There are so many cues that scream, "NSX test mule." The exhausts don't look similar but the fact they are both stacked is a strong hint.

Looking at other pictures, the length between front wheel well and front part of the doors have similar distances on both S2000-bodied mule and more recent supercar. Same goes from the rear part of the door to the rear wheel well. The basic proportions are so similar.

For some reason people have been spreading a rumor saying these are the new NSX. Its definitely not the new NSX!!
It definitely looks like an S2000, could it be the AP3/CR?

This was just to test the goodies for the nsx. The body is a widebody S2000, spoiler is a oem s2000 spoiler (optional but ugly). S2000 is supposed to be discontinued 2008 or 2009

The car is certainly gettung there in the race to join the supercar elite, at least in my opinion but the paint job (or whatever it is) is just plain horrid. My eyes hurt just by looking at it.

Sorry I digressed. The car is on its way but its not there yet simply because it looks like a supra and drives like an s2000...at least from what I've seen.

It's camouflage. Manufacturers often wrap their test vehicles in camouflage to thwart other people's attempts to speculate on the look of the car. Some even tape what amounts to sheets of cardboard on the body to hide details.

----

But this is obviously a front-engine car. The NSX was mid-engined. Not that I think a front-engined car can't be a supercar, but if it's to be an NSX replacement, it has to be MR.

they stated it would on the market for cheap and it was stated on the site i got that from as in the 60k area but the infamous dealer markup will sky rocket it for the first few dozen and that price may not be the same. They are still modifying it to beat the GTR and ZR1 lap times. :|

BTW, there was a sideview pic of it in white on the internet, with no camoflauge body cover on it. I couldnt find the right one but heres another one with words on it :/

That image is an artist interpretation rather than an official image from the factory. Also there is not enough front overhang compared to the test images.

I am open about the price for this car. Some are saying $60,000 whereas others qoute $80,000. No matter how you look at it, this halo car doesn't seem like it will create much returns for Honda.
