Awkward Silences tells a lot :/

We basically acknowledge the awkward silence and say, "Awkward silence" at the same time.

i tend to shuffle my feet when that happens.

me and my friend just kinda sigh and say "yeahhhhh........mmhhmm......" when there are awkward silences.

I hate awkward silences, they're just... well.... AWKWARD!!

if i have nothing specific to say to someone and there's no conversation flowwwwing then i just start nattering on about the most recent important(-ish) event in our lives, like the other day i was walking home with this guy from my friends party who i didn't know so well, (although we've been in the same school since year three and are now year elevens) and we started talking about GCSE results, which we'd got that day and ended up talking about primary school. so that was okay

lol, I hate them. Alot.

I had a good awkward silence today, during school. So, anyways... Today we had pizza at school. So I sat down after I got my lunch and this guy (note, I do not know him at all. He's a freshman I believe and I'm a junior) sits down right beside me and just stares at me. I'm thinking to myself,"What the hell does the guy want? He's making me fell really awkward."
So then he says,"You have beautiful eyes."
I'm thought to myself "whoa, what??" So I turned and looked at him for a minute and said,"Uhh... Thank...You?" o.O
Then he puts his arm around my shoulder. And this freshman guy who sitting in front of me on another table yells,"Did h ask for your pizza??" I just said no. So.. the random guy gets up and walks away. Apparently he wanted my pizza... I think? I was left sitting there thinking"wtf just happened?"
THEN, he comes back 10 minutes later and the bell rings right when he comes back. He stood beside me and asked me for my number! Another awkward silence occurred. I told him no, of course, so he walks away looking disappointed. I thought he was just messing around with me, because my school is full of idiots so I didn't take him seriously. Even if he was being serious, that was EXTREMELY awkward and weird.
That's just awkward and random no matter how you look at it.

I'm not bothered by awkardness, rather I get amused, so I would probally hold out to see what the other person was gonna do and how long until they do it.

I either laugh or just say "awwwwkwarrrdd" and then everyone just laughs and the conversation becomes non-awkward.

one time my friend was visiting and i was walking through the front room and tripped and my pants fell down which was quite embarrasing considering the friend was a girl

Yup yup they suck
If something gets awkward i just start a random topic to talk about but its its really bad ill just sit there and stare off into space

Hmmm lets see........... My worst awkward experience was last week me and the guy couldnt even look at each other let alone talk *something in the past* lol so i just kept drinking until i was kinda wasted so that i wouldnt feel awkward anymore

they suck. an experience would be about a year ago. there was a guy who said he liked me over the phone and i didn't know what to say b/c i didn't see him in that kind of way. the silence was pretty awkward.

It find it awkward when people can't just relax and be themselves and enjoy the moment, but absolutely have to ruin it by talking constantly.

Yeah, It's really weird :
Me : Hi how are you doing ?
stranger : Good , and you ?
Me : I'm good too

1 minutes passed ...

Stranger : What is your selective ?
Me : music , and yours ?
stranger : Art

Another minutes passed ...

And we just keep trying to find any conversation to broke the silence , and in the end , we both goes home without any smile . And say bye to each other . (I feel very awkward)
