Neo-Magister Saga
Chapter 1 And so it Begins ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** The clash of good and evil existed since the time when the world was still young. The existence of the four divine entities and their counter parts had been in conflicts to decide who will reign over their time in the mortal world. They were from four different families: Seiryuu, Suzaku, Byakko, and Genbu. Every generation were born in pairs. When the demonic side of the families wins, the world was thrown into despair. These events include the collapse of Atlantis, the volcanic eruption of Pompeii, and the Great Depression of 1929. On the other hand, when the good twins of the families win, they will lead the world into prosperity. The year is 1988. The next generation of the divine entities was born in Taiwan. However, this time, the Seiryuu family did not give birth to twins. Only one child was born into the family. Everyone was shocked when they first hear of this. The baby had one dragon looking scar engraved on each arm: a light blue colored dragon on his right arm and a black dragon on his left. The family members did not wish to put this child through any hardship and thus sealed the power of Seiryuu up within the baby’s body. Eighteen years had passed since that fated day. Fang (last name) Yu-Loong (meaning “protected by dragon”), had just graduated from UCLA at the age of 18 with a biology degree. He is about six feet tall with semi-short black hair. His appearance seem to be liked by others since he always wear a smile on his face. He has always been a very dependant person; however, due to jealousy from fellow coworkers and the fact that he is still young and inexperienced, none of the companies are willing to hire him. Thus he moved back to Taiwan with the rest of his family. One day, as he was surfing the internet, he found a job opening in Japan off Saitama. The pay was not too bad but it seems as if there had been a lot of people who quit the job after three days. However, at the time, Yu-Loong did not pay attention to the details. He just wanted to get the job and try to earn some money. Yu-Loong left Taiwan and headed to Japan a week after he applied for the job. As he arrived at his destination, he realized that he had just applied for a job to teach at a high school. The school entrance was a gigantic steel gate and the sign above it reads “Magister Koukouen.” As he stood in front of the campus, he started to think to himself this might have been a bad choice. However, he couldn’t just go back because the next bus to arrive is in another eight hours. It also took him four hours to walk to the campus from the closest bus station. There was no other choice but to visit the campus. As he entered the building, he heard a voice coming from behind him. “MOVE IT!” a girl yelled as she ran into him. “What were you doing day dreaming in front of the school anyway?! If you don’t hurry we are going to be late!” The girl was wearing a dark blue uniform. She stood at about five feet six. Her dark shining brown hair runs down to her shoulder. Her eyes sparkled like a pair of black pearls. She has a cute appearance which seems to be able to attract anyone. “But…” the girl dragged Yu-Loong along without letting him finish. “Well, I take it you are new here?” the girl asked. “Uh…yea…I guess you can say that…” Yu-Loong stuttered. “Well, you better head to your class then. My classroom is over on the other side of the school. This is the boys’ side and the other side is the girls’ side. Remember not to go over to that side ‘cause if the principal finds out you will be in a lot of trouble,” the girl warned him and ran off. “…That was unexpected…oh well. Time to go meet the superintendent I guess...Where is the teacher’s office again?” Yu-Loong wondered that as he wandered around looking for the office. After an hour of walking around campus, Yu-Loong finally found the teacher’s office. When he stepped into the room, there was only a person sitting there. “I’m here for my job interview. Where can I find the superintendent?” asked Yu-Loong. The guy stood up. He was approximately six feet. He had long jet black hair which covered his right half of his face. It didn’t seem like he was over the age of 35. The room was suddenly filled with the feeling of eeriness. “You’re talking to him.” He took a look at Yu-Loong and chuckled. “So you are the new teacher? I expected someone…well…older. I guess we can’t help it since this is an emergency. You are going to be the homeroom teacher for class 1-B over on the girl’s side. Just remember, even though you are about the same age as them, you are still their teacher. DON’T let me catch you doing something you shouldn’t.” The superintendent gave Yu-Loong a cold stare and sat back down in his seat. “Hurry up and go before you get fired,” said the superintendent. “Yes sir!” “Don’t just call me sir. I have a name kid. It’s Satsura Kira.” “I understand si…I mean Satsura-sensei. I’ll go to my class right now.” Yu-Loong left the room after he gave the superintendent a smile. As he walked over to the class that he is suppose to be teaching, he thought to himself, “I wonder who that girl was. Would I be able to see her since I’m going to be teaching as a homeroom teacher over on the girl’s side…wait…I’m going to be teaching over on GIRL’s side of the school? I have a feeling this is going to be bad…ehehe.” He finally arrived in front of the classroom. “Well, I guess this is a start for me.” Just on the other side of the door, the girls was talking about a new teacher coming. As Yu-Loong opens the door, the class suddenly quiet down. “Good morning class. I will be your homeroom teacher starting today.” As he lifts his head, he saw the girl he ran into earlier. “Eh?!” they both yelled. “What are you doing here?” asked the girl surprisingly. “Shouldn’t you be in the other side of the school?” “I just told you and the class didn’t I? I’m going to be your teacher from today on.” Yu-Loong answered her with a smile. He then turn to the class and said, “Well, as I was saying, I will be your homeroom teacher starting today. My name is Fang Yu-Loong. Nice to meet you all.” Just then, the school siren suddenly rang. The next door teacher rushed in and told the class its time for their drill. She also told Yu-Loong to go wait in the teacher’s lounge. He did know what was going on so he just followed her. The students were actually getting ready for battle at the time. The opposing force coming to the school was part of the Dark Suzaku army. Hundreds of winged demons were approaching the school grounds at a fast speed. The sound of a blast rang from the approaching demons as one of them suddenly combust into flames and fell to the ground. The students of the school along with some of the staff members were trying to hold the front line. The battle raged on with both sides exchanging blows. Throughout the battle, Yu-Loong and the other teacher stayed in the sound proved room. Suddenly, he felt the room shook and rushed out the room. The other teacher tried to stop but was suddenly repelled by a strange force. As Yu-Loong was running pass the hallway, he saw a gigantic winged beast carrying a battle axe flying toward him. He was shocked from the sight of that creature and stopped in his track. A large ice spike suddenly fell from the sky and pierced it through its head. Just then, he lost conscious and his subconscious took over his body. His lively black eyes turned dull and lifeless. He lifted his head and started looking around and saw the chemistry lab next to him. He hurried inside and looked for some reagents which might be useful. He found some liquid nitrogen lying around in the safe in the room which seem like it was ripped opened by claws and some left over metals. There he started to work on making something that might be useful. Unknown to his conscious mind, he possessed the power of alchemy and a natural talent for engineering. With these abilities, he created a handful of liquid nitrogen bullet and a semi automatic rifle within the short ten minutes time period. When he woke up from that trance, he was holding the weapon in his hand. There was little he can do and he was used to the fact he usually wake up with some weird concoction in his hand. The battle outside seem to have made a turn for the worse. When Yu-Loong rushed outside, many of the students were being taken to the infirmary. Others were trying their hardest to hold the enemies off. He hurried and ran outside. At that time, he saw the girl he ran into in the morning getting pushed back by one of the beasts. She was trying to cast her spells but could not get any of them to work because she was at her limit. As the beast was about to strike her down, Yu-Loong shot his rifle. “No one hurts my students!” He said it with a cold stare as the bullet penetrated the beast’s shoulder and released the liquid nitrogen within. The beast’s shoulder started to freeze over and soon, the liquid spread to its neck. The frozen parts suddenly cracked and the beast’s arm fell off followed shortly by its head. Yu-Loong suddenly side stepped and launched forward to another beast which was about to dash forward for an attack and fired the rifle at near point blank. The beast let loose a sharp scream and suddenly its head was a frozen block of ice. Yu-Loong quickly turned his rifle around and smashed it into the frozen beast’s head which then shattered into pieces. Just then, another beast came up behind him and slammed its fist into Yu-Loong’s back, shattering four of his rib bones. Yu-Loong fell on the ground with a loud thump. He forced himself to turn around with the last ounce of his strength and saw the beast about to stab its claw into his head. Yu-Loong raised his hand up shielding his face just as the beast launched forth his claw. Everyone was shocked at the sight of the beast killing the new teacher. At that second, Yu-Loong heard a demonic voice in his head. “Do you wish to live on? Are you willing to do anything to stay alive?” “I can’t die right now,” Yu-Loong answered the voice. “Please save me!” “I understand. I can’t let you die either. If you die then I die as well,” the voice answered. “I can’t do much since I am a part of you. In order for me to save the both of us, you will need to grant me the permission to use your body.” “Okay! You may use my body, but whatever you do don’t hurt the people who risked their lives defending this place.” Yu-Loong replied. Just before the sharp claw touched Yu-Loong’s face, he stopped the claw with his left hand. The beast was stunned from what has happened. Yu-Loong suddenly stood up and crushed the beast’s claw with his bare hand and smashed his right fist into the side of the beast’s skull. The other beasts saw what happened to one of their brethrens and got frightened. Just then, a loud shout came from behind the enemy’s line. “What are you doing?! Everyone focus your attack on that man!” It was one of the beasts who were attacking, but this one was different. Unlike the others it was wearing a black armor and carried a silver claymore. His size seems to be larger than those fighting at the frontline of the battle. All the beasts fighting at the frontline stopped what they were doing and started to focus their attack on Yu-Loong. Yu-Loong suddenly raised his head and opened his eyes. They were both bloodshot red. He suddenly raised his fist and opened up his hand showing the claws he had grown. The cold smile exposed a long fang which was not there before. In a blink of an eye, he vanished into thin air and the beasts started to fall to the ground one after another. The battle raged on as the students and the staffs looked in awe of how Yu-Loong was able to destroy the creatures with ease. The beast who told the frontline to attack got scared and retreated himself. After an hour of slaughtering the winged beasts, the battle came to a close. There was a huge pile of beast corpse in front of the school grounds. Everyone looked up as the new teacher stood on top of the corpse pile and let off a roar into the distance. Chapter 2 The Powers of Light and Darkness ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** The beast in the black armor stood before a dark winged figure sitting in front of a giant flame. “Sir, we have failed you. We ran into some unexpected trouble when we commenced our attack on the school. It seems as if a demon has joined them.” “A demon you say,” answered the dark figure. “Who dare stand with the humans in this war?” “I don’t know. He appeared as a human at first, but after being attacked, he engulfed himself in a black aura similar to yours and destroyed the entire army we had sent over.” “Interesting. I never knew a creature that strong is on the side of the humans. You may take your leave.” “Yes sir.” After the beast left the room, the dark figure turned around toward the flame and two other dark figures appeared. ************************************************************************ The battle had subsided. The students and staff members of the school stare at the gory mess with fear. The new teacher stood upon the pile of corpse yelling off to the distance and finally turned around. “You guys are next,” he said with a bloodthirsty look in his bloodshot eyes and jumped off the corpses and dashed across the bloodstained field up to the girl he ran into that morning with his claw raised. Right before the claw touched her, Yu-Loong suddenly yelled out in his head, “STOP!” The teacher stopped in his track and answered in his head, “Why should I?” “Did you forget what you promised? You are allowed to use this body but you may not hurt anyone who is protecting these grounds.” “Heh. I guess you win this round. Even if I don’t like it I guess you are still the host of this body. I shall withdraw this time. Just remember one thing. I am not here to help you through every problem you run into. You may end up dead next time.” “I will remember that,” just as Yu-Loong answered the voice, his body suddenly dropped on the ground like a sack of rocks. When he woke up, he was in the infirmary of the school. The superintendent was sitting next to him along with the girl. “What happened Satsura-sensei?” Yu-Loong asked. “It seems as if you went berserk back there during the fight. Do you remember anything about it?” asked Kira. “I remember hearing a voice. It sounded demonic and after I agreed to what it needs I kind of lost my control over my body,” Yu-Loong replied. “I have another question,” Kira said. “When we were treating your wounds, we noticed that both your arms were wrapped in heavy bandages. Why do you have them on?” “I don’t know. Ever since I was small, my parents told me never to take them off until it is necessary.” “Well, I think now should be the time. It seem like there are some hidden power sealed up within your arms.” “I guess if you said so,” Yu-Loong answered and took off the bandages on both arms. The shape of a black dragon was exposed on his left arm. “I was right. You are the descendent of the Seiryuu clan. The mark on your arms proves it,” Kira said. “It seem like the rumors were true as well. The fact that the Seiryuu clan’s newest generation weren’t twins.” “Huh?” Yu-Loong said with a puzzled voice. “I guess you weren’t told of your past. Well, even if I want to tell you, I can’t. You would have to figure it out yourself.” Kira told Yu-Loong. “Well it looks like you are feeling better. I guess it’s a little late but here is your role book. I even put in each student’s picture so it would be easier for you to identify them.” “Thanks,” Yu-Loong answered. “Oh, by the way, this girl next to me is Suzuka. She is my cousin,” Kira added. “Wait…it’s you!” Yu-Loong answered with a shock. “I was wondering who you were all morning,” he said with a smile after taking in a deep breath. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. Sorry about almost attacking you earlier there.” Suzuka shook her head. “It’s alright. You didn’t mean to. I should be thanking you. You saved my life when I was about to get killed by that demon back there.” “Demon?” Yu-Loong asked surprisingly. “I can’t blame you for not knowing what those creatures are since you were not brought up around them. These creatures are from the Dark Suzaku Clan. They are winged creatures who wield enormous weapons and command the sky. Other than those, there are three other armies. The Dark Seiryuu Army consists of most humanoid type demons such as succubus and oni. The Dark Byakko Army’s troops are beast type demons who control the forest areas. Last but not least, the Dark Genbu Army controls the seas. They are mostly aquatic demons that are able to move shiftily thru the water and control them with their will.” “And Dark Seiryuu was the voice I was talking to in my brain?” asked Yu-Loong, desperately wanting to know the truth. “Apparently so. However, since that creature is in your body and sees your main consciousness as the main host of the body, it is currently not a threat to us here.” Kira answered calmly. “If it is such a strong entity, why has it not taken over my body yet?” asked Yu-Loong frantically. “I apologize. I cannot answer that question until the time comes.” said Kira, regretfully. “I see. Well, I have another question. Why are those demons attacking this school and how were you able to fend them off?” Yu-Loong stated with a puzzled look in his face. “Well, as you can see, this is not a normal school. The truth is most of us here are mages. There are a few who aren’t humans but we accept anyone who is against the Dark Army.” Just as Kira finished his sentence, the bell rang. School was over. “Well, another day over and we weren’t able to let the students have a normal class day again. I guess it can’t be helped. You look like you got your strength back. Let’s head to the teacher’s office for now and I’ll introduce everyone to you.” They started to walk over to the office. As Kira opened the door, every teacher looked up and stared at Yu-Loong. It was as though they have seen a monster. “Well everyone, this is our school’s newest teacher, Fang Yu-Loong,” said Kira. “I guess its time to introduce the staff to you. We will start from the left to the right. First we have Miss Ayako Shusuke, an enchanter, the teacher over in the 1-A class. She is also the PE teacher. Next we have Mizuno Hatori, a Fūjin, the teacher of class 1-C. He is also in charge of the home economic class. There is also the second year and third year teachers but they don’t seem to be here at the moment. The teacher from 1-D is also missing apparently. She is usually in charge of the chemistry lab. A word of warning. Never ever make a mess of the lab. If you do, she will never forgive you. I guess I’ll introduce you to her next time.” Yu-Loong remembered a mess in the chemistry lab when he woke up from his trance. He thought it might have happened when he was creating the weapons in his trance and forced himself to smile. “Since the introduction is done, I would like to ask you which extracurricular class you would wish to teach. Each teacher is in charge of their own homeroom class and a special subject class.” Kira told Yu-Loong. “Well…do you have anyone teaching biology at the moment?” Yu-Loong asked. “No. We couldn’t find any teacher able to teach that class since none of them ever took that class before. Would you like to teach that?” Kira asked. “Sure, why not. I should be fine teaching that class,” Yu-Loong answered. “Do you have a place to live Yu-Loong?” questioned Kira. “Um…well I was too excited when I found this job I forgot to look up a place to live here.” “I guess we can’t help it. Since you did just save the school from being destroyed and our students from being massacred, I’ll offer you shelter for now. We better hurry before the night beasts come out.” “Night beasts?” “Yes. They are a part of the Dark Byakko’s army. They lurk in the shadows and only come out at night.” “If that’s the case then we should hurry up and leave.” They turned around and saw that the sun has almost completely set. “This is bad. If we leave now we will surely be attacked. We better be prepared for the worst. Yu-Loong, can you make more of those freeze bullets? If we really run into those creatures, we wouldn’t be able to protect you.” “I guess but I don’t recall how to make them. I would have to force that power out if I was to make something. Can you direct me to the nearest science lab?” “Sure, follow me.” Kira lead Yu-Loong to the chemistry lab which was in a huge mess. *What should I do* Yu-Loong thinks to himself. Just then, the voice of Dark Seiryuu started to echo throughout his head again. *What are you doing this time?