Also when the animal is slaughtered it has to be a Muslim person because you have to ask permission or if you want thank god before killing the animal.

It's also okay for Muslim to eat the meat from the animal slaughtered by Christians or Jews... or so i think.

Quran 5:3

This day are (all) good things made lawful for you. The food of those who have received the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. ...

I'm not in the position to say anything

You're in Japan...is there Halal there?

Not in the town where i lived... neither kosher food. But it's pretty easy to find halal foods in Tokyo.

That's what I thought since my cousin ''claimed'' that there's Halal food in Tokyo. So...what did you eat in your old town? Sea food? (Sorry I'm too curious)

This is a general thread in which anything about Halal can be tackled. (kinds of food? food preparation? the ritual and spiritual overtones? what is permissible Shariah? what is not permissible Shariah? dietary laws? and etc)..

There are a few rituals I know such as how to kill chickens and cows and they don't have any "food preparation".
They can't eat pork and drink alcohol which I agree with them.

yeah, can you explain or demonstrate the ritual on the animal kill for us?

I'm not sure. The way Muslim kill cows/chickens etc are different. They cut 2/3 of the throat where blood flows the most and let it flow until the heart stops pumping. The heart is actually pumping all the dirty blood which is healthy. On the other hand, we kill animals just like this "WHAM!" The end. The truth is that there are still dirty blood which can cause diseases in the animal.

There is also reason why they don't eat pork because it's hard to find the artery in the throat. I live in a Muslim country and I'm currently studying their lifestyle.

um..i eat Halal food.its for Muslim of course.eating Halal food is good for your health too.we can't eat pork & drink alcohol.even the way you want to kill the animal is different.about Halal its about many things actually.like when you pick an apple from an apple tree at your neighbour house w/o asking their permission is considered as Haram[or not Halal].or when you touch the opposite sex that doesnt related to you.its considered as Haram too.
too many for me to explain..haha!

Islam is easy actually.it just that..the person itself think its hard & it become hard for that person.
