its a pyshcological thriller..i doubt the american directors can pull it off....and HAH!! there is NO ONE! and i MEAN no one gud enough o play L..theres absolutely no one in d industry who can immersely himself in d role and get every lil detail..except for johnny depp who is 20yrs too old o play L's part...
ok, so i totally agree. i think the only person in the american movie industry that could potentially pull of a character such as L is johnny depp (who is too old for the role) or anthony hopkins (who is like 50 years too old for the role)
i just can't help thinking that the teenage/early 20's actors in american movies are too fake to play in a movie such as death note. don't think they can pull it off
exactly they need someone who really really immerses themselevs in d role (jus like the jap dude who played L..i jus admire him for all the effort he had taken)....theres no one in hollyqood of age 20+ who is such a gud ctor..and i will kill myself if shia lebouf is even considered

so im gonna stop hatin and say that zac really does look like Light, and he might even have the skills to portray SOME of the characteristics of Light, but the only thing that people are gonna be thinking while watching is HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. if zac was an unknown actor it might've worked but now he will NEVER be able to revert back to serious roles. that is the end of my opnion. =P

Yeah, Johnny Depp is the only person I can imagine playing that part. It sucks that he's too old. Whoever does get these parts needs to be extremely good at acting out the characters. If they screw up the movie, they're going to have a massive amount of Death Note fans out to KILL them. *dun dun DUN* O_o

i haven't seen death note, but it still pisses me off that it's not getting much respect and it's probably gonna be screwed up. I wouldn't have a problem with american remakes if they actually did the original justice.