* demanded Dark Seiryuu. *Well…I don’t know what I should do now. I don’t have the knowledge to make weapons like the freeze bullets. It’s impossible scientifically speaking. I can only make normal weapons and I doubt it will work against those demons.* answered Yu-Loong. Dark Seiryuu let out a great laugh in Yu-Loong’s head and said, “Well, if that’s the case, why don’t I give you a helping hand.” With that said, Dark Seiryuu let out a devastating screech in Yu-Loong’s head and knocked him out. With this done, Yu-Loong fell back into the trance and began to work on one of the lab station. The godlike speed Yu-Loong exhibited was unheard of. The movements created an illusion of him having no hands at all. It was all a blur. When Yu-Loong regained his consciousness, everyone noticed a small metallic armband on the table. “Is that enough to defeat creatures twice your size?” asked Kira. “I’m not sure what this thing is but it should have something special hidden in it.” “Well, we can’t wait much longer. We have to go.” “Got it,” Yu-Loong replied and they all tried to hurry out the school. “I hope everyone will have a safe journey home. We will see everyone tomorrow at school,” said Kira and everyone went their way home. On the way home, Yu-Loong put on the armband that he just created. Right at that moment, a large shadow jumped out of the bush and landed in front of the three of them. Kira quickly pulled out his saber and stabbed it right into the creature’s neck. It was one of the Night Beasts that Kira just mentioned earlier. More of the beasts came out of the bushes and trees and soon they were surrounded. The beasts jumped up and launched themselves at the three. One of them suddenly bit down on Yu-Loong’s arm. Its fang did not penetrate his arm due to a weird force field created by his armband. “Looks like you created something interesting again. I still can’t believe you create those items without even knowing about it,” Kira said surprisingly. “I don’t know how it works. It just suddenly appeared. I just hope there is a weapon hidden in this thing as well.” Just as he said that, a beam saber shot out of the wrist band. “Well, you got your wish there,” Kira chuckled. “Since you can fight now, I am going to let you fend off those attacking you alone. I have to keep an eye on Suzuka.” “Why? Couldn’t she fight these beasts alone with ease?” asked Yu-Loong. He turned over to Suzuka and saw her on the ground holding her head mumbling, “We are going to die.” Yu-Loong was shocked at how Suzuka is behaving after she fought those winged demons earlier. * should ask Kira why Suzuka is like that, but right now is not the time,* he thought to himself. After fighting off all the beasts, they finally made it back to Kira and Suzuka’s home. To Yu-Loong’s shock, their home was a mansion. ************************************************************************ One of the Night Beasts stood before a giant figure who appeared to be human. “So you fought against the human whom Dark Lord Suzaku mentioned? And he was able to destroy you guys without using his dark power?” “Yes,” answered the Night Beast. “He had a strange weapon on. It generated a light shield which is able to change into a blade-like object.” “Could it be…” said the figure with a shock. “Well, this is going to be interesting. You may leave.” “Yes sir,” the Night Beast replied and left the room. “So what Suzaku said was true. Hehe… We finally found you, Dark Lord Seiryuu,” the dark figure said and started to laugh maniacally. Chapter 3 Beginning of the New School Life ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** The sun rose over the land. It is the beginning of a new day. The yard of the enormous mansion in the middle of the forest was quiet. There was no one around except for Yu-Loong meditating in the middle of the grass plain. He suddenly opened his eyes and slashed a dried leaf in half with a dull knife without shattering it. Suzuka stepped onto the grass field and walked toward Yu-Loong. “That was amazing. Do you do this every morning?” asks Suzuka. “Yea. I figured since I’m here, I shouldn’t skip out on my daily training. Especially with all those demons around.” answered Yu-Loong. “I’m sorry…” said Suzuka quietly. “There’s no need to apologize there Suzuka. It’s not like it’s your fault I got dragged into this weird predicament.” Yu-Loong said with a smile. Suzuka let out a little smile. “You know…you should smile more. You look a lot cuter with a smile than with that serious and empty look of yours.” said Yu-Loong while taking a close-up look at Suzuka’s face. Suzuka panicked and fell backward. Just then, she noticed that Yu-Loong was almost fully drenched in sweat and the blade he was holding looked like a rusted piece of scrap metal. “Even if you try acting lively around other people, you can’t fool me.” Yu-Loong stated as he bends down. “Are you alright?” he asked. Suzuka blushed and lowered her head. “Please don’t get too close to me. I beg of you.” Yu-Loong looked at the situation and decided to pull back all the questions and the frustration s that comment gave him. He forced a kind smile out of himself and said, “Okay. I’m sorry if I’ve done something I shouldn’t have.” Suzuka felt the uneasiness between her and Yu-Loong and replied in a low tone, “I’m sorry” as Yu-Loong walked away. Kira was inside the mansion looking at the incident that just took placed. He took a sip at the coffee and said to himself, “So she haven’t gotten over the mental scar she received back then.” ************************************************************************ On the way to school, Suzuka and Yu-Loong was walking together in front of Kira while talking and laughing. Kira was in the back smiling. *I really hope this atmosphere will last forever. However, it is impossible when the Dark Army finds out both Yu-Loong and Suzaku’s true identities.* Kira thought as he started to frown. Upon arriving at school, Kira and Yu-Loong went to the teacher’s office as Suzuka heads off to the classroom. “So what do you think of my little Suzuka?” Kira suddenly asked. “Huh?” Yu-Loong replied with a shocked look on his face. “Well…if I said I wasn’t interested in her, I would be lying. I felt like she was trying to isolate herself from others but at the same time, trying hard not to let others notice it.” “Heh. You are actually able to see thru her that far without any of my help huh? Well, I would tell you about her past but it would better if you hear the story from her. I don’t want to bring up anything unnecessary and offend her. We will leave it at this for today. You must’ve had a tough morning.” *Of course I had a tough morning.* Yu-Loong thought as he forced himself to laugh. *It’s the first time I see someone blew up breakfast while trying to make it. I wonder how they were able to survive out here for this long in the first place…* Just then, the school bell rang. “Well, it’s time for class Yu-Loong. I hope you will do a good job.” said Kira with a smile. He suddenly put on a serious look and said, “Just let me warn you. This is not a normal school. You are dealing with magic users and mythical creatures that possess special abilities. Here’s a little ward I made myself. You should keep this on yourself at all times if you don’t want the girls to play a prank on you.” Kira said as he placed a little cotton pouch on Yu-Loong’s hand. “The last teacher here was teased so badly he left six hours after he started his job.” *I knew this job was too good to be true* Yu-Loong thought as Kira walked away. ************************************************************************ *This is going to be alright. The superintendent must be just teasing me.* Yu-Loong thought to himself as he stood in front of the classroom. *The girls don’t look like a bad bunch from what I saw yesterday. I don’t think anything is going to happen today.* Just as he opened the door, an ice kunai shot past in front of his face, nearly touching his nose. Yu-Loong stood there, shocked at what had just happened. Suddenly, one of the students stood up and said, “So you are the new teacher from yesterday. Sorry about that. I’m not used to your aura yet.” She then sat back down with an unsatisfied look in her face and let out a deep sigh. The girl wore a snow white kimono. Her skin almost as white as pure snow, her eyes shined like a star in the clear night, her hair was all the way down to her knees. It was as white and thin as beautiful white silk thread. *So she really was trying to kill me there* thought Yu-Loong. *What had I gotten myself into this time.* Yu long took a look around the classroom and noticed that the other girls were just doing their own things. The classroom was in a complete disorder. *I wonder why the class was so quiet yesterday* Yu-Loong thought to himself. “Well, it’s because everyone thought that it would still be the superintendent teaching this class yesterday.” said the girl who just stepped into the classroom behind Yu-Loong. She had long black shining hair that extended down to her mid-back. Her skin was so pale it almost looks as if it was pure white. She was wearing the school’s regulated winter despite the fact that it was around summer times. “If you were wondering, I’m a telepath.” said the girl with a smile. *Guess I can’t underestimate anyone in this school* Yu-Loong thought to himself while letting out a sigh. Just then another ice kunai flew past the back of his head. “Sorry. My hand just slipped there,” said the girl who threw the first kunai. In the back of Yu-Loong’s head, Dark Seiryuu saw the entire incident. *It can’t be her…can it?* he thought to himself. Yu-Loong started to do role call. There were a lot of students in the class room, thirty-three to be exact. The list included Suzuka, Shiroyuki Sayuri (the girl who threw the ice kunais at Yu-Loong), and Himegami Aozora (the telepath). ************************************************************************ The class went through without a hitch after the role call for the day. It is now lunch time. Kira met up with Yu-Loong and Suzuka. “So how’s your first day of actually teaching?” asked Kira as he laughed. Yu-Loong, with an exhausted face, said, “It’s barely the first day of class and I already have trouble with two of the girls.” “Heh…so who are these two girls?” asked Kira with a smirk on his face. “Well…one of them is named Aozora but she’s just being annoying by answering all my questions before I asked any.” “That’s how she is. The last teacher quit because he couldn’t stand that part of her,” said Kira. “The other one is Sayuri,” said Yu-Loong. Kira suddenly got a serious look on his face and said, “It’s better if you stay away from her. Something happened between your alter ego and her in your past life. That’s all I can say about the matter.” Yu-Loong suddenly gave a surprised look on his face. He then lean forward and let his hair cover his face, brushed it back and let out a sigh. Then he smiled and said, “Well, I guess I will just have to think of someway of fixing that problem then.” Suzuka and Kira both looked at Yu-Loong with an awe look in their face then let out a laugh. “Well, with the skills you exhibited this morning,” said Suzuka, “I don’t think it’s impossible.” “Haha yea,” said Kira. “The two of them should be the least of your problems for now.” He then suddenly gets serious and said, “The girls in your class are, more or less, a special bunch. If you can, I would appreciate it if you are able to help them solve their personal problems. I had tried hard to help them in the past but for some reason, they did not even try to talk over their issues with me.” The bell rang. “Yosha. Let’s head back to class then,” said Suzuka. ************************************************************************ When Yu-Loong opened the door to the classroom, five ice shuriken shot past in front of him. “Oops, sorry my hand slipped,” said Sayuri in her indifference tone of voice. Yu-Loong let out a sigh and said in a serious expression, “I understand that you have some sort of grudge against me, but could you at least tune it down while we are in class?” He let out an enormous of killing aura as he said this. The entire class was in shock as the pressure felt like it was crushing them. He suddenly realized he accidentally released his true self and suddenly swallowed up his entire aura. “Well then, why don’t we talk about it in the teacher’s office after class is finished,” Yu-Loong said with a smile. The entire class was stunned at what just happened. Everyone’s wondering how the new teacher who acts like he doesn’t have any sort of temper could suddenly display such a high level of killing aura. The ruckus soon died out after they all saw the teacher went back to how he usually acts. Everyone just thought it must’ve been some sort of mistake or some sort of fluke for the teacher to suddenly release such a heavy aura. ************************************************************************ Class went on longer than usual since it is the day where Yu-Loong had to teach the biology class. It is now a quarter past four. The sun still hangs high in the sky. Sayuri stood in front of the teacher’s lounge wondering if she should go in or not. She wasn’t afraid of the new teacher; instead, she was afraid of the superintendent. As she slowly opened the door, she saw no one in the office except for the new teacher. “You’re finally here,” said Yu-Loong with his usual kind looking smile on his face. “Come in. Don’t stand there all day.” “So what do you want with me,” said Sayuri in a rebellious tone. “When the sun goes down, it is going to be a real hassle even if it is just getting back to the dorms.” “This wouldn’t take long. I only wanted to ask you why you are trying to kill me. It’s barely the first day of class and you had already tried to kill me with two kunai and five shuriken.” “Like I’ll ever tell you,” muttered Sayuri in a disrespectful tone of voice. “Well then, why don’t we settle the issue like this. You pick any sort of challenge and if I win, you have to tell me why you are aiming for my life. If I lose, then do whatever you like to me,” said Yu-Loong calmly. “Well then, I propose we have a duel then. You can choose any weapons and tools you want. I will only be using my ice magic and weapons,” stated Sayuri in an arrogant tone. *Are you sure this is such a good idea?* asked Dark Seiryuu in the back of Yu-Loong’s head. *She might be more than what you can handle.* *It’s alright. I should be able to handle her by myself,* replied Yu-Loong to Dark Seiryuu. *Okay, but just a warning. If you are about to lose, I will interfere with your battle by taking over your body. Remember, if you die, I die too.* “I will only be using a wooden staff. It is all I need,” stated Yu-Loong. He picked up two wooden short staff he had in his bag and attached them back into a whole staff. They both went outside to the schoolyard. The hot wind was blowing fiercely. It picked up a huge wave of dust. Sayuri walked over to one side of the school yard as Yu-Loong walked over to the other side. Both having their backs turned toward their opponent. “Let our duel begin!” demanded Sayuri. The two turned around and started dashing toward each other at full speed. Chapter 4 Melting the Heart of Ice ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** The two fighters started to charge toward each other at full speed. Sayuri started to condense the vapor in the air around her into water droplets. She then formed them into shapes of shuriken and shot them out at Yu-Loong. Yu-Loong suddenly stopped in his track and launched himself to his right. The shuriken missed him by a hair. Yu-Loong suddenly began to launch himself forward and swung his staff at Sayuri. She jumped backward to avoid the staff and recovered her balance with a back flip. “I will finish this fight now,” demanded Sayuri. She suddenly pulled out two more kunai and launched forward at Yu-Loong. With the kunai on her right hand raised and the kunai on her left hand off to her left side, she slashed the weapon in a cross pattern. Yu-Loong deflected the two weapons by striking the center of the blades with the tip of his staff. The two suddenly stopped. The blade of Sayuri’s two ice kunai shattered due to the immense shock impact given by Yu-Loong’s counterattack. Sayuri suddenly turned around and conjured up two more ice kunai along with five others behind her floating in midair forming a shape of a pentagon. “Hyousakura! (氷櫻Ice Sakura)” Sayuri yelled as the student and the teacher crossed each other’s path again. She started to stab at Yu-Loong repetitively while the five kunai behind her swung fiercely along with the attack. With the onslaught of attacks, Yu-Loong had no other way other than to defend himself. He started to spin his staff at a very high speed deflecting every attack thrown out by Sayuri. “Why are you not attacking back? With the killing aura you displayed earlier in class, you should be able to force back my attack whenever you like,” said Sayuri angrily. “If you wanted me to release that much killing aura,” said Yu-Loong, “we are going to attract the entire school’s attention along with everyone in the dormitory.” Sayuri suddenly stopped her attack. “You aren’t going at me at full force, sensei,” she said in a dissatisfied tone. “Do you think you are going to win against me like that?” “From what I’m seeing, you aren’t using your full force as well,” said Yu-Loong with his usual smile on his face. With all the fast pace movement he was exhibiting, he haven’t even start to sweat. Sayuri got angered due to the situation and started to say in a low tone, “Well, if you wish to dig you own grave…” Her tone changed and she yelled, “I will now bury you six feet under!” She suddenly conjured up two nine ring broadswords with an engraving of a dragon on each blade. “Shiroyuki Enbu. Ryu no Ga! (白雪演舞、竜の牙Dance of the White Snow. Fangs of the Dragon!) If you think you can win against me like that, you are mistaking.” A sudden burst of demonic aura overwhelmed the school yard. Kira and Suzuka were both sitting in the superintendent office. “I hope he can handle this issue quickly before anyone notice,” said the worried Suzuka. “I agree,” said Kira. “If someone else notices this, it is going to be problematic for everyone.” “Sone no Mai, Shirohana.” (初の舞 、白花First dance, White Flower.) Sayuri launched forward after muttering the phrase. She started to spin while slashing the blades wildly in front of her. The path which her attack shot over was covered in snow. Yu-Loong nearly dodged the attack. The sleeve of his shirt was frozen solid just from touching the air around the attack. “You better start attacking more seriously sensei, or else you are really going to die!” yelled Sayuri. Yu-Loong quickly recovered and turned around toward Sayuri. He saw her coming back around for another attack at him. With one quick side step, Yu-Loong evaded the full attack and got into Sayuri’s blind spot. He realized that the attack does not protect the user’s back, but he was too slow to attack at that point. Sayuri suddenly stopped. “I guess you saw my one weak point,” she said with a smirk in her face. “I guess you aren’t as weak as you look in class, and avoiding those little blades I threw at you wasn’t a fluke either.” “I am pleased that you praised me,” said Yu-Loong with a smile. His body was starting to break down from the extensive movement. His reflexes were still fast but his body stamina was starting to give out. “We have been going at it for about ten minutes now, and to tell you the truth, I doubt I can hang on much longer.” “Agreed. Let’s finish this match with our most powerful attack,” said Sayuri with a smirk in her face. She then started to chant in an unknown language. Yu-Loong figured that the chant is most likely not something he should be looking forward to. He quickly launched forward and stuck out his index and middle fingers together from his fists. “Zhuque zi yui (朱雀之羽 Feather of the Phoenix). Pressure point strike!” With that said, Yu-Loong started hitting every paralyzing pressure point in Sayuri’s body with great speed and precision. “Fong In !