live drama is more realistic and plausible, manga is cute and touching as is, but drama gave it more in-depth treatment

The drama had more depth to it and it touched me more. I liked the story for the manga better, but not how it was carried out so much. I particularly also didn't like the Riko in the manga as much as I did in the drama. The only one in the drama that didn't seem right to me was Soshi, but Night and Riko were perfect together in the drama. They did a great job in acting. Drama all the way.

i like both manga and drama. The drama had a different story, and i realy love how night tried so much for riko's sake. About soshi, i like him in manga better than in drama. Not because the actor, but i like soshi's character as riko's best friend.

it's hard to say, the plot was changed a lot. I honestly liked both . I assumed the live action was going to be corny but I ended up really addicted and couldn't wait for episodes to be subbed.. The live felt a bit dry during the beginning but it winded down really beautifully

I really love both and I think we shouldn't even compare them. The manga has a younger feel to it. The characters are all in highschool and it's more like a fantasy story. I mean, the Kronos Heaven there is a company from the future Plus the boss of Namikiri was a little kid.

The live action version is more mature and realistic. The characters are in their early twenties and are all working. Plus you could easily picture it happening in real life in the future. (Although I think Japan would make worker robots first before making love robots since that's more practical.)

All I'm saying is that if you like something youthful and somewhat magical, you'd go for the manga version but if you like mature and realistic stuff then the live-action version would suit your taste. Although, I have to say, Night is adorable in both version. But I like the live one better since he's less horny and has cute puppy-dog eyes when he's sad. I thought Mokomichi didn't suit the role when I first heard of this drama but after I watched him, I'm completely convinced that no one else could play that role better than him! I absolutely adore him now!

That's exactly what I thought!!

I, myself, watched some of the first episodes and since people kept saying it was so different, I read the manga. And I loved it of course. At first I thought that the manga was better since Night was more human like, and Riko was much kinder to him. But in the end both the Live action and the manga left me in tears, so I consider them on equal grounds. Like Yankumi7 said, they took a different approach to the story in the LA, it was more realistic so there had to changes. I also agree on Night ^^, he's adorable in both versions! Which is why it's so painful so see him end up like that, twice!
So to end my rant lol I couldn't vote for either, they're both great stories, and have sad sad endings for me. I love them both!

Live action
more realistic, not the high school puppy love scenario that is a typical shojo setting
the idea is indeed very unique and glad the producer decides to adapt the ideas into this live action. great story line, live action only makes it better.

love Hiro! liked him since watching Hana Kimi, so look forward to more of his dramas in the future. <3

and then there is Mokomichi! he is adorable too ( > o < )

hehehhe. only live action can brings out 2 of such cute boys on screen!!
