I think the english dubbed is pretty good, but the original japanese voices are the best.

I have seen sub'd and dub'd episodes of Bleach and prefer the dub'd ones better because of the comparison of voices. If you take it episode by episode and compare the voices, the ones that are in the dub have a better fit to them. Especially "Kon" the mod-soul/teddy bear - the dub voice just sounds better to me, I know others opinion will vary and thats their right to, but I like the actors voices in the dub. I'm up to ep 97 in the dub, but will have to switch over to the subs while I wait for more dubs...

i think the dub voices are ok. im alright with it. the only reason i dont like it is becaus there is emotion but i dont think its emphasized enough. i have to admit bleach is dubbed way better than alot of animes, and i understand its really hard to do. change one show from japanese, they can edit it in the japanese version but the dub versions cant. then they have to put words in that make grammatical sense without wrecking the scene or changing anything. its a hard task to do. thats why its alright for me.

For instance, lets say Ichigo just got slashed by some strange alien, normally, you would hear him go "AACCCKKKKK...You b**ch!!!". But in the dubbed version, you will hear, "ah...damn..." You don't "feel" the pain in the english version whereas in the japanese version, it at least rises the tension a bit. It's hard to explain. Haha. O_O lol, ah damn, that pretty funny, u get slashed by a sword, and with a deep wound, and u just sit there sayin damn. Any who i watched it on cartoon network, but i noticed the further episodes on the computer. I pick the dub English version, because i don't understand what the Japanese are saying, nor the spanish, and others. Dub English isn't bad, i understand the episodes, Ive been watching dub with, bleach and naruto, even now. I don't see the problem, i refuse to read manga too. |

It's just the subs and the translators, trying to make it seem closer to English so we can understand. There's no "bitch" in Japanese, but there's a very vulgar insult to women though. I happen to like watching TV is my first language, it's easier to understand. >_> ANIMU IS MEANT TO BE WATCHED, NOT READ. |

I'm okay with it. It's not that bad if you are comparing it to the Naruto dub *or other bad ones*. But I love the Japanese voices better.

I hate the dub. It sounds like a bunch of old guys hacking crap into the microphone. And you can't change my mind about it. SO THERE. HA. >D
Besides, the dub isn't the original so that's basically like saying that the dub is for people that are too lazy to go and read the subs and that they like a phony not genuine remake of the original. So there. >D |