(封印 Seal)” yelled Yu-Loong. Sayuri’s body is now paralyzed but she was still chanting. “That’s impossible! I sealed all your voluntary muscles with my pressure point attack!” said Yu-Loong with a shocked expression. “Your time is up,” stated Sayuri with her usual indifference voice. “Shiroyuki Enbu. Sennen Fubuki! (白雪演舞、千年吹雪 Dance of the White Snow. Thousand Years Blizzard.)” Sayuri’s body started to move on its own again despite the muscles being completely paralyzed. She threw the two nine ring broadswords toward the sky. The clouds suddenly turned darker and darker. The hot summer wind turned into a freezing gust. Sayuri started to swing her hands around. With each swing, the cold gust blows in a different direction. Sayuri suddenly stopped. The school grounds became so cold there was a layer of thick mist building up from their foot. *This is bad! Yu! Let me take over now!* demanded Dark Seiryuu. Sayuri raised both the arms into the air. An enormous ball of snow appeared above her head after it collected all the thick mist that appeared. She then brought the snowball down on top of Yu-Loong. The entire schoolyard is now covered in about four feet of snow with Yu-Loong buried beneath it all. “Well, I said I was going to put you six feet under but I guess four feet is just as good.” “You should’ve buried me deeper than,” a voice suddenly arises from the snow. “But then again, you would need to bury me in about a hundred feet of snow if you want to kill me.” The snow around Yu-Loong melted due to the extreme heat his body gives off as he suddenly rises up from the thick blanket of snow. His body transformed back into the demonic looking entity. This time, however, his semi short black hair became dark red, long and messy. His eyes are now bloodshot and his nails took on a more claw-like appearance. “I haven’t seen you in almost a hundred years and this is how you greet me?” he said as his smile shows off his long fang. Sayuri was suddenly staring at Yu-Loong with awe. Tears started to swell up in her eyes as she jumped forward and hugged him. “Seiryuu-sama! It’s been too long since we last met!” said the crying Sayuri. “I thought I told you to stop calling me Seiryuu. I don’t like to be called the same name as the one person I hate the most in this world,” stated Dark Seiryuu. “Just call me Ryuga like old times.” “Yes…Ryuga-sama…” muttered Sayuri feeling embarrassed. “Why did you suddenly appeared like that Ryuga-sama?” asked the curious Sayuri. “Didn’t Fang-sensei seal you within his body?” “That guy didn’t seal me up in his body, Sayuri-chan,” replied Dark Seiryuu. Sayuri’s face suddenly turned as red as an apple after hearing how Dark Seiryuu called him. “To tell you the truth,” he continued, “I was somehow reborn into this body along with another soul and, for some reason, that soul is the dominant soul of the body. I tried to take over the body ever since I awoke from my slumber ten years ago but never succeeded. It felt like there was some special force suppressing me.” “I have one more question for you then, Ryuga-sama. Why did you abandoned me during the las…” Sayuri was interrupted when Dark Seiryuu suddenly twitched and fell forward onto the grown. “Ryuga-sama! Are you okay?!” asked Sayuri frantically. “Yea I’m okay, but it seem like he is waking up. I can’t maintain my control over this body anymore. I will give you my answer when this guy gets knocked out cold again because I know you don’t want anyone else to know about your past, am I right?” “I understand, Ryuga-sama,” replied the sad Sayuri. “One more thing before I go Sayuri-chan. Please don’t try to kill that guy anymore. If he dies, I die too. Well, I have to go now…till we meet again.” With that said, Dark Seiryuu fainted. The body started to turn back into how it once looked. The hair started to retract back into the semi short style it was in. the color of his eyes and hair returned to what it once was. The fangs and claws shrunk back to normal teeth and nails. Sayuri wiped off her tears as Yu-Loong started to wake up. “What happened…” said the semiconscious teacher. “My head is throbbing. I only remember seeing a gigantic snowball being hurled toward me and then…nothing. What happened to all the snow that was here as well…” “I cleaned up all the mess I’ve caused sensei,” said Sayuri in her indifference tone. “That’s a snow girl for you,” said Yu-Loong forcing a laugh out of himself. “You figured out what race I’m in already?” asked Sayuri surprisingly. “I thought Superintendent Satsura only told you that class 1-B is a class filled with casters only.” “Even an ice mage have their limits right? I already had a feeling that you’re not a normal human being when you shot out those shuriken and kunai without any sort of chants,” replied Yu-Loong calmly. Sayuri stared at Yu-Loong for a bit and then turned away and said, “I won’t keep my promise on telling you why I’m after your life. Instead, I will stop going after your life.” Yu-Loong looked shock. He then stand up and said with his usual smile, “Well, I wouldn’t want you to tell me what you don’t want to tell me anyway. Well, at least no one noticed our little battle out here on school grounds.” “I have a feeling Superintendent Satsura knows about our little conflict,” said Sayuri with a troubled look. “Why are you worried Sayuri-kun?” asked Yu-Loong, puzzled at the situation. “Well…last time…I got into a little fight with one of the students and he made me clean the entire girl’s dorm with a toothbrush and I couldn’t use any magic,” said the scared Sayuri. “Who did you pick a fight with back then?” asked Yu-Loong curiously. “A girl in the class name Suzuka I think.” “…I see…” replied Yu-Loong while trying to force a smile out of himself. *That guy must have a cousin complex or something* Yu-Loong thought in the back of his head. Sayuri let out a sigh and turn toward Yu-Loong. She then said, “The sun is going to set soon. We should head back to our own place.” Yu-Loong agreed with each other and they both went back into the school to pack up their things before going back to their place. ************************************************************************ “So what do you think Kira-nii?” asked Suzuka who was still in the superintendent office with Kira. “The new teacher sure has a lot of potentials, and it seems like Dark Seiryuu isn’t as bad of a person as we thought he was,” replied Kira. “Well, let’s go meet up with Yu-Loong and head back home, shall we?” “Sure, Kira-nii.” |

I've read chapter one, and enjoyed it immensely. The premise itself is not extraordinarily original from what I can see, but that doesn't mean it's a bad one. Besides, it's presented in a perfect way. I wish I could identify precisely why it is perfect, but all I know is that it is.
I will reserve additional judgements for after I read the other three episodes. The only thing that disappoints me about episode one is that the other students already know that Yu-Loong is special. I would have enjoyed it more if Yu-Loong's power had remained a secret, and the students think that they're the ones keeping secrets from him, instead of the other way around. |

Therefore, the students thought it wasn't his own power. Just some immense spiritual outburst caused by the surrounding demonic aura that caused weak humans to go berserk and then collapse due to the strain put on the body. |

Chapter 5
Omen ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** “Why do I have to do this?” ask Sayuri as she takes a deep sigh. “If it wasn’t for you trying to kill me all day yesterday, we would’ve be taking a break right now,” replied the angered Yu-Loong. “Oh really! So you are saying it’s all my fault, huh!” yelled the furious Sayuri. “Is that how you’re supposed to talk to your teacher!?” Yu-Loong yelled back at Sayuri. The two started to bicker with each other. Kira suddenly came into the room. “Stop yelling! I still have a ton of file work I have to finish before today!” he yelled at the two. The two faced their back toward each other, let out a sigh, and continued cleaning. “I don’t really care about the fight you two had since no one other than me found out about it but you destroyed my bonsai garden,” said Kira with a threatening facial expression. “Ye…yes sir!” answered Sayuri and Yu-Loong, terrified. Kira then left the two alone and went back to his office. “This is all your fault, sensei. Now my kimono is going to get ruined,” said Sayuri, unhappily. “Alright, I’ll take the blame this time. I don’t want to see Kira walking in here looking like that again,” said Yu-Loong with a sigh. “Shall we call it truce for today?” “Sure. It’s a weekend as well. Let’s call it truce for now and finish this,” replied the unwilling snow girl. ************************************************************************ It was a hot day at Magister Koukouen. Despite being located in the middle of a cool forest, the school ground was as hot as the Sahara Dessert. As the two walked outside, Yu-Loong suddenly asked, “Do you not feel hot wearing that think kimono of yours?” “Not at all,” answered Sayuri in her indifferent tone. “The fabric on this kimono is made from a special kind of frost wyvern. The kimono is actually keeping my body temperature under negative thirty degree Celsius.” Yu-Loong was in awe that such a substance existed. As a biologist, he wants to find out what special material these wyvern creatures make and how they make it. “I wonder if I can catch one and dissect it,” murmured Yu-Loong curiously. Yu-Loong suddenly felt a deep chill building up behind up. Sayuri heard what he had just said. “If you dare approach my frost wyverns, I will put you in deep freeze for eternity,” said Sayuri coldly as she starts building up a blizzard behind her. Yu-Loong was about to pull out his staff when he remembered what Superintendent Kira had just put the two of them through. “We shouldn’t continue this. If Kira finds out about this we might be in big trouble again,” said Yu-Loong frantically. Sayuri remembered how frightening Kira was when he found out about the fight as well. She suddenly stopped her casting and said, “I’ll let you off this time I guess. But next time, you are not going to be as fortunate.” *I really can’t stand this girl,* Yu-Loong thought to himself as he forced out a smile. “Hey! You two finally finished with the cleaning?!” yelled a girl who was approaching them. It was the superintendent’s cousin, Suzuka. “Kira-nii told me to show you around the entire school today since you haven’t had the chance to with all these commotion.” “I guess you are right...Well, lead the way then Suzuka,” replied Yu-Loong with a smile. “Are you going to come along, Sayuri?” “I have to deal with all the homework you assigned for the class so I’ll pass on that,” said Sayuri. “Then I guess I’ll see you in class on Sunday then,” said Yu-Loong. The two rivals went their separate ways afterward. ************************************************************************ “I guess I’ll start with the overall school building for now,” said Suzuka as they approached the main school building. “As you already know, the school is split into a girl’s and boy’s side. Apparently, the cause of this split was due to the commotion caused two years ago when a mage-warrior fight suddenly broke out in the classroom because of a girl in their classroom. They practically blew up half the school,” she said with a smile as if the problem was nothing. “I see…” said Yu-Loong calmly. *I wonder why she acts like this. She pushes me away when I get too close to her but acts as if she wants people around her to get closer to her,* he thought to himself as he started to stare at her. “Uhh… Yu-sama? Is there something on my face?” asked Suzaku with a puzzled look on her. “Huh? Ohh…uhh…no. there’s nothing on your face. Sorry, I was just thinking about something. Don’t pay attention to what I did,” said Yu-Loong frantically as he turned the other way and walked away. “And also, what’s with that Yu-sama thing? It feels weird being called that.” “Really?” asked Suzuka surprisingly. “Come to think of it, this is the first time I ever get this close to someone other than Kira-nii.” She suddenly froze up just as she finished her sentence. She looked like she went into a stage of shock and fell to the ground trembling. “Suzuka-kun?” Yu-Loong turned around and saw Suzuka trying to hold herself together as she trembled in fear. “Suzuka-kun! Get a hold of yourself!” he yelled as he rushed over to her. *This is bad,* he thought to himself. *If this keeps up, she’s going to break down mentally. Kira should know what to do right now. He should be in his office.* Yu-Loong quickly picked up Suzuka on his back and rushed toward the staff office building. The outside of the building was made of reinforced glass and steel beams which were arranged in a grid pattern. *If I climb up the stairs up to the top floor, it’s going to be too late for her,* Yu-Loong thought to himself. *The fastest way up is a quick dash up the side of the building.* The window into Kira’s office was fortunately open. *Well, here goes nothing,* he thought to himself. Yu-Loong suddenly bends all the way down to the point where he was almost kneeling on the ground and launched himself upward with a great force. *Hope this works!* he thought to himself as he started to fall. He looked at where the closest steel beam to him was and aimed his foot at it. With a strong stomp, he launched himself further upward while carrying the mentally unstable Suzuka. The opened window appeared closer and closer to Yu-Loong with each step. With one last strong stomp, he launched himself forward toward Kira’s room. Just as he was about to crashed into the room, he quickly turned Suzuka around to his front and covered her body with his. The two went crashing into Kira’s office. Kira suddenly stood up. “You broke another one of my bonsai,” said Kira with his usual dark and threatening face. “This is no time to worry about your damn bonsai, Kira!” yelled Yu-Loong. “Your little cousin here is breaking down mentally!” Kira saw what happened to Suzuka and ordered Yu-Loong to bring her over to the sofa. He then started to chant in an unknown language as he drew a pentagram on Suzuka’s forehead with some type of green paint. As his chant ended, a sudden intense black light lit up from the pentagram. The entire room was now filled with an ominous miasma. “Pick her up and bring her outside. I’m completely out of strength now that I used ‘it,’” Kira said to Yu-Loong while trying to recover from his tiredness. ************************************************************************ The superintendent’s office had been sealed up. The thick poisonous air in the room was being purified as the two sat outside looking at the sleeping Suzuka. “Are you still going to leave me in the dark, Kira?” asked Yu-Loong with a cold stare at Kira. “I wish to tell you all the details too, but I’m bounded by oath not to tell you everything. If you two are destined to be together, you will find out about what Suzuka and her past soon enough. When that time comes, I’ll reveal to you everything you need to know,” replied Kira with a deep sigh. “I see,” replied Yu-Loong coldly. “There is one thing I would like you to promise me, however,” said Kira as his killing aura started to leak out of him. “If you lay a finger on Suzuka before I agree, I will hunt you down no matter what or where you are,” he said with an aura almost as heavy as the miasma created in the room. Yu-Loong forced back Kira’s aura his own. He then stood up and said in a low voice, “I understand, Superintendent Satsura.” The tension between the two died down slowly when Yu-Loong started to walk toward the door. “I appologise for all these problems you are being put through, Yu-Loong-san. If you ever need anything, just come to me,” said Kira as he returned to his usual calm self. “Yu-san,” said Yu-Loong all of a sudden. “Huh?” replied Kira, confused. “My name. From now on, just call me Yu-san. I will be in your care from this day forward,” said Yu-Loong as he returned back to his cheerful self. “If you have any problems from now on, don’t hesitate to ask me for help, even if you have a cousin complex,” Yu-Loong continued with a sly smile. “I do not have a cousin complex!” replied Kira furiously. The tension between the two suddenly rose again and suddenly disappeared with a burst of laughter. “I’ll head back to my room for now since I left something there,” said Yu-Loong as he waved goodbye to Kira. *I hope he is able to get back to the house without getting into trouble,* Kira thought to himself. “It’s still bright out so he shouldn’t get into too much problem I guess,” Kira said to himself as he leaned back on the chair he was sitting on and relaxed. ************************************************************************ “Well, since Suzuka wasn’t able to take me around campus for a tour, I guess I should ask Sayuri,” said Yu-Loong to himself. Just as he finished his sentence, he heard a bell ringing sound coming from behind him. “That’s not a good idea,” someone said behind Yu-Loong. Yu-Loong suddenly turned around. “Who’s there,” said Yu-Loong calmly as he turned around. There was no one there. “Down here,” said the person. It was Rahx Felheart, one of Yu-Loong’s students. She is one of the shortest people in class. Standing at a height of about three foot six, her appearance was no different from that of a twelve years old kid. Her eyes were as dark as the moonless night. There was no glimmer in her eyes at all. Her light skin contrasted with the shade of her eyes and the black cloak she wore over her white fluttery dress. The color of her long beautiful hair has a pure silvery color that shines under the sunlight. Her ears were different from the normal humans due to the fact that they looked more triangular shaped. An aura of emptiness fills the air as she walked closer to Yu-Loong. “If you go to the girl’s dorm, I cannot guarantee that you will return safely,” said the little girl currently standing in front of Yu-Loong. Chapter 6 Tough Break ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** In this chapter, I linked Aurum and Argentum's dialogue together since they kinda have a linked personality. Aurum is going to be the one who starts the sentence everytime and Argentum will finish it. I put a little "/" in the dialogue to separate what they each said. An eerie cold wind started to pick up in the warm summer school ground as Yu-Loong stared at Rahx. “What do you mean by ‘cannot guarantee that I will return safely’? I’m only heading over to the girl’s dorm. It’s not like I’m going into the forest at night,” Yu-Loong said calmly while trying not to get overwhelmed by the empty feeling. “Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you, sensei,” said the little Rahx Felheart in a cold voice as she vanished with a flash of blinding bright light. Yu-Loong was blinded for a while since he did not expect that to happen. *I thought succubi were supposed to be dark creatures. Why did that girl disappear with a flash of light instead of melding into the shadows?