ramen (ラーメン　ramen or in more fancy terms 中華そば　chuukasoba) is chinese style thin noodles, typically a mix between wheat and buckwheat (this might just be soba but i dont feel like looking it up ^^;) flour that is served hot in a soup of sorts flavored in whatever way

udon noodles are thick and typically just wheat flour. served hot in a broth or ice cold for dipping into a sauce like dashi or mirin or tsuyu

and i only know cuz i had to do a dumb project when i studied abroad >.> oh the worthless information in my head!

hahas. so informational. (8 not so worthless now? LOL you had to do something like comparing noodles?
