honestly, i don't really feel awkward during silences. it's not really necessary to be talking all the time just because you're in someone elses company

^ I second that. There alot of awkward silence around me...I just continue doing what i`m doing till the other person either leave or spurt up a converation, normally it either religion, teachers, homework, sometime people would what type,size, and color of er....how should I should i word tis under garment...they normally either better be kidding or they really high on dope...*goes to the emo corner*

I usually try to say something else or I just stop talking altogether. (My social and conversation skills suck, so awkward silences happen to me a lot, and it's one of the most uncomfortable things ever, at least to me it is.)

When ever that happens to me I just usually acknowledge the situation and just laugh and say., "Now, this just got awkward."
Usually after saying that a new conversation begins. If not, I just leave right away and use having some things to do as an excuse. |