* Yu-Loong thought to himself in confusion. With all the commotion lately, Yu-Loong decided to remember which species each one of his students is. He then brushed off the warning and walked toward the girl’s dorm. ************************************************************************ As Yu-Loong approached the girl’s dorm, he spotted a sign nailed on a large tree. On the sign, it says *No boys allowed*. “I doubt it applies to me since I’m a teacher here. And also, Kira never did warn me about the girl’s dorm.” ************************************************************************ On the other side of campus, Kira was taking a little break from cleansing the miasma from Suzuka’s body. *Oh no!* he suddenly thought to himself. *I forgot to tell Yu-san to stay away from the girl’s dorm. They wouldn’t even let me in, and I’m supposed to be the school’s superintendent. Well, I don’t think it’s a problem. He’s probably back at the house taking a rest by now.* Kira then brushed off this worry and continued watering his precious bonsais. ************************************************************************ “Where am I now?” muttered Yu-Loong to himself. “Why is there a forest here between the school and the girl’s dorm?!” he suddenly yelled. As he was approaching the girl’s dorm after seeing the sign, he accidentally stepped on a trap set up by someone at the girl’s dorm. Arrows hidden in the thick leaves of the trees shot out from above at Yu-Loong. In order to avoid it, he jumped off to his right. Just as he did so, he landed in wet soil and slid down the side of the hill. When he got up and regained his balance, he was somewhere deep in the forest, lost. “Gee… I should’ve listened to Rahx if this was the case,” he said to himself, unpleased. “I guess I’ll just try and see if there’s anyone around here.” As Yu-Loong started to walk around, he noticed that he keeps going back to the place where he started out. *There must be something going on with this forest,* he thought to himself. *For some reason, I feel like there’s something following me as well. Since it is only around three in the afternoon right now, it shouldn’t be too bad.* Yu-Loong was correct. Right behind him was a shadow which was following him up in the branches. The shadow started to move in closer and closer to Yu-Loong as he kept walking. The demonic aura, even though it was very faint, finally attracted Yu-Loong’s attention. “I don’t know who’s behind me, but, please show yourselves. You did a great job concealing yourselves and if you are not someone hostile, please show yourselves and explain why you are following me,” he turned around and said with his usual smile. He was ready to pull out his weapon when the shadow in the tree jumped out and landed about three meters in front of Yu-Loong. It was the twin vampires in Yu-Loong’s class, Aurum and Argentum Geminus. Even though they are twins, most of their appearance features are contrasts. Their skins were both pale, though not as pale as Sayuri’s. Just as their names suggested, Aurum has blonde hair which shines like golden silk threads while Argentum’s hair shines in a silvery color. Their eye colors were also in contrast of each other. Aurum had red eyes while Argentum had blue eyes. They usually dress in contrasting colors. Aurum likes the color black while Argentum likes the color white. They stand at around three foot three, the same height as Rahx. The three of them usually dresses similarly since they always wear the same patterned dress and cloak look. “Who goes there?” asked Aurum in an indifferent voice. “Who are you?” asked Argentum after a short pause. “It’s me, Fang-sensei,” replied Yu-Loong with one hand behind his head while bowing a little. “What are you two doing out here?” he asked. “We work as security / at the girl’s dorm,” the two said. They sounded like they were both in sync with each other’s thoughts. “Could you please help me get to the girl’s dorm then, please?” asked Yu-Loong kindly. “Sure thing / please follow us,” the two said as if they were one entity again. This scared Yu-Loong out a little since the two had an eerie voice to start with. “But be warned sensei, it is not a good idea / to go to the girl’s dorm at all. / Do you still/want to go there?” the two of them started to speak while finishing what each other is trying to say again. “If you don’t wish for me to go there, then can you two just lead me out of the forest?” asked Yu-Loong. “We can do/that much, sensei,” answered the two. ************************************************************************ “We are out of the forest, / sensei,” said the two monotonic twins. “Thanks for your guide,” replied Yu-Loong with a smile at the two as he walked away. As he does so, he accidentally bumped into a woman wearing a plain white blouse and brown skirt. She stands at around five foot six with her high heels on. Her hair was tied back in a little hair bun. She dresses like the stereotypical old school teacher who usually holds a ruler in her hand ready to hit someone. Her figure, however, looked great. She has the beautiful face fit to be a top model too. “Who are you,” she asked Yu-Loong with an angry look on her face, “and why are you coming out of the forest leading to the girl’s dorm?” “I’m sorry,” apologized Yu-Loong as he bowed forward. “I’m new here and I didn’t know I was not suppose to head in there.” “You’re new here?” questioned the mysterious woman. “I don’t remember getting a new student recently.” “I’m not a student here. I’m a teacher,” Yu-Loong replied. She suddenly gave a frightening stare at Yu-Loong. She looked like she was engulfed in complete rage. “So you are the one who destroyed my chemistry lab…” she said in a low tone of voice. “Wa…wai…wait….You are the chemistry teacher?!” Yu-Loong suddenly yelled in shock. *Oh great…of all the people…why do I have to run into her…* Yu-Loong thought in his head. “As the girl’s dorm’s director, I, Kumori Akira, will not tolerate anyone who disobeys the rule,” she stated while giving Yu-Loong a very scary smile. She suddenly untied her hair and shot out a long thick rope from her hand with her right hand. “Ahh…what is this stuff?” asked the surprised Yu-Loong. “It is a special web made by the Onigumo (Spider Demon) Clan. We are able to produce endless amounts of these webs,” said Akira as she gave off a creepy laugh. “You better run, / sensei,” said the two vampires. “I understand,” Yu-Loong replied quickly as he pulled out one of the nitrogen bullets he had left over from the first day of school. He then smashed it into the web to freeze it and shattered the web with his wooden staff. He then looked around to see where he can run away to but was unable to find a path since Akira had sealed the path between him and the school with her web. The only way to run to is the girl’s dorm. *It’s better than facing the giant spider* Yu-Loong thought to himself as he turned around and made a quick dash to the path leading to the girl’s dorm. “Akira was not expecting Yu-Loong to pull off a stunt like that. “Stop right there!” she yelled as she ran after him. The vampire twins just stood there and stared at the two with an indifferent face as they ran off. “Come back safely,” said the two as they walked toward the school building. ************************************************************************ As Yu-Loong runs through the path toward the girl’s dorm, he stepped on the traps again. However, he completely ignored them as he kept spinning his staff around deflecting all the arrows and dodged all the large traps such as falling tree trunks and boulders. *How is he able to move so fast with all these traps coming at him from all over?* Akira thought to herself. *No one had ever done what he’s doing right now before. Not even Superintendent Kira.* *Why is that crazy spider still behind me!* thought Yu-Loong to himself. *At this rate, my stamina is going to die out.* He suddenly saw a building appearing behind the thick trees. *This must be the girl’s dorm. Maybe I can avoid her inside,* he thought to himself as he sped up and made a quick dash inside. Akira ran up to the dorm as well. *How is he able to run so fast…* Akira thought to herself as she looked around. *Well, he shouldn’t be stupid enough to run into the dorms since Superintendent Kira probably told him about the danger of the girl’s dorm,* she thought and started to search outside the dorm. ************************************************************************ *I finally got rid of her I guess,* Yu-Loong thought to himself as he hid in the closet. *I should take a peak outside and see if it is clear to head outside.* As he opened the closet door from the inside, he saw Sayuri walking by. “Shiroyuki-kun!” he suddenly said aloud. Sayuri turned in his direction and saw Yu-Loong through the narrow closet door opening. She then looked around to see if anyone is around and walked over hastily. “What are you doing here! You do know that the girl’s dorm is off limits to every male right, Fang-sensei?!” she whispered angrily. “If Kumori-sensei finds out that you are here, she is going to tear you apart!” “I know!” Yu-Loong replied quietly. “She already know that I’m here somewhere around the girl’s dorm since she was the one who chased me here.” “What?!” exclaimed Sayuri out loud. Some of the girls who lived around there came out of their room to check what had happened. Sayuri apologized to the girls who came out of their rooms and came into the closet. She then settled down and started lecturing Yu-Loong. “Listen here, Fang-sensei. Even if Kumori-sensei doesn’t find you, if the girls find out that you are sneaking around here, I doubt that even Ryuga-sama will be able to handle them.” Yu-Loong took a deep sigh after hearing that from Sayuri. “So why are you telling me this? I thought you wanted to kill me,” stated Yu-Loong with a puzzled face. Sayuri suddenly blushed after hearing Yu-Loong’s question. “Th…th…that is not something you need to know,” she replied hastily. Her usual calm and cold expression melted away with embarrassment. She then turned around and opens the closet door. “Try getting out of here by yourself. I do not want to be count as an accomplice and get into trouble due to your stupidity,” she said with her back turned to Yu-Loong. “Well, good luck. I hope you will be able to come to class tomorrow,” she said, showing a cold smile as she closed the door. Yu-Loong sits there forcing a smile out and thinking to himself, *This is probably the biggest crisis in my life so far.* He then takes a big sign |

Chapter 7
The Girl's Dorm ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** Yu-Loong sat in the closet until it was dark outside since he didn’t want anyone to see him. *It should be safe to go out and take a peak now I guess,* he thought to himself as he went for the door. The door suddenly swung open just as Yu-Loong was about to grab the knob. A girl was standing in front of him now. The girl looked about five foot seven. She had her long black hair tied up in a huge ponytail and it almost touched the ground. She stood there wearing a tank top and a pair of short shorts. Her body was semi-exposed since she was wearing such little clothing without any undergarments. Her figure was on par with Akira. As Yu-Loong looked up at her, she eyes started to water. Yu-Loong forced an awkward smile from her face and made a quick dash for the entrance as she suddenly screamed, “Kyaaaaaa……….hentai!!!!!” “Sorry!” Yu-Loong yelled back at the girl but didn’t bother to wait for an answer since he was trying to run for his life right at this moment. As he turned at the corner of the hall, he accidentally knocked down another girl. This time, he runs into Akira. *Of all the people, why does it have to be her again?* he thought to himself. Akira was still trying to get her balance when Yu-Loong ran back around the corner. This time, he knocked down Sayuri just as she comes out of the room. She was wearing a yukata and was carrying some bath supplies inside a wooden bucket. Yu-Loong landed on top of her as the two of them falls down on the ground. “Would you look where you are going? Gee…” said Sayuri as she opens her eyes and saw Yu-Loong on top of her. Her face started to blush as Yu-Loong raised his head up from her chest. “I’m sorry…” said Yu-Loong as he rubs his forehead. He then took a look at who he ran into and saw Sayuri underneath him. “Sh…Shi…Shirroyuki-kun?!” Yu-Loong suddenly yelled out in surprise. “Will you get off me already…sensei…” said Sayuri with an angry face. She conjured up six shuriken and aimed it all at Yu-Loong. Yu-Loong quickly jumped out of the path of the blades and made another run for the entrance this time. The alarm suddenly went off in the girl’s dorm. The speaker in the girl’s dorm suddenly came online. “There’s a boy in the girl’s dorm. Capture him and bring him to the director’s office,” Akira said over the speakers. The girls suddenly opened their doors and saw Yu-Loong trying to apologize to Sayuri and Sayuri about to launch another barrage of shuriken at Yu-Loong. A bunch of chatters started to rise up in the back. “There really is a boy in the girl’s dorm.” “Which boy’s bold enough to come here in the first place, and at night too.” “Hee…looks like he bumped into Shiroyuki-kun.” The tension was rising. *I need some distraction in order to escape this predicament,* Yu-Loong thought as he started to panic a bit but still trying to force a smile out of himself. “Ahh! A panty thief!” he yelled while pointing outside the window next to him. Everyone started rushing to the window to check if it is true or not. With this huge distraction, Yu-Loong made a quick dash down the hall, turned left at the far corner, and went into a room. “I should be safe in here since it looks like everyone is panicking over the little distraction,” he murmured to himself. He then heard the sound of a wood bucket hitting the floor. “No way…did I just enter the girl’s bath?” he murmured as he slowly turned around. There were a lot of girls wrapped in towels behind him staring at him with hatred and disgust. They all had a wooden bucket in their hand ready to throw it at him. “I feel like I’m in a comedy manga right now…This is not going to end well,” he said to himself as the barrage of flying buckets went straight for him. He managed to dodge two of them but got pummeled with the rest. With all these buckets over him now he started to make his escape. *I hope they don’t see me leave,* he thought to himself. He then slowly went for the door, slide it open slowly, and crawled out. Just as he got out, someone came up in front of him and stood there. As he slowly look up, he saw Akira standing there staring down at him. *This day just keep getting worse and worse…* he thought as he quickly get off the floor and ran past Akira. “You aren’t getting away that easily!” Akira yelled as she shot out a long web rope. Yu-Loong quickly grabbed a nitrogen bullet from his pocket and threw it at the web and freezes it. *That’s my last bullet. It’s going to be a pain if she use that again,* Yu-Loong thought as he run frantically away toward the back entrance of the school. The students living there just looked at Yu-Loong as he ran down the path from the dorm’s back entrance as they started talking to each other. “Who was that guy?” “Does he know that guys are prohibited from coming to the girl’s dorm?” “Why didn’t Shiroyuki-kun put him in a block of ice like all the other guys who approached her?” When Sayuri heard that question, she turned around with an expression filled with anger and embarrassment and yelled, “This is none of your problem! Go back to your room!” The crowd started to dissipate. Akira suddenly stopped in front of the group of girls. “Where is that guy?!” she yelled. “He ran out the back entrance of the dorm. I don’t think he’s stupid enough to go to the lake this late at night,” said one of the girl. Akirs suddenly paused with a shocked look. It soon turned into anger and she started running in that direction as well. “That idiot Kira didn’t tell that guy anything. I’ll be right back girls!” she yelled at them. *I hope Fang-sensei is alright. He just ran toward the Lake of Clairvoyance. I heard the guardian spirit there is dangerous for strangers. When he comes back, I’m gonna teach him a lesson he will never forget for putting his head on my chest,* she thought to herself while holding up a fist. ************************************************************************ Yu-Loong is running along the dark path leading from the dorm. Since he had been trying to avoid the girls back there and running away from Akira, he is now out of breath. His fifteen minute stamina is almost gone. “If I don’t find a place to rest,” Yu-Loong panted, “I’m gonna collapse once I hit my time limit.” Even though Yu-Loong had a tough body and great strength, his stamina is usually his downfall. No matter how large or small the tasks are, his stamina limit is at a fifteen minute limit. A rustling sound suddenly came up behind Yu-Loong. *That must be Akira. I should hide,* he thought as he dived into the bushes next to the road. He was right. It was Akira who was running down the road. She then suddenly made a right from the main path into a small path. *What is she doing?