Perhaps the music score of Higurashi is the only thing that Studio DEEN did right. Then again, the guy behind the music of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni also did the score for the "Ghost in the Shell" movie. Creepy and haunting, cruel and taunting. The song sets the tone of the first season of Higurshi and perhaps, the visual novel, perfectly.
