Hmmm... speed, I guess... I mean, as long as it's readable and understandable, that'd be owké, right!?!
The quality.. is vry important oso, bt.. jeesh, if you've gotta wait veeeery long, it's jjust not worth it anymore, sometimes...

Speed. Altho the fansubs have to be of a certain quality. Because if they turn out to be like the subs we have on VCDs here in singapore, then please, work on your quality!

I wish i learnt japanese. THen i could help with the fansubbing. ><

I would want the speed to be reasonable sometimes the sub just pass and you miss it out also "okay" quality would be good too

Quality, because I hate not being able to see an actor/actresses expression/face. Quality, over quantity, always and forever.

Depends on the series. There are a few reasons why I would choose quality over speed for the majority of the time. One being I have a tendency to analyze what I watch, second is if it's a series I am attached to, I would definitely consider quality to be the most important, third is I'm generally a patient person so I don't mind waiting. :] When I'm not expecting much from a series, or I'm just looking for something to pass the time, the faster the subs come out, the faster I can get through the series and go onto something else.

Quality. I wouldn't mind waiting a week for a good sub. I only have time during weekends to watch JDrama on the net.

this is my opinion after watching one ep of some perverted drama..

omg i think quality is more important.. there were full of mistranslations and lots of "???" marks... on one ep..i think many people would not understand what they're saying.. subtitle is useless in that episode.. lol

it depends on if the drama is still running and i'm waiting for the episodes with subs to be uploaded or if all the episodes are already up with subs...cuz if it's still airing, i would want speed cuz i'd be really excited to watch the next episode, but if it's all there, i'd go for quality~

I'd go for QUALITY because I wouldn't want to watch a drama with lousy subs and wrong grammar.

quality: not a lot of people who watch jdoramas know and understand nihongo. i can understand a few things but i still need correct and accurate subs for me to understand the dialogs better. i have seen a drama (not japanese) with a bad translation, in fact i think it was the worst i've seen, the words were like translated literally and word per word... and i completely lost interest in watching it. not understanding what you're watching because there's no subs is better than understanding it in a completely wrong way because the subs are wrong or inaccurate.

Quality, I occupy myself with other things while waiting for subs, and I hate really bad grammatical errors.