* Yu-Loong wondered. He then got out of the bushes and walked a bit further down the path. A sign came into his view after a while. *Lake of Clairvoyance KEEP OUT* was written on the sign. “I shouldn’t continue. The last time I didn’t listen to a warning, I was chased around like I have a bounty on my head,” he said to himself as he forced a smile from himself. Just as he was about to leave, a sudden gust picked up and he was pulled into the restricted area. Yu-Loong, however, did not panic. He just put on a disappointed face, takes a very deep sigh and said, “Gee, these things just keep happening to me one after another. I’ve gotten so used to it I didn’t even panic. At least this weird force isn’t dragging me on the ground.” He then takes another sigh. After about a minute of riding on the wind, he found himself in front of a lake. “This is the Lake of Clairvoyance, isn’t it…” he quietly murmured. A ghostly figure suddenly appeared in front of him. The figure looked mesmerizing as it shines with different colored. “I have been waiting for you,” said the figure as it began to solidify into a human shape. “You are the prophesized three headed dragon.” “What?” asked Yu-Loong surprisingly. “I understand that I have a dragon spirit sealed up in my body, but a three headed dragon? I’ve never heard about this.” “Yes,” replied the weird being. “There are some mysteries which you shall discover as time passes. For now, please drink this.” A small clear bottle floated from the figure to Yu-Loong. It had some kind of blue liquid in it. Yu-Loong grabbed the bottle and drank it down thinking that his questions about the school and his life might be answered. As he drank the liquid, he started feeling dizzy and fell down to the ground unconscious. Akira suddenly came up to the lake. “I’m too late,” she murmured to herself. “Don’t worry,” said the figure. “I am just giving this young one a test. In order for him to regain what he once lost, this path is necessary for him to walk down. We will see the result if he is indeed the prophesized one.” Akira let out a small sigh, bends her head back to look at the starry sky, and swung her head down. “I understand, Water Spirit Mizuho.” ************************************************************************ “Ahh…where am I?” Yu-Loong said as he woke up in a field of darkness. “What is this place? A figure suddenly came up behind him. it looked like a beast of some sort. As it get closer to Yu-Loong, the surrounding lights up. It was not a beast. The creature looked human. “We finally meet face to face, Yu,” that person said. “Who are you?” questioned Yu-Loong as he stood up with a serious face. The face that he woke up in a weird place with no sign of life makes him feel like he had been tricked into drinking that weird liquid. “Who am I?” the person started laughing. “You had used my power twice now and you still don’t know who I am? Gee…I should really teach you a lesson for not remembering my voice.” “No way…you’re Dark Seiryuu?” Yu-Loong said with a little surprise tone. “Where are we right now anyway?” “Another stupid question? I thought you were suppose to be smart!” Dark Seiryuu said as he laughed at Yu-Loong. That comment made Yu-Loong mad, but since he doesn’t understand the situation, he remained silent. “By the way, don’t call me Dark Seiryuu. Just call me Ryuga. Being called the same name as ‘him’ makes me want to throw up,” Dark Seiryuu continued with a grin on his face. “So where are we and what are we doing here?” asked Yu-Loong. Anger started to build inside him as Dark Seiryuu continued with the sarcasms and rudeness. “We are in your own world. This is a place where your memories, knowledge, and abilities are stored. We are here to pry open your hidden talent,” said Dark Seiryuu with a big grin. “My hidden talent?” Yu-Loong asked with a questioned look. “And what might that be?” With his grin still on his face, Dark Seiryuu suddenly raised both his hands into the air and yelled out, “Alchemic engineering! You have the ability to change elements and particles around you with your free will, and with your ability to build any type of weaponries!” He then turned around and put one hand on his shoulder. “With that ability, you can make things normal people can only imagine,” he said. *Gee…he sound like the devil trying to convince someone into making a deal with him…* Yu-Loong thought to himself. “Are we only here for that?” he then asked. Dark Seiryuu’s carefree rude tone suddenly turned serious. “No. We are also here to meet ‘him.’” Chapter 8 Trial of the Dragons ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** *I’m currently trapped in a weird world which is suppose to be my subconscious and talking to the other ‘me.’ This is suppose to be a test for me but I don’t know if I should go though with it.* Yu-Loong walks next to Ryuga as they make their way through the lightless plains. “We will be at our destination soon enough. Prepare yourself for any possible fights,” said Ryuga with a deep tone. The aura around the two is very dense and dark. Ryuga, who was filled with energy and rudeness, looked like he is angry enough to tear someone in half for no reason. The two just remained silent the entire way. Yu-Loong felt this heavy pressure on his shoulder. He can’t crack a smile even if he tries forcing one out. There are a lot of questions on his mind. He decided to start asking the person walking in front of him and tries to break the dead silence between them. “The figure that appeared at the lake…what was it?” Ryuga just kept walking. He slowly opens his mouth and answered, “That was the water spirit who guards the lake. If you want to ask any other questions beyond that like what you were in the past, you will have to find out for yourself. We are not supposed to intrude on other people’s past.” Yu-Loong sighs and replied, “I guess I’ll have to abide by that iron clad rule. So when are we going to arrive at our destination?” Ryuga suddenly stopped in the middle of nowhere. “We are here,” he said as he started chanting and an orb of light emerged from the grounds. “Your trial to regain your powers from your past life begins now,” he turned around and gave Yu-Loong a dead serious look. “WHO GOES THERE!” someone suddenly yelled out. “Great…he’s here,” said Ryuga with a disappointed look on his face. “I knew he would show his face as soon as we begin the trial ritual,” he takes a deep sigh and put up his arrogant grin again. “Why are you here?!” questioned the unfamiliar person from the shadows. “I haven’t seen you for a while and this is how you greet me? Ain’t ya a bit rude? Bringer of Light, Seiryuu,” said Ryuga in his rude tone of voice. “I don’t want to be called rude by the likes of you, Doom Bringer, Ryuga,” he replied as he steps into the light. This person looked completely different from Ryuga. His silky blonde hair was long and straight. He had it down to his back. There’s nothing unkempt about his appearance. Unlike Ryuga who looks tattered with a battle-worn armor and beast-like behavior, he stood there with a lot of pride in his shining jade-colored armor. “Who is he?” Yu-Loong asked Ryuga. “He is the other dragon who resides in your body. The Bringer of Salvation, the Holy Light, the Heavenly Dragon, Seiryuu,” Ryuga said in a serious tone. The pressure around them just kept getting heavier and heavier. Yu-Loong is confused at the situation. *I have two dragons residing in my body? How is that possible? …wait a second…the water spirit said ‘three-headed dragon’…is there another dragon in my body?* he tried to think about the situation and the words of the spirit. “How could there be more than two souls in one body?” asked Yu-Loong. “I’m as surprised as you are, Yu. I was wondering around this empty zone for a while before you got into that fight with Sayuri, and I found him locked up in an orb of light. It appears that he is the one who kept me from taking over your body all this time. With such a strong force of Yang energy counteracting my Ying energy, it finally makes sense why I wasn’t able to take control of this body,” answered Ryuga with an anger-filled tone. ************************************************************************ Akira is sitting next to Yu-Loong’s body in the real world. “Wonder how his trial is going,” she mumbled to herself. “I know he’s new here but this is just too much for one person to burden.” Just then, Kira and Suzuka came up to the lake. “What happened!?” Kira yelled. The two of them saw Yu-Loong lying down on the ground not moving. “What’s going on?” Kira asked frantically. Akira stood up. She gave Kira a cold glare and stated, “If you told that guy some information, we wouldn’t have this problem. That guy is going through the process of opening up his abilities right now. He isn’t rea…” Akira got distracted due to the glow on Yu-Loong’s right arm. The bandage on that arm suddenly came off revealing a tattoo of a pure white dragon. Kira looked at the strange occurance and said in a serious tone, “The second piece of the puzzle had revealed itself. Now, we can only wait for the third piece to emerge.” ************************************************************************ “Who are you talking to!? Answer now, Hell Dragon Ryuga!” demanded Seiryuu. “It’s no one. It’s just the host of our body,” answers Ryuga with his arrogant tone as he tried to push Seiryuu’s anger over the edge. Seiryuu, however, remained calmed. “So this is the moment we have been waiting for. The awakening of the third dragon,” said Seiryuu calmly. Ryuga’s arrogant tone turned serious again. “Yes, the trial had started. The only thing left now is for him to defeat us in battle before claiming his prize. Let’s start the trial of dragons!” Just as Ryuga yelled out, an enormous claymore landed in front of Seiryuu. It had a very unique design. The cross-guard looked like the silvery wings of an angel and the grip was about two feet long. The blade of the claymore looks ridiculously huge with about a foot wide and a yard long. What’s more ridiculous is that this claymore had three blades lined up parallel to each other. “This is my ultimate blade, the Tri-Blade Claymore. This weapon had slain armies of demons in the past. This shall be your greatest trial,” said Seiryuu in a cold-blooded tone. “Why are you always taking things to the extreme? We are here to test him, not destroy him. Do you want to kill off the host of this body we reside in? You thick-headed, merciless killer,” questioned Ryuga with discontent. “I understand,” Seiryuu replied as he dispersed his blade into thin air. “This blade is still lost somewhere in the real world anyway and I have to reclaim it.” He said as he puts his hands together. A sword started to form as his hands moved apart. “I summon thee, Kusanagi.” “That’s better,” said Ryuga as he starts forming metallic claws on his hands with an abnormal chant. “I call upon thee, Claws of the Wyvern.” The two looked ready to battle. They pointed their weapons at Yu-Loong. “…what am I suppose to do now? You guys just summoned your weapons without telling me anything. If I am to fight you two, how do I do that without weapons?” Yu-Loong questioned in surprise. “Try and recall all the memories you can remember. The weapon within you lies there,” stated Seiryuu. His calm voice loosened up the tension Yu-Loong had. *Recalling my memories…are they serious? How can anyone remember anything before they are three years old?* Yu-Loong thought to himself as he tried to go with the flow. Bits and pieces of himself back when he was still in college flows back into his head. *There’s nothing here that can help me in this situation. Even if I have my little freeze rifle on me, I highly doubt it will do any good against the two. Well, since I can’t come up with anything right now, might as well go with what I can.* Yu-Loong opened up his right hand, raised it up to the side and called out, “Materialize, Elemental Rifle!” The rifle started to form in front of his hand. The then raised his left hand off to his left and called out again, “Materialize, Freeze Capsules!” The nitrogen bullets formed and he grabbed them from thin air. “Well, at least you got your alchemic ability down. Changing the formation of the molecules around you to create what you need and arranging them into a specific order. The power of the alchemic engineer has awakened,” said Ryuga. “Let’s start the battle now.” The two dragon warriors started to charge toward Yu-Loong from two different directions. Ryuga strikes Yu-Loong with his right claw as Seiryuu swings down his blade. Their attack crossed each other’s path as they made the impact on Yu-Loong. Unable to dodge the two swift attacks, Yu-Loong was send flying upward by the combo attack. He then came crashing down to the ground. “Is that all you got?” asked Seiryuu with a cold voice. “If it is, you are going to die here, you know?” said Ryuga as he poked Yu-Loong’s head with his claw trying to see if he is still alive. “He…hehe…” Yu-Loong gave off a weak chuckle. “Why…don’t you…look at your…feet?” he said with another chuckle. The two of them looked down at their feet and saw that they were frozen all the way up to their knees. “That’s a nice technique, Yu,” Ryuga gave his a compliment with his usual smirk. “That is impressive. You were able to land a blow on us without us noticing,” Seiryuu stated calmly as if it was not a feat to be proud of. “However, take a look at your weapon,” he continued. The rifle was shattered to pieces due to the enormous impact the two gave Yu-Loong. *This is bad…I need another weapon…something that I’m good at using and do not break as easily…* Yu-Loong thought to himself. He then remembered back when he was learning martial arts. An old man who wears a cloak thought him the arts of martial weaponry. “A weapon that is useful when combined with unarmed combat…” he said to himself. Going through his memory, he remembered the old man giving him something before he left this world. The special pair of tonfas called the Twin-Headed Behemoth. It has a special design. The two sticks were made to look like a dragon. Both of them beautifully carved with the impression of scales as green as pure jade. It is made of an extremely hard alloy which can withstand fifty tons of pressure without breaking. Nonetheless, the tonfas had been sealed up since Yu-Loong buried them with the old hermit in his grave. “I should be able to create something like that…” he said silently to himself. He stood up with all the energy he can gather and put both hands out in front of him. “Materialize, Twin-Headed Behemoth!” particles started to gather around him and compacted into the shape of the tonfas he was familiar with. It was quite heavy since the weapon’s alloy was very dense. He grabs the two tonfas by the handle and spins them around his fists making a large circle. “This should even the score,” Yu-Loong said as he rushed forward at full force toward Ryuga. He jumped, did a 180 moonsault, and launched the two tonfas at him. The tonfas made full contact as Ryuga was knocked onto the ground while coughing out blood. Yu-Loong grabbed the tonfas from the ground in an instant and ran right for Seiryuu. The tonfas and the sword clashed sending sparks into the darkness. “You aren’t half bad, Manipulator of Reality,” said Seiryuu with his cold expression. “Manipulator of Reality?” Yu-Loong questioned. The name struck him like a blow to his head as he started to lose his balance. Seiryuu put his blade away. “That will be all for now. You past the trial,” he stated as he gave a smile to Yu-Loong. “With this, you will now be able to use your ability in the real world. The memory of your past life will be regained if you continue to use your power. That’s all for now,” Ryuga stated with his annoying smirk. “Thanks you two,” Yu-Loong said as a portal started to open up above him. His vision turned completely dark all of a sudden and he woke up in the real world. “Are you okay?” asked Suzuka as she saw Yu-Loong opening his eyes. “Ye…yea, I’m okay. Thanks for worrying about me,” Yu-Loong said as he gave Suzuka a smile. After hearing that, Suzuka’s face started to blush. She was red all the way down to her neck. Akira came up behind Yu-Loong all of a sudden and grabbed him by the neck. “Fang-sensei…” she said in a frightening voice. Cold sweat started to run down Yu-Loong’s spine. “I forgive you for running into the girl’s dorm since I was the one chasing you…but…you are going to fix up my chemistry lab and make it better than before! GOT THAT!” Akira yelled at Yu-Loong. “Ye…yes, ma’am!” Yu-Loong answered in fear as Akira dragged him off. Suzuka, still blushing from what Yu-Loong said, looked at the two with Kira as they headed in the direction of the school. Chapter 9 Dawn of Power ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** “Gee...I’ve really got myself into a huge trouble back then…” Yu-Loong thought to himself as he nailed a metallic plank to the wall of the destroyed room. It was the chemistry lab which got totaled back when the demons attacked the school when he arrived. Due to some emergency situation, Yu-Loong uncontrollably tore up the safe in the room and transmuted some of the pipes in there to create his weapon. Needless to say, the gas from the pipes leaked and when it makes contact with an intense burst of heat, the lab blew up. As Yu-Loong fixes the torn up chemistry lab, he remembers how Akira dragged him all the way from the Lake of Clairvoyance all the way back to the school building. ************************************************************************ “Listen here. I will not punish you for entering the girl’s dorm since Superintendent Kira did not tell you anything and I was the one who chased you there, but I will not forgive you for making my lab blew up,” Akira tells him in an infuriated tone. “You are going to rebuild it. Also, reinforce it with some tougher alloy so this will not happen again even if the dark demons come back here.” After saying this, she just threw Yu-Loong into the destroyed room and walks away. ************************************************************************ “I’ve been transmuting normal steel into reinforced adamantium from last night. Now, I can’t go teach at my class because that crazy spider wants me to fix her lab before doing anything else…” Yu-Loong whispered in frustration as he picks up another piece of adamantium and fit it up against the wall. “And I thought alchemy was fake,” he laughed a little as he said this. The last piece of adamantium finally went up on the wall. At that time, Yu-Loong looked at his work and thought to himself, *Maybe the entire school should be reinforced with this strong material. It isn’t hard to make, just hard to carry around due to the tightly compressed carbon atoms. I’ll talk to Kira during lunch then I guess.