see Big Bang become a group that is respected as true singers. After reading that letter I felt this sudden urge to start composing again." He also stated that he will "Work hard so that Big Bang will become true singers"

On this day Top showed off his new hairdo for Uhm Jung Hwa's comeback performance. "This is the first time [during the seoul concert] i'm showing my new hairstyle." Top also stated that " I felt like a student constantly getting his hw checked while working on Uhm Jung hwa sunbae's music video." Top was amazed and learned much from Uhm Junh Hwa on the set.

Top also stated that he "Felt so proud" when Taeyang won 1st place on Mnet with his new song "Look at only me".
" Even though he's a dongseng, his hard working look has influenced me." [As in Top would like to do some solo related work like taeyang is doing right now.]

On another note, Big Bang's '2008 Global Warning Tour' has been going on since March in Japan, Thailand, and Korea. Big Bang felt especially heart warming performing in Thailand and Japan since it was their first time performing in theses places since their debut. Big Bang will end their 3 month long concert tour in Seoul on the 22nd.

"T.O.P casted for IRIS alongside Lee Byung Hun",

T.O.P from Big Bang has been casted in “IRIS”, his second drama.

“IRIS” is attracting attention from viewers because of the big names already signed to the drama like director Kang Je Gyu (Taegukgi: The Brotherhood Of War), director Lee Hyung Min (I’m Sorry, But I Love You) and also the return of Lee Byung Hun to the small screen after an absence of five years.

T.O.P will play an assassin that’s sent by IRIS, a secret organization hidden in America to assasinate Lee Byung Hun’s character who belongs to NSS, another secret organization. T.O.P was last seen in KBS “I Am Sam” drama and have impressed so much that he is now given a chance to work alongside Lee Byung Hun and Kang Je Gyu in just his second drama in less than a year.

With over 20 million dollars invested in “IRIS”, the 20-episodes drama will start filming in countries like Russia, Japan, China, America plus other overseas countries in October. It is scheduled for broadcast in the earlier part of 2009.

Big Bang’s TOP captured fans’ gazes when he first showed his disco-style hair.

Big Bang held the “2008 Global Warning Tour” Concert in Seoul Jamshil Gymnasium on the 22nd at 4 PM. On this day, TOP went on stage with his new hairstyle. It was a wild but cute disco style difficult for anyone other than TOP to pull off with lots of gel neatly dividing the hair both ways and having the hair pass over the part.

This transformation was so that he can have activities together with Um Jung Hwa for her minialbum, which will be released on July 1st.

TOP said, “I ended up having activities with Um Jung Hwa-nuna for her song ‘Disco’. That song’s concept is this hair. So like a student who is being graded by the teacher, I am showing my hair first to the fans to be evaluated by them first.”

He continued, “I filmed a music video a little ago. As expected, Um Jung Hwa-nuna, even though she’s known as the Korean Madonna, showed great gestures and expressions second to none. I learned a lot of new things by watching nuna. I will work harder to show an even better image in the future.”

Not only is TOP having a rap featuring in Um Jung Hwa’s minialbum, he is also participating in the composing.

He still looks good with his new disco hairstyle.
