Waiting for my game, and for my laptop to get back from repair

I would give anything to try the beta, I can't wait for the game. I am super excited about it. The best thing is it will be optimized for all kinds of computers

So, did anyone manage to romp around in the public beta this last weekend? I unfortunately missed it.

Diablo 3 = Biggest failure of the year.

Graphics: 8/10
Sound: 9/10
Gameplay: 7/10

Overall: 8/10 (minus 5 for online-DRM)

Net Overall: 3/10

- Requires an active internet connection to play a single player RPG.
- Can't play the single player game you paid for because of server issues.
- Takes a least 20-30mins to log-in.
- Multiple in-game errors for a full released game like the error 33 and templar follower shield error.
- Monster spawn, item / equipment drops, NPC quests, etc.. are all hosted server side.
- Limited character customization (cannot customize your character looks, hairstyles, skin color, etc...).
- Automatic attribute allocation system.
- Repetitive & linear hack and slash gameplay and grinding.

OK I really love Diablo 2, but I wish that Diablo 3 will give use more freedom to customize our characters and their attributes. This is 2012 if other games like Dragon Age (Origins) and Skyrim can customize your characters why can't Diablo 3 do the same thing? and we waited for 12 years for that. Also the biggest thing that pisses me off is that it requires an internet connection to play the damn game. Seriously? no offline feature for a single player game, are you fucking kidding me? Once you got disconnected from the game (i.e: from an error) you have to spend ages to log-in again. Thank you Blizzard for all your efforts on combating piracy, because of that it is us, the legit users who are suffering. I truly regret wasting $60 on that thing.

If you're planning to buy the game, I suggest you think twice first.

It's always the same shit. Save the world, kill villains, bla bla bla. I wonder if I'll ever get to be the villain destroying the world. I was hoping Aion would have done that with their demon - angel theme, but what a huge fail.

I was fairly impressed with D3. Although it isn't a super long game, I believe it does have replay value and know I personally am many many hours away from ever beating it on inferno mode

It is a long game ! untill you kill that bastard on inferno, your not done ! And thats not something you do on a weekend unless you are a profetional player, in wich case no game takes longer.

I didn't care for it. I think I put 25 hours into it and was disappointed. Boring due to the fact that I have no one on my friends list so playing single player is kind of boring. Never cared to jump into a public either :p. My boyfriend probably put 100 hours into only cause his brother was playing it and he had something to do.