* ************************************************************************ After the morning session of class finished, Yu-Loong and Suzuka met up with Kira. The three of them went to the teacher’s lounge. “So how was Akira’s punishment?” Kira asked as he put on a big grin. “Not too bad is it?” Yu-Loong put up a small smile and said, “It wasn’t too bad. She just told me to repair and upgrade her lab. After that, I just went back to class and teach a bit before lunch time.” Suzuka was just staring at Yu-Loong the entire time as he talks. It looked like she was in a trance. “Are you alright, Suzuka?” Yu-Loong asked her as he noticed Suzuka acting weirdly. “Do you feel uncomfortable?” Suzuka just quietly shakes her head as she blushed and whispered in a trembling voice, “No…I’m fine…” “As long as you feel okay, I guess it’s alright,” Yu-Loong said with a gentle smile. Suzuka face turned redder. “Kira, I have something I wish to discuss with you. It’s about my new skill I got,” he turned to Kira and started a serious conversation. “What about your power?” Kira questioned. He then told Suzuka to go outside and wait for them. “Why did you send Suzuka out?” Yu-Loong questioned. “I can’t have her hearing what your power is since you possess the power of an alchemist and an engineer,” Kira stated as he puts his hands together and rests his chin on them. “Around that girl, these two things together are like a taboo. Please do not show your powers in front of her,” he said as he puts his hands out together and bowed in front of Yu-Loong. “Why?” Yu-Loong asked with a puzzled look on his face. Kira lowered his head, took a big sigh and started talking. “Back when she was a child, we used to play around a lot. One day when we were role playing, I said I wanted to be an alchemic engineer. At that time, it just sounded cool to me. As I mentioned that, her bright personality suddenly disappeared as she fell to the ground holding herself like she was in shock. Maybe she lost someone important who was an alchemic engineer in her past life and she recalled it. I don’t know anything about it and I was too afraid to bring up that question to her.” “I understand,” Yu-Loong said as he nods. “Well, going back to business, I was thinking of reinforcing the entire school with this alloy I’m able to create.” Yu-Loong rose one hand up and began gathering atomic particles into his hand. The atoms began to reshape and reformed into carbon particles as they are being packed into a little crystal. “This is known as adamantium. It has the same structure as diamond because of its neatly packed carbon atoms.” He holds out the crystal and dropped it into Kira’s hand. “I can create sheets of this alloy and we can reinforce the entire school grounds with it. With this, the school should be a lot sturdier.” Kira looked at the alloy and attempt to crush it. It was too hard to break. “I must say, this is a hard alloy, but I wonder if it is sturdy enough to withstand a blow from my weapon. Follow me,” Kira said as he puts away his empty lunch tray. The two of them went outside to meet up with Suzuka before heading off. ************************************************************************ Since Yu-Loong didn’t have to teach afternoon class that day, the two of them arrived in an open area underneath the school from an elevator from Kira’s office after Suzuka returned to her class. “This is the school’s special training grounds,” said Kira to Yu-Loong. “This is a special place where we can test out different things without causing too much harm to the surroundings.” The area was enormous. The area was about five acres wide and the height of the room is more than three miles. The elevator ride took almost forever. “Isn’t this place too big for something we are doing?” asked Yu-Loong. “This is the first time you ever seen something like this I take it,” said Kira with his arms crossed and a smile on his face. He then turned around and asked Yu-Loong, “You got a firsthand experience of Shiroyuki’s best attack didn’t you? When testing out that attack for the first time, I don’t think it would be wise to use it outside, don’t you agree?” Yu-Loong replied with a smirk, “You’re right I guess. So how are we going to test out my alloy?” Kira took the small crystal and place it in a very heavy stand. The small clays grip down on the crystal tightly. “Stand back,” Kira told Yu-Loong as he runs about a mile back. He then pull out a long needle out of his small pen case. “What is that?” asked Yu-Loong with a puzzled look. “You’re Chinese right, Yu-san? You probably heard of the Journey to the Went story,” Kira told Yu-Loong in a very serious voice. “Of course. That’s a very popular story,” Yu-Loong answered Kira. “Well,” Kira puts up a smirk as he grabbed the needle with his right hand and swung it over his left shoulder, “this is the Ruyi Jingu Bang (如意金箍棒As-you-will Golden-bound Cudgel) that the mythical Monkey King wields!” Kira then swung his right arm outward. The cudgel grew and extended while he was stinging his arm out and made a clear hit right on the side of the crystal. The crystal held onto its shape as the cudgel makes contact and the entire stand was send flying off to the right side of the room. The two of them just stood there as they watch the ten ton stand fly across the room. “Haa…so that’s your special weapon huh?” asked Yu-Loong as he looked at the result of the test in awe. “…I think I overdid it on that swing…” Kira answered with an awkward laugh. The two then walked over to the crystal and saw that it was barely scratched. “Well, I guess the school can use some reinforcements,” said Kira with a sigh and a smile. I’ll need you to make about five thousand ten by ten feet planks for the school,” Kira turned to Yu-Loong and said. “Sure. I’ll get right on it,” Yu-Loong answered without thinking it through. After they walked toward the elevator, Yu-Loong finally froze as if something shocking passed in front of him. “D…di…did you say five thousand…?” Yu-Loong asked in a trembling voice as he started to sweat. “Yes. Five thousand should be enough to reinforce the school. We can have the students help put up the reinforced alloy so please take care of the transmutation,” Kira said with a smile. Yu-Loong stood there and gave off a cold laugh. *I just keep giving myself more work…* he thought to himself. ************************************************************************ After hours of rearranging atoms into specific shapes for about five hours, Yu-Loong finally finished creating the adamantium sheets. He was able to work in peace since it was night time and he was the only person left on school grounds. The forest around the school is dangerous during dark but not the school itself. He suddenly collapsed from overexerting his magical energy. *Am I finally going to die?* he thought to himself. Just then, he heard footsteps coming up from behind. He turned over and saw a group of people walking around with flashlights and a sign on their back saying “School Patrol” on it. “Those people must be the guards of the school,” Yu-Loong said as he faints. ************************************************************************ “Arg…my head hurts…” Yu-Loong said as he woke up from his little nap. He opened his eyes and found out he was on a sofa and there were some talking around him. With his head turned to the right, he saw a bunch of boys chitchatting about stuff and munching on a bunch of junk food on the table. One of the boys saw Yu-Loong waking up and told the rest of the group to go over and take a look at him. A big guy suddenly came out from behind the four guys crowding the couch. “What were you doing out there this late at night?” asked the big muscle bound guy with a mean looking face. “Superintendent Kira told me to make something for the school before tomorrow and…” Yu-Loong suddenly got cut off due to the group’s laughter. “Superintendent Satsura will never ask someone like you to do something this late at night. He wouldn’t let anyone in school to be out and about this late at night other than the teachers and the patrol force,” said the big guy with everyone behind him laughing. “Well, I am one of the teachers here,” replied Yu-Loong as he gets annoyed with their laughter. They all took a look at Yu-Loong and burst out laughing even harder. “There’s no way you can be a teacher here. We never saw your face on campus and you are too young to be a teacher.” Yu-Loong is getting angered by all these rudeness he is receiving. *There are two things I hate and it is arrogance and disrespect,* he thought to himself as he tries to suppress his anger. “Go back to your dorm room already, twerp!” the big guy said loudly to Yu-Loong in a very rude tone. He was looking down on Yu-Loong. *I really should teach them a lesson,* Yu-Loong thought to himself. He then got off the couch and stood in front of the big guy with his kind smile. “I’m sorry, I’m new here. Could you at least tell me your names?” he asked them while trying to hold his usual nice guy act. “Heh, well, my name is Kurogane Yoruichi, captain of the Bloodrage Warrior troops. That other guy over there in armor and grey hair is Shinohara Kenshin, my vice-captain. Blondie over there is the leader of the Celestial Archer battalion, Ferdinandes Centaurus. His sister is the vice-captain of the team. And last but not least, Mr. Creepy over there is our arms dealer and weapon master, Nero Magistus. We are the leaders of the school’s assault team,” Yoruichi said with a proud voice. “Well then,” Yu-Loong dropped his nice guy routine and puts up a small grin on his face, “I would like to challenge all of you to a little competition tomorrow. We’ll meet at the teacher’s lounge over at the girl’s side of the school. I’ll show you that I was not lying about being a teacher of this school. Remember to keep this a secret from the rest of the students if you don’t want Kira hunting you all down.” He then walked out of the room leaving all of them in a state of shock. Yoruichi’s face started looking more and more furious and he finally exploded in anger. “WHO DOES THAT BRAT THINK HE IS!! I AM GOING TO SQUASH HIM TOMORROW!” End Chapter 9 Chapter 10 Thunderous Clash ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** “Arg…what’s with this cold wind in the summer?” Yu-Loong mumbled to himself as he woke up on a bench in the school park. It was five in the morning. “Since I’m awake, I might as well start my usual morning warm-ups,” Yu-Loong said as he stretched his arms and legs as he heads over to the nearest drinking fountain. As he pushed down the lever on the water fountain, he saw a shadow in the mist approaching him. The eerie feeling gave him the chills. *Wonder if it is another attach on the school…* he thought to himself as he pulled out a steel staff from midair with his alchemic power. His bone gave off a loud crack as he gets ready for battle. *This is bad…without any warm-ups, my body is going to hurt like being run over by a truck three times,* he thought to himself as he holds in his pain. “What are you doing here this early, sensei?” a familiar monotonic voice came from the shadow. “Felheart-kun?” Yu-Loong asked with a surprise. “I should be asking you that question. Why are you here at this hour? And what are the three of you doing out here as well?” Sayuri and the Geminus twins stepped out of the mist behind Rahx. “I’m surprise that a person like you could even sense us in that mist I created, sensei,” Sayuri said as she gave Yu-Loong a smirk. “Why do I have to take sarcasm from you this early in the morning?” Yu-Loong said with a huge sigh. “So why are you four doing here anyway?” “We are in charge of morning patrol at school,” said Sayuri. The three girls behind her nodded their head up and down. “I heard from the night patrol that someone wanted to pick a fight with them. They said it was a young guy with a semi-long hair style and wears a smile almost all the time while taking to them. I can’t really think of other people in school who are like that other than you. They asked if we would like to join them since we are also a part of the patrol team but all of us refused their offer. I already know your strength from last time so it’s kind of pointless for me to go through that again, so I will be their eye witness for the fight. You should find an eye witness too since I don’t know if they will try and cheat like they usually do.” Sayuri finished what she said and left with the other three girls. Yu-Loong let out a big sigh. “An eye witness huh? I wonder if Kira will fill in that spot for me…” he said to himself as he walks over to ************************************************************************ After school had ended, Yu-Loong went over to Kira and told him the situation. “You know, if you gave me a call last night, I could’ve confirmed it with them and let you off without going through this, right?” Kira asked with a sigh. “If I do that, I would have just proved that I’m weak since I need you to back me up. I rather make them accept me for who I am rather than use other’s power,” Yu-Loong answered Kira with his smile. “Since that is the path you choose,” Kira said while scratching his head. He then stood up from his seat and put up a huge grin. “I wouldn’t mind seeing how well you can use your alchemy power. I’ll tell Suzuka to stay with Akira for the night and we will head over and meet up with them.” ************************************************************************ Everyone in the school patrol was present and accounted for at the track field. Yu-Loong walked up from the other side of the track field and stood in front of the large group of people next to Kira. He was facing about fifty students who were deemed the best fighters in school. “Ahh!” the shout of a girl suddenly came out of the crowd of people. It was the girl Yu-Loong ran into when he came out of the closet back in the girl’s dorm. “Nii-san, that’s the person I told you about. He’s the one who was running around the girl’s dorm.” After hearing what she said, everyone turned and faced Yu-Loong with anger-filled eyes. The killing aura started to grow from them. *Gee…so she is the female member of the school patrol they were talking about. If I remember, she’s the one who sits in the back of the class with the really thick glasses and the twin pig-tails…they look completely different…* Yu-Loong thought to himself as he let out a sigh and rubbed his eyes in disappointment of himself. “Are we going to stare each other down all night long or are we going to get on with the fight before the other students realize what we are doing?!” Sayuri yelled from the crowd of people. No one was willing to listen. Kurogane walked toward the front of the front of the group with thunderous footsteps. He took a deep breath, stuck his chest out, and yelled at the group to shut up. With an enraged glance, he started walking toward Yu-Loong as his footsteps become louder and louder. He looked down on the new teacher with a serious stare. “Did you really go into the girl’s dorm?” Kurogane asked suddenly. “Yes I did,” Yu-Loong replied back with his stare. “That issue had already been solved with Kumori-sensei. It was only a little misunderstanding.” The two stood their grounds as they exchange stares and tried to overpower each other’s heavy aura. “Let’s move on to the battlefield, shall we?” Kira came up behind and said with a killing aura stronger than the two combined. “Ye…yes sir…” the two answered in fear as the aura nearly swallowed them up. ************************************************************************ Yu-Loong and the group of people arrived in the school’s special training grounds. Kira had locked up all the entrances to the place after everyone got in. the place was thoroughly searched in order to prevent any students from seeing the fight between the new teacher and the patrol squad of the school. After the through investigation of the grounds, the fight was ready to start. “So how do you want to do this sensei? One-on-one or a full head-on brawl?” Kurogane asked with an arrogant grin on his face. “Let’s go all against one. I don’t think it’s fair if I go one-on-one against my students,” Yu-Loong said in his arrogant tone since he was getting annoyed with all the disrespect Kurogane was giving him. Kira then ran to the far side along with Sayuri, Rahx and the Geminus twins and took the elevator up to the special announcement box. “Ahem…we will now start the battle between the new teacher, Yu-Loong, and the School Patrol Force. The fight will be carried out in a brawl style. The group with the last person standing will be the victor of the fight. Begin!” Right as the fight started, the members of the squad rushed toward the special weapons they hid around the battlegrounds while they were searching for any trespassers. The weapons were all special explosives which were banned from duels due to the last incident. Right as they pulled these explosives out, their bodies suddenly stiffed up and every low-ranked patrol members were paralyzed. They moved their eyes toward Yu-Loong who punched his left fist into the ground. There were sparks coming out of his entire body. “This is what you get for cheating, guys,” he said with a demonic grin on his face. “Elemental Barrage…Electric Mine!” As Yu-Loong yelled out his attack, enormous shockwaves surged through the ground toward all the members holding the explosives. When the electricity made contact with the students, their explosives were set off and the entire battlefield turned into a field of smoke. “So that’s your special technique, sensei?” Kurogane asked with a chuckle as if he was not impressed. “What you did there was impressive. I had never seen a mage cast a spell without an incantation.” “It isn’t hard if you are an alchemist who can transmute the elements,” Yu-Loong replied as he gets up from the ground and gave Kurogane a dead serious stare. His killing aura is intensifying with every passing moment. “Now that a quarter of your little grunts are out of the way, shall we start our real fight?” All the patrol squad knights and the rest of the grunts looked at the new teacher with awe. He was able to defeat twenty-five people with one attack. Kurogane let out a loud laugh. “So are you willing to share your secrets with the rest of us? None of us had ever heard of an alchemist who can use those kinda abilities,” Kurogane asked in his obnoxious tone. Yu-Loong took a deep sigh. “I see you aren’t going to respect me yet. I don’t blame you,” he said in his usual smile. “Well, I need a little rest before continuing anyway. I might as well explain it to a pea brain like you,” he said with a sly grin. “Pe…pea brain?!” Kurogane got furious and tried to rush Yu-Loong with a tackle. Yu-Loong avoided the tackle and kicked him right on the back of his knees. He then pushed his shoulders downward and made him kneel down on the ground. With the use of his alchemy, he created two steel binding bars from the ground and wrapped it around Kurogane. “Now that I have calmed the beast down,” Yu-Loong said as he turned toward the crowd, “I can explain how my ability works in terms of chemistry. As most of you know, atoms have two different charge particles surrounding them: the proton and the electron. That attack works by using alchemy and tearing out the electron charges on the atoms which creates an electric field around me and send sparks off. By creating lithium rods underground, I am able to create paths and send it toward my opponents.” With the end of his little lecture, Yu-Loong created a six-foot bo staff made of reinforced steel with his alchemy and stabbed one end into the ground. He snapped his fingers and the steel bars binding Kurogane shattered onto the grounds. “Shall we continue our little fight then?” Yu-Loong asked with a smile. ************************************************************************ “He’s not getting tired, is he?” Kira asked Sayuri with a grin. “He can’t be. While he was fighting me back then, he wasn’t able to use alchemy yet. Somehow, he was fighting on par with my ability with his kempo. He can completely destroy everyone down there if he chooses to I think…” Sayuri replied as she stared at the battle in awe. “That is true, Shiroyuki-kun,” Kira told Sayuri with a serious stare. “However, his biggest problem is his stamina. I saw him practicing his kempo every morning in front of my yard. He has a lot of strength, agility, speed and knowledge in the arts, but he cannot last longer than fifteen minutes while fighting, even if he conserves energy.” “So that’s why he said he wanted to finish my fight with him as soon as possible back then after we exchanged a few blows,” Sayuri mumbled to herself as she nods. “Shall we make a little wager, Sayuri?” Kira suddenly asked with a wicked smile on his face. Sayuri nodded in agreement. “So what are you wagering?” “How about a guaranteed ‘A’ for you and the rest of your friends sleeping on the couch?” Kira asked. Rahx and the Geminus twins fell asleep since they were on early morning patrol. They are usually on night patrol for the girl’s dorm and day patrol usually takes a lot out of them. “Sure