How well does your PC handle Crysis?
Posted 11/20/07
Right I was wondering how well everyone's PC can handle Crysis, because a lot of people won't buy the game because they fear it will make their rig explode. So the point of this thread is so that people who have got the game can firstly tell people what they think of it and also they can post what fps they get with what hardware and at what settings so that people with similar setups know if their rig stands a chance of running it!

Right to start I think its a really fun game with gameplay almost as good as its graphics.

2 x 8800GTX SLI, quad core processor, 3gb RAM gets you a solid 50 fps on very high settings at 1600x1200.

My pc handles it very well I got an Radeon X1600/X1650 series graphics card but thats not enough to make the graphics show at its best. It doesnt run slow on my computer at all. I am using a dell dimension lol not even one of those gaming pc's. what do you mean by rig exploding?

Huh, downloading it. Dunno how I could set the graph ^.^
PC:
- Athlon 64 X2 4000+
- 2GB DDRII 800MHz RAM
- Sapphire HD 2600 XT 256 GDDR4

And fo'sho my kawaii Razer DiamondBack ^^

Going to test my PC and set the graph on the best [when it's downloaded]

nVidia GeForce 7300

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ @ 3.0GHz
2x ATI Radeon HD 2900XT's w/ 1GB GDDR4 each (in Crossfire)
4GB Corsair XMS DDR2 RAM (PC2 6400)

Then you obviously don't know new games (Crysis in particular)...On top of that only really two ridiculously high-end systems have been posted thus far...Stickmania's and mine...

I am speaking in general my pc runs crysis extremely well all I need is a better graphics card and I am gold. Like I said I havent seen a computer game that needs all these ridicoulsly high end specs to run it. I think I can run any game on my dell dimision with a good graphics card. I dont feel the need to go out my way and get 2G ram for my pc just to play a game.

I bought my system with future proofing in mind though, sure I spent a lot and its only really Crysis that needs the power right now but I won't need an upgrade for a couple of years.

The thing about computer games is that new models and versions of computers get developed so fast that you have to keep upgrading or buying a new PC. That's the one reason I don't like PC games.

EDIT: My computer can't handle it at all....
