"MBC Introduces Big Music Festa",
Monday August 25, 2008 Korea


Ulsan MBC will celebrate its 40th anniversary on October 11th with a Big Music Festa at the Munsu Cup Stadium. Tickets will go on sale August 29th at 7pm via Interpark. Scheduled to perform are DBSK, SNSD (Girls' Generation), Jewelry, V.O.S, Wonder Girls and Big Bang.

The tickets start at 33,000 won (around $30), and the VIP high class tickets will run approximately 55,000 won (around $50).

"2nd Mnet 20’s Choice - Highlights"

2nd Mnet 20’s Choice ended with a bang with many great moments and stages on Saturday 23rd August in Seoul JangChoongChae Stadium.

The 5-hour long award ceremony gave out awards to about 26 artistes for the best music, drama and movies amongst people in their 20s who voted online.

Sexy stars Lee Hyori and Um Jung Hwa gave the fans a special treat with special transformation and performance of each other’s hit songs “U-Go-Girl” and “DISCO”…

They performed each other’s songs. Um Jung Hwa with “U-Go-Girl” and Lee Hyori with “DISCO”.

I thought I couldn’t recognise who that was standing next to Lee Hyori. Um Jung Hwa looked weird in the “U-Go-Girl” style, though she looked hot in it.

While Hyori pulls off “DISCO” weird bangs and Dragonball family costume easily. And she got to perform with her favourite idol Big Bang member TOP.

Idol group Big Bang perform ed together for the first time with rock band No Brain ‘Oh My Friend’.

They were also rewarded the “Hot Trend” awards during the ceremony.

Seo In Young and SHINee had a joint stage with real rain stimulation in the ‘musical’ ‘Looking for Cinderella under the umbrella’. I thought SHINee really looked like minors now performing next to Seo In Young.

SHINee also won the “New Star” awards, their first awards 3 months into their debut. The boys were in tears when they received their awards.

She awarded another award “Hot Performance Musician” Award. The award totally belongs to her, she looked gorgeous tonight with every set of clothes she was in, I especially love her pink dress tonight.

There was also a Ant-Witch couple moment at the awards ceremony.

Crown J and Seo In Young were awarded the “Hot Couple” award. We can’t agree more that they deserve the award, though Seo In Young was in a not-so-her dress. She looked so demure in it. Is that dress a new product?

Girl idol group So Nyeo Shi Dae also did a special stage with Kim Gun Mo. They were awarded the “Hot Sweet Music Award”, with which the trophy was handed over to them by Kim Gun Mo himself.

It didn’t seem like all the members were present at the awards. I counted seven.

GDragon, “I want to get married soon and settle down”

Big Bang leader GDragon made a shocking confession, “I want to get married soon”.

He said that on 23rd August on KBS 2TV “Entertainment Weekly” Guerilla Date corner, other Big Bang members were also present.

One of the reporter had commented that his hairstyle is unique and GDragon replied with, “I had thought a lot about having this hairstyle, I wanted show everyone a different and more manly side of me. And I am very satisfied with this hairstyle.” GDragon had a comeback with a new Mohican hairstyle which became the topic amongst fans and netizens.

And when it came to the “Big Bang’s Special Truth or Lie” corner, GDragon was given 3 votes out of the other members as the member “Who will probably get married first”.

And then GDragon was posed the question “Do you have a girlfriend” and his answer was “It’s not that” and he continued to explain, “I think it seemed that I am going to be the one who would step into the wedding hall and get married the earliest. And I do want to build a home together with the person I love and our baby soon.”

GDragon was also drew attention when he selected himself when the group was asked “Who is the smartest member?”. He explained, “Being the leader, I have to be flexible and quick to face the situations.”

Also on the episode, the members chose TOP to be the “member with the lowest mental age”. TOP accepted the title willing and said, “I do like toys and I think like a child.”

"Mutizen award for Big Bang in just 2 weeks into comeback"

Big Bang won the Mutizen award on 24th August on SBS Inkigayo with their 3rd album comeback title song “Haru Haru”.

This is just 2 weeks into their comeback with their 3rd album “Stand Up” on 8th August.

Big Bang has been one of the leading artiste groups in the Kpop zone since releasing popular hits like “Lies” and “Last Farewell”. In addition, Big Bang has been sweeping many #1s on various online music sites. And their latest 3rd minialbum has also surpassed the 100,000 copies for offline sales.

Big Bang said after receiving the Mutizen award, “We are happy to be receiving this prize after our comeback. We will continue to work hard as Big Bang in the future.”