thing, but what if I lose the bet?” Sayuri asked with a doubtful stare at Kira. “That’s easy,” Kira answered with a grin. “I will have you work under me for the rest of the school year.” “Alright then,” said Sayuri. “I’ll place my bet on Fang-sensei then.” The two then shook hands and agreed upon the terms of the bet. ************************************************************************ Yu-Loong grabbed the back of Kurogane’s collar and threw him into the crowd of people. “Get back to your position so we can start our little fight,” he said with a smile. Kurogane was furious at how easy he was thrown despite his large size. “All grunts and knights! Attack him at once!” he yelled furiously. Chapter 11 Battle Royale ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** Everyone surrounded Yu-Loong as he stood there with his steel staff. “Isn’t this a great sight,” Kurogane said with a loud laugh. “You will feel the wrath of the school’s best fighters. All archers and warriors, prepare your weapons!” All the patrol members pointed their weapons at Yu-Loong who stood his grounds in the middle. “Yoruichi-kun! I don’t think this is a good idea!” Yu-Loong yelled out loud. “If this is all you are going to use on me, I might as well just stop using my alchemy attacks and just rely on my martial arts!” “Shut it, ya cocky bastard!” Kurogane yelled out in anger. “Everyone, CHARGE!” The warriors who stood in the frontline charged as the archers shot out their arrows. The arrows poured down on Yu-Loong like a huge storm but none of them made contact. Yu-Loong stood in the middle of all the arrows without a single scratch on him since he was spinning his staff at a high speed and deflecting all the arrows that rained down on him. The warriors had finally reached their target. The first ten swung their swords in different directions at Yu-Loong with an intension to kill him. Right before the swords made contact, Yu-Loong jumped straight up six feet in the air avoiding the swords. He looked down from the air and saw five spearmen pointing their spears right at his head. As they launched their blades forward, Yu-Loong reached out for the closest spear and swung himself upward avoiding the stab. “Elemental Weapon…Lightning Javelin!” A lightning suddenly stroke down in the closed room and hit Yu-Loong right on his feet. The electricity surged through his body and down the spears that were close to him. Everyone in the three feet radius under Yu-Loong was electrocuted with a high voltage, making them immobile. “This is a lot of fun guys! Lets continue!” Yu-Loong yelled in excitement as he started to show his battle-crazed personality. All the fighters in the frontline got scared and retreated a few steps before charging again. The archers drew their bows again and prepared to fire another volley of arrows. Yu-Loong saw them and started taking short dashes across the field and avoiding the swords swinging for his head. “Transmutation…Gliders!” Yu-Loong shouted as he sends a surge of electrons throughout the ground making it magnetic. He then sends the same charge throughout his body which allowed him to glide across the ground. All the frontline warriors’ swords were stuck to the ground due to the strong magnetic pull. Yu-Loong launched himself forward and threw his staff toward the line of archers, knocking down five of them. Right as he landed in the middle of the line of archers, he picked up his staff and split it into two sections. The two parts changed its form into two blades and Yu-Loong threw it out slashing all the bows in half. “What are you all doing?!” Kurogane yelled out in fury. “Nero, bring in the Celestial Archers and the Bloodrage Warriors!” Nero started chanting a dark spell and soon, portals started to open up in front of the five captains and vice-captains. Fifty heavily armed warriors and archers suddenly took the frontline as all the remaining troops retreated. Each person in this group has their own special weapons. The archers’ bows were specially lined with a strange silvery allow which gives off a soothing shine like a full moon in the clear cloudless night. The weapons carried by the warriors were completely different. Those strange looking claymores, spears, shields, and blades looked demonic. “This is truly the combination of Ying and Yang, isn’t it…?” Yu-Loong said giving a quiet laugh. “This is going to be a lot of fun fighting against everyone.” He gave a little smirk as he suddenly vanished from their line-of-sight. The group of people was looking at each other with confusion. “He’s up above you guys!” Ferdinandes suddenly yelled at the group. Everyone looked up as Yu-Loong started forming his next weapon. This time, it was a plain bow and a weird looking arrow. The arrow did not have an arrowhead. Instead, there was a small blob of liquid attached to the head. Two halves of a metallic container suddenly enclosed the blob from the top and the bottom. “Explosive arrows!” Yu-Loong yelled as he fired a barrage of the weird arrows at the crowd of heavily armed soldiers. The containers attached to the arrows hit the ground and an enormous explosion erupted. Yu-Loong landed without any problem after he took the twenty-foot leap into the air. “How do you like my nitroglycerin-filled arrows?” Yu-Loong said to the group of people he just blew up. The smoke cleared up after a few seconds. To Yu-Loong’s surprise, no one was even scratched from the enormous explosion. “Wow…despite being bombarded with that many explosives, you guys are still able to stand…this is indeed a fun fight!” ************************************************************************ “Do you want to increase our bet?” Kira suddenly asked Sayuri in the announcement box. “Sure, why not?” Sayuri replied. “If you win, I’ll give you that private room you had been asking for. How does that sound?” Kira asked with a sly grin. “Of course I’ll take you up on that offer,” Sayuri replied in an instant. “What if I lose?” “You will have to wear a maid’s outfit while working under me,” Kira said while bursting out in laughter. Sayuri’s face suddenly turned green at the thought of doing something as embarrassing as that. The loud laughter from Kira woke up the three girls sleeping on the couch. The Geminus twins went right back to sleep as Rahx walked toward the window next to Sayuri and Kira. “What’s with all these noise…?” Rahx mumbled quietly as the rubs her eyes. As she focused her eyes out the window, she sees the eruptions that Yu-Loong just created with his special arrows. This drew Rahx’s attention. “How can a mere human like sensei create such great damage?” she asked quietly in her monotonic voice. ************************************************************************ “All of you definitely deserve to be called the ‘school’s strongest fighters’ since you stood up to that barrage without a single scratch,” Yu-Loong said as he tried to catch his breath. He then pushed back his long sleeves and checked his watch. *This is bad. I don’t have a lot of time left before I burn myself out,* Yu-Loong thought to himself. His fifteen minutes are running out and the group of fighter who stands before him is tougher than he imagined. “What do you think of our expert fighters, sensei?” Kurogane asked as he laughed out loud at the predicament facing Yu-Loong. “For you to bring something like this out, you must really hate me,” Yu-Loong answered as he gives a smirk showing his enjoyment under the pressure. “If you don’t use this little army of yours, I wonder if you could win against me at all.” “Don’t think we didn’t figure out your little strategy, sensei,” Ferdinandes suddenly said as he pushed up his glasses. “You are trying to carry out this conversation to recover your stamina. It wouldn’t work.” He suddenly threw his right hand out and yelled, “All archers, ready your arrows! Fire at coordinate X:52 Y:158!” All the archers suddenly pointed their arrows right at the specific coordinate and shot their arrows. The arrows rained down on Yu-Loong as he turned his bow into his usual staff and tried to deflect every one of them. The first wave of arrows nearly shattered his staff and scratched his body up. *Those are some special arrows if they are able to penetrate my defense,* Yu-Loong thought as he tried to regain his balance. He then bends down to take a closer look at the arrows. *These are silver arrows. The density is different from normal iron or steel arrows I’m used to deflecting. I should be prepared for anything they throw at me from this point out.* “It’s time for a little counterattack!” Yu-Loong yelled as he charged forth toward the line of heavily-armed soldiers. The warriors pointed their enormous blades at the teacher. With a flash of sparks caused by the two opposing forces, the staff shattered and the teacher was thrown about a hundred feet backward. “You call that a counterattack, sensei?!” Kurogane yelled out as he laughed. “You aren’t even trying anymore!” “I wasn’t aiming for damaging your little troop,” Yu-Loong said as he climbed out of the crater and struggle a little to regain his balance. “Elemental…Barrage…” Yu-Loong said as he pants heavily, “Rain of Steel!” Arrows fully made out of steel started to solidify in midair and rained down on the troops. The arrows suddenly changed directions right before they make contact and started flying around wildly. “What kind of attack is that?!” Ferdinandes questioned as he tried to take a closer look. “That is something I created just now,” Yu-Loong answered as he tried to catch his breath. “You will find out how it works in a moment.” Right as he finished his sentence, five arrows stabbed into one of the warrior’s thick armor at the same time. It cracked and exposed a small section of flesh. Another arrow soon stabbed into the flesh and the warrior fell to the ground. “It impossible to shatter armor as thick as that!” Ferdinandes yelled out furiously. “What sort of trickery is this?!” “My arrows are filled with tranquilizers,” Yu-Loong said as he started to wobble and fell to the ground. “When my staff shattered, I use the particles to create a magnetic field and controlled their movements with my alchemy. By shifting them and forming paths with them, my steel arrows can travel around like they did. When I make the arrows hit their armor at the same time, the concentrated force breaks through the metal.” Yu-Loong finished his explanation and started to take some deep breaths. The arrows which were still flying around suddenly fell onto the ground since Yu-Loong didn’t have the energy to control his alchemy anymore. “We have enough of your tricks!” Kurogane yelled. “We will now put an end to this fight!” He then told the remaining troops to advance and put an end to Yu-Loong’s life. ************************************************************************ “We should really stop the fight now,” Kira said suddenly after witnessing Yu-Loong fell. “If this continues, they might really kill him.” Sayuri had an uncertain face on her. *What should I do? If we stop this fight, I would have to serve under Superintendent Kira while wearing a maid outfit for a year…* she thought to herself. “This is getting out of hand. If we don’t do something, this is not going to end nicely,” Kira said to Sayuri with a serious expression. “Remember, your beloved Ryuga is still in Yu-Loong’s body. If the host of the body dies, it would be the end for both of them.” “It doesn’t look like you need to stop them…” Rahx suddenly said. “He just stood up like nothing happened.” The two quickly rushed to the window and looked out to the battlefield. Yu-Loong stood there with complete balance and his wounds started to close up. “Wasn’t he covered in cuts and bruises a few seconds ago?” Kira asked as he stared at the situation in awe. ************************************************************************ *You really are useless,* a voice spoke out to Yu-Loong when he cut off his control on the arrows. *Weren’t you beating them down like they were nothing just a few minutes ago?* *Yes…I was…but my stamina just ran out and I can’t even move…* Yu-Loong told the voice in his head. *By the way…who are you?* *You forgotten about me already?* asked the voice. *We really need to do something about your memory one of these days. As for now, let me, Seiryuu, take over your body. I’ll finish them off in a bit.* *You are not to kill anyone in the process, you got that?* Yu-Loong told Seiryuu in a serious tone. *No matter what, they are still students in this school and they are strong fighters who can hold their grounds under the invasions.* *I got it,* Seiryuu told Yu-Loong. *Before you let me get into the fight, I need you to create the Kusanagi blade I used against you during your trial.* Yu-Loong stood up and conjured up the blade just Seiryuu told him to with his last ounce of strength. *There you go. I need to take a little break now,* Yu-Loong told Seiryuu as he losses consciousness and the Heavenly Dragon takes over his body. |

I'm reading them slowly, so that I don't overload. I just finished episode 4. I like where this might be going. Sayuri interests me as a character. On an even more important note, the combat style of the main character is especially original and fun to experience.

Chapter 12
Light of Destruction ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** An intense bright light engulfed the room. All fighters and spectators were blinded by this phenomenon. “This is the complete opposite of what happened to Yu-Loong when he first came to school…” said Kira in awe. “This can only mean one thing,” said Sayuri as she clenched her fists. “He is finally going to show himself.” ************************************************************************ Down in the battlefield, Yu-Loong’s appearance started to change. His hair grew longer and longer as the color turned from black to gold. The color of his eyes became sky blue and his white armor started to materialize out of thin air. A completely different looking person now stood before the group of fighters. “So this is all there is left of you guys?” Seiryuu asked in an indifferent tone. The transformation was very successful. All the woulds Yu-Loong accumulated during the fight has completely evaporated. It looked as if a completely different person had arrived at the battlefield. “Wh…who the heck are you?!” Kurogane asked angrily. Everyone was shocked at what happened. “Nero, you’re the portal master here! Explain what he just did there now!” “I…I don’t know. He did not open up any sort of portals at all. I cannot find any trace of dimensional magic in this entire area. His presence is still here apparently, but it is very faint,” Nero explained. “So who the heck is he?!” Kurogane got angry and started yelling again. Seiryuu started walking forward as he started to explain the situation. “My name is Seiryuu. I am one of the souls who reside in your sensei’s body. Currently, I am here to take the place of this body’s host in battle. I grant you all a chance to back down right now, please accept it. If you refuse, I will not guarantee if you will come out of this fight alive.” Kurogane felt like he was being looked down on. “Don’t get too cocky, kid! You are up against the school’s strongest fighting force right now if you didn’t know!” Kurogane lets out a burst of laughter as he looked down on Seiryuu. “I don’t care what your name is. Whoever you are, you will soon be bowing before my greatness!” “I highly doubt it,” Seiryuu said it in a tone which sends chills up everyone’s spine. “I am not as kind as your teacher. He was holding back a lot of his true strength because he was afraid of hurting all of you. I, however, am different. Whoever opposes me will be destroyed.” The enormous aura behind Seiryuu pushed the high-ranked fighters back with each step forward. He suddenly stopped advancing after his tenth step. With a slight sigh, he started, “Since I promised your sensei, I will not be killing any of you but I never said I will not hurt you. Now, this is going to be my last warning before I start getting serious. Back down now and leave or else I will be forced to cut all of you down.” Kurogane felt shame with each step back. *I’m supposed to be the leader of the school’s strongest fighting force. Why am I afraid of a human like him?!* he thought as he tried to force back the pressure. “All soldiers, leaders, and vice-leaders, take aim! Focus all attacks on that bastard right now! Show him why we are the school’s strongest!” Kurogane yelled as he picked up his thick Dark-Iron Staff and charged forward with all the other warriors behind him. Ferdinandes picked up his enchanted silver arrows and bow and told every archer left to take aim and fire a full volley at Seiryuu. The rain of silvery arrows poured down on Seiryuu and exploded, creating large puffs of dust. Right as the thick dust started to cleared, the frontline warriors lead by Kurogane rushed forward and slashed down on Seiryuu with full force. There was a bright spark as all the warriors stood there trying to force their weapons down. “You don’t get it, do you?” Seiryuu asked in his cold voice as the dust finally cleared. He stood in front of the warriors with one hand holding his sword while it guarded against ten enormous blades and Kurogane’s staff. “Even if you say you are the strongest fighters in school, it doesn’t mean you are the strongest fighters overall. I shall show you what level you need to reach before using the word ‘strongest’ again.” Seiryuu suddenly somersaulted backward five times and rushed forward. When he let go of his sword, the frontline soldiers fell down. They tried to regain their balance but it was too late. Seiryuu suddenly spread his pure white wings and glided at a fast speed toward the group. With a streak of light, all the warriors were paralyzed. “This is what you get for trying to go up against someone who is completely out of your league.” Seiryuu suddenly sheathed his sword and mumbled, “Wu Long Den Tian, Di Yi Zhao. Po Ghan Zi Guan! (五龍升天, 第一技. 破鋼之光 Five Dragon Rises to Heaven, First Technique. Steel-Breaking Light!)” The warriors hit the ground with a loud thump and blood started running out of their bodies from their abdomen as their armor shattered into pieces. “It’s time to take out the range fighters,” Seiryuu said as he turned his head toward the group of archer. Ferdinandes grabbed what’s left in his quiver and told the whole squad to do the same. “Release all limitations on your arrows now! If he hits us, we are done for!” he yelled as he tried to prepare the archers for a final round of volley. They hurried and released all limits on their enchanted arrows. ************************************************************************ “Is it wise to continue this fight?” Sayuri asked Kira. “Yes, but if we go down right now, we are going to get caught in the crossfire,” Kira replied with a sigh. “Let’s just enjoy the last bit of the fight like Rahx over there.” Rahx was not interested in the fight currently. She kept staring at the transformation of Yu-Loong. “I’ve finally found my life partner,” she mumbled. ************************************************************************ “You are still going to put up a fight after seeing the fall of your frontline soldiers I see,” Seiryuu said to the archers who are now ready to fire their bows. He then took a look at the group and sees Angelus, Ferdinandes’ sister. “There’s a girl amongst the group,” he mumbled. After taking in a big sigh, he raised his head and yelled out, “Hey, you! The girl over there with all the other guys! Are you sure you are not going to back down from this fight?! My next attack might shatter all the bones in your body, you know?!” “I don’t care!” the Angelus yelled out. “I am going to make you pay for what you did to me back in the girl’s dorm!” “If you say so,” answered Seiryuu as he gets into basic kendo stance. He then drew his Kusanagi up to the right side of his head and pointed the tip right at the group with the edge pointing upward. The archers fired their arrows right on Ferdinandes’ command. Just before the arrows made contact, Seiryuu rushed forward with a fast sprint and avoided all the arrows coming straight at him. The arrows suddenly curved around and started chasing Seiryuu. “What’s this?” mumbled Seiryuu. “Are you surprised?” Ferdinandes asked as he puts on a grin and pushed up his glasses. “Those are special enchanted arrows which will chase after the target until they hit it.” “Is that so?” Seiryuu said as he looked back at the arrows chasing him. “If that’s the case, I just have to destroy them with one head on attack.” He suddenly stopped running and jumped straight up. The arrows bend upward and chased after Seiryuu. “This is the end for you!” Ferdinandes yelled. Seiryuu only gave him a smile and did a flip in the air. The arrows nearly touched him as he does so. As he landed on the ground, the arrows swings back down and started chasing after Seiryuu again. Without showing any expression, Seiryuu started running away from the archers as the arrows curved downward as they homed in on their target. Right before he hits the wall, Seiryuu turned around and got into his stance again. He held up his sword as a weird light started gathering around the tip of the blade. “Wu Long Den Tian, Di Er Zhao. Qing Long Pao! (五龍升天, 第二技. 青龍炮! Five Dragon Rises to Heaven, Second Technique. Blast of the Azure Dragon!)” Seiryuu released the blast as he yelled out the attack and stabbed his sword forward. The condensed orb of light suddenly released the energy and a surge of energy burst forward. All the arrows made contact with the beam of light and were disintegrated into dust. The archers looked helplessly at the ray as it approached them at a great speed. “Angelus, get out of the way!” Ferdinandes yelled as he pushed his sister out of the blast radius. “DISPERSE!” Seiryuu suddenly yelled as the ray of light turned into several thin rods and pierced the bow wielders. Everyone collapsed to the ground as they felt the great pain. Even if the arrows did not cause a fatal wound, the soldiers were all starting to look pale from the loss of blood. Angelus looked at the pools of blood in shock as Seiryuu walked toward her. “And then there was one…” Seiryuu mumbled in a cold voice as he started walking toward her. “That’s enough, Seiryuu-sama,” Kira said as he approached Seiryuu from behind while clapping. “I wouldn’t mind if you continue but that is one of my students. I have to stop this fight now.” “I haven’t seen you in a long time, Lohan Staff master, Kira,” Seiryuu said as he slowly turned around. He sees Sayuri and Rahx coming up from behind as well. “Why are there demons from the dark realm here with you?” Seiryuu questioned Kira. “There are some demons who are willing to help fight on your side too, you know,” Kira sighed as he tried to explain to Seiryuu. “You are still the same as always; thickheaded, stubborn, and too filled with pride.” “I apologize for being rude but I’m just not used to being around demons,” Seiryuu explained. He suddenly felt someone staring at him. As he looked down, he saw little Rahx looking up at him. “What business do you have with me, demon?” Seiryuu demanded in his ice cold voice. Rahx suddenly gave him a hug. “I’ve finally someone who is like me,” she said in a low voice. “Someone who is like you?” Seiryuu asked the little succubus clinging on to him. “I don’t know what you are talking about. You better explain yourself in three seconds before I destroy you.” “Aren’t you a fallen devil?” Rahx asked with her empty yet cute look. “A what?!” Seiryuu asked as his voice deepened and became more serious than he was. He then looked at Kira to see if he had an explanation. “Look behind you,” Kira replied as he pointed at Seiryuu’s back. He was on the verge of laughing out loud. “Behind me?” Seiryuu asked. “I don’t see anything weird behind me.” “Pff…Try opening up your wings and take a look,” Sayuri said as she started to laugh. Seiryuu spread his wings open and saw his pure white wings were in the shape similar to that of a devil’s. “How can this be? What sort of prank is this?” Seiryuu asked furiously. “*It’s no joke man,* Ryuga replied Seiryuu’s question in his head. *Due to us sharing the same body, it looked like the forms of our wings were switched. My wings looked like a fallen angel’s.” *I will not stand for this!* Seiryuu yelled at Ryuga. The way Seiryuu was arguing with his inner counterparts was making the others laugh. *Well, I don’t know how to reverse this effect. You would just have to deal with the little succubus clinging onto me. I wouldn’t let you hurt one of my own kind and I doubt Yu-Loong would be happy about you killing one of his students.* Ryuga told Seiryuu as he laughed. *Then what should I do?* Seiryuu asked and demanded an answer from Ryuga. *I don’t know. Maybe you should start developing a Lolita complex so you won’t feel awkward about having a little girl clinging to you like this,” Ryuga said as he burst out in laughter. “Uhh, Seiryuu-sama,” Kira suddenly cut in on Seiryuu’s little argument with Ryuga. “I don’t mind the fact that you are arguing with Ryuga-sama, but can you please heal up all the students you hurt both physically and mentally?” “Alright, I’ll heal them all up in a few seconds,” Seiryuu said as he started chanting a light spell. A blinding light filled the room once again and all the warriors who were on the verge of death suddenly got up from the ground with no wounds. Angelus who got traumatized from seeing her brother dying in pain also got up as if nothing had happened. “That should do it. I’m tired so I’ll be heading to your office lounge,” he said as he walked toward the elevator and left the battlefield. “This is my win, Superintendent Kira,” Sayuri said to Kira as she puts on a big grin. Kira sighed and put on a smile. “I’ll arrange everything for you. Don’t worry,” Kira answered with a sigh of relief. ************************************************************************ The next morning, the school seems rowdier than usual. Yu-Loong walked past the school’s baseball field as students around him whispered to each other as if they are passing around a rumor. Yu-Loong scratched his head as he walked toward the main school building. *I hope the students did not find out about that little fight I had yesterday,* he thought to himself. A group of male students suddenly appeared in front of him and blocked his path. It was the school’s patrol force. Kurogane stood in front with his arms crossed and his usual angry looking face. *Did I get myself into another jam?* Yu-Loong thought to himself. The group of students suddenly kneeled down in front of him. “We admit defeat. You were the winner of the battle yesterday. Please take us in as your disciple in the arts of fighting please. We still have a lot to learn,” Kurogane said with his head on the ground. Everyone in the patrol squad was there, even Angelus. Rahx suddenly came up from behind Yu-Loong and hugged him. “Sensei, will you let me meet him again?” she asked in her usual monotonic voice. The situation was getting out of control. “What the heck happened yesterday after I passed out?!” Yu-Loong asked out loud after having to deal with all the frustration build up inside of him. Chapter 13 The Lone Wolf ** Spoiler Alert!!! click to hide or show** “Looks like the Seiryuu faction is gaining power,” said a dark figure who sat on top of a throne. “The prophecy is going into stage two it seems. It’s time to test our Dark Dragon Lord, Seiryuu.” He suddenly stood up as a group of armed warriors walked into the room. “Lord Byako. We, the renegade team of the western forest, await your order,” said the leader of the group as they all kneeled down in front of the dark shadow who is apparently the Black Tiger Lord, Dark Byako. The small group looked well-armed with chain mails and long spears. Their leader had a large scar over his left eye and his body looked torn up with all the battle scars. “Kenga, you have failed me once when you led the raid against the head of the school. You didn’t manage to kill him and your platoon was defeated by another man. The next time you fail, you will be sentenced to death,” said Byako as he stepped out of the shadow and looked down at his small platoon. His messy black hair reached all the way down to the ground. The piercing bloodshot eyes of his lid up the darkness behind him with a suffocating aura filled with pride and the desire to kill. Standing at about six foot five, a muscle packed body fitted in his black armor, and two sharp claws strapped to his arms, he looked more like a large panther standing on its hind legs. “Go forth and destroy the school where the dragon resides, Kenga. Bring me his head!” Byako yelled as he sat back down in his throne. “Yes sir!” Kenga stood up and said with a bow before he made his exit. *I will test how much the newly awakened dragon fare in power,* Byako thought to himself as his demonic laughter echoed the halls. ************************************************************************ “Troops, I’ve made a little adjustment to all your weapons,” Yu-Loong told the patrol group as they lined up for their pre-dinner training. The archers’ bows got remade into a two sided sword while the warrior weapons still looked the same. “Now, the archers will be learning frontline combat techniques while the warriors will be focusing on their aim,” Yu-Loong stated. The entire platoon looked at each other in confusion and wanted to ignore Yu-Loong’s instructions. Who could blame them, since two days ago, the troops wanted Yu-Loong dead and now they are training under him. “What is the point of this, Fang-sensei?” Kurogane suddenly asked the instructor. “We picked the frontline and rangers by looking at everyone’s ability, we should be homing our skills at what we are best at.” “And that is your biggest problem, Kurogane-kun,” Yu-Loong replied. If I was to use a range attack on your frontline and fight your archers in a close-up battle, they would not be able to defend themselves. I’ve seen that problem during our fight. Also, special explosive devices are not a good idea since range attackers with detectors and disarmers can destroy them without getting close to them or setting them off.” The squad nodded in agreement. They knew their weakness but never worked on it since they learned to rely on others for backup. Kurogane and Ferdinandes both agreed with the reason Yu-Loong gave them as well. “So what’s the point of today’s training?” Ferdinandes asked as he pushed up his glasses. There was still some doubts between him and the new teacher since Seiryuu took over Yu-Loong’s body and almost killed everyone in a bloody mess. Angelus clings onto her brother’s back since she is still a little afraid of that incident. Yu-Loong just put up his usual smile and said, “Today’s training is easy. I will divide each group into two. One group will have the archers instructing the warriors on how to aim while the other group will focus on teaching the archers melee combat. These weapons are specially made as well. The new bows’ strings can be detached and reattached in easily. There is a special switch on them which allow the archer to break off the string or restring the bow. Just push it up to detach the string and down to restring. It is all done automatically.” He then turned toward the warriors holding their weapons and started telling them about the function of their weapons. “I did not change the appearance of your weapons since it is pointless to do so. However, I asked the enchanters from the school to make your weapons able to focus magical energy into a single point. Since I heard that you warrior types do not have a lot of magical energy to spare, the weapon’s new enhancement will amplify that energy of yours and allow you to fire rounds of magical attacks at your enemies. Kurogane-kun, why don’t you try it out?” Yu-Loong asked the leader of the squad. “Sure, I guess…” Kurogane said in an uncertain tone. He was never good at controlling his magical energy, and with the enchantment incident from a year ago, he was a little afraid to try out the new weapon. He shook off the thought as he holds his thick staff on his shoulder and start putting in some of his energy into the staff. The energy he put in was more than enough and the blast shot off from the staff exploded in the sky a hundred meters above them. “Woah…” That was all Kurogane could say as he looked at the result. Yu-Loong turned toward the groups who were staring with awe. “Shall we get the training started?” he asked with a smile. The groups got into pairs and worked with each other as the teacher walks around giving each individual some suggestions. “Who would’ve guessed that Fang-sensei is so knowledgeable in the filed of battle, huh?” Kurogane asked Ferdinandes as he gives off a smirk. “Yes, he does not look like the fighter type, yet he has such great knowledge in fighting,” Ferdinandes said as he pushed his glasses up. “By the way, try aiming a little lower, taichou. And try putting a little less mana into your weapon. You are going to blow up the entire school with that kind of power.” As Ferdinandes eyed over to his little sister, he saw Shirohana Kenshin, the frontline vice-captain, helping her get into a melee stance with the twin-blade bow. They were getting awefully close to each other. “You need to tighten your grip a little bit, and try tightening up your hip too,” Kenshin told Angelus as he patted her on the hip. A sudden chill ran down his spine as he looked over to where Ferdinandes was standing. He saw the archer captain staring at him with an intension to kill him in the bloodiest way possible. The stare made Kenshin turned around and walked away from Angelus. “You’re still the same as usual,” Kurogane said as he lets out a chuckle. “What do you mean?” Ferdinandes said as his anger died down. “I’m talking about your little siscon issue dude,” Kurogane stated with a huge grin on his face. “At least I don’t carry around a picture of the school idol around everyday and kiss it before I go to sleep like someone,” Ferdinandes said as he pushed up his glasses again with a grin. “How do you know about Suzuka’s picture?” Kurogane asked suddenly in surprise. “Would you two stop talking about your personal love life and concentrate on the training before dinner?” Yu-Loong suddenly came up from behind and interrupted their argument. He has a smile on his face, but the aura made it look almost demonic. The two panicked as they saw that smile. “Yes, sir!” the two of them suddenly straightened up and went back to training. ************************************************************************ It was finally dinner time. The troops went into the dining hall for their well deserved feast. “So who will be on watch while we are on break?” Ferdinandes asked Kurogane. “I believe sensei is on first watch. He said he wasn’t hungry and told all of us to hurry up and go get our food,” Kurogane answered as he stuffed his mouth full of bread. “Don’t worry so much! If it is sensei, he should be able to handle himself!” Kurogane said after he swallowed his mouth full of food and let out a laugh. “I guess you are right,” Ferdinandes said as Kurogane patted his back hard. ************************************************************************ “Did you guys hear about what happened to the patrol squad?” asked one of the girls in Yu-Loong’s 1-B class. It was Shinamori Aoka, the head of the newspaper club. Her short red hair was tied up in a small ponytail and she wore a camera around her neck at all times. Her clothes were a bit revealing compare to the other girls since she only wore a tank top which reveals her abdomen and a pair of short shorts. “I heard that our sensei beat everyone in a duel and now they looked up to him as their head.” Shirogane Hakuren, another one of the newspaper members, started to tell others about the rumors she heard as well. “What I heard was sensei saved the group from being destroyed by a demon that hid in the school.” The rumors kept spreading like a plague. Everyone had their own different version of the story. “By the way, where is sensei?” Suzuka asked suddenly as she walked in with Kira. “He is on patrol right now he said,” Kurogane turned around and answered Suzuka. His face was covered with the food he was eating. “He’s out there alone?” Kira asked as Suzuka suddenly pushed her tray at Kira and ran out to check on Yu-Loong. “He should be able to take care of himself since he could be count as the school’s second strongest fighter right now,” Ferdinandes said as he wiped his mouth with his napkin. ************************************************************************ Right after Yu-Loong sends everyone to the cafeteria to get their dinner, he walked toward the school’s front gate. “I know you guys are hiding out there. Just come out already. It’s just me and you guys now!” Yu-Loong yelled out as he stood in front of the school’s gate. About twenty Night Beasts and one large human looking beast came out from behind the trees and bushes. “So you were the ones spying on us while we trained I’m guessing,” Yu-Loong said as he looked at the group of Night Beasts from the Dark Byako Army. “I didn’t expect to see you again big guy.” “Byako-sama is giving me a second chance. I am not going to mess up this time,” said Kenga, the leader of the small troop. “By the way, my name is Kenga. Remember that name when I send you to the depths of hell!” He suddenly yelled as he raised his right hand up signaling his troops to attack. Twenty wolf-looking beasts charged toward the teacher who stood in front of the school’s gate. Their razor sharp teeth were covered with their slimy drool while their bloodshot eyes shined with a desire to kill. Yu-Loong let out a deep sigh as he twisted his wooden bo staff into its place. “This is not a large improvement from what you send out last time,” he said as he spin and passed his staff around from back and forth between his sides. Right as the beasts were about to reached him with their claw, he stopped and swung his staff in an arc from his left with his right hand. Three beasts that made contact with the staff had their necks broken as they were flung back ten yards. The beasts stopped their charge when they saw their brethren thrown and Yu-Loong spin around for another attack. “That was a good attack. I cannot believe you didn’t need any magical items to aid you in a fight against my beasts. What attack was that?” Kenga asked as he stepped forward a bit. He was taller than Kurogane and looked stronger as well. His face looked like a wolf. With a large club on his back and a large armor mounted on him, he looked like the demons from the Oni clan. “It was just normal Chinese martial arts. Shaolin Shi Ba Lou Han Gun (少林十八羅漢棍 Shaolin Staff of the Eighteen Louhan). That was just one of the basic forms,” Yu-Loong said as he sends Kenga an angered stare. Kenga backed up a few steps due to the large amount of pressure placed on him. He managed to fight the aura back with his own and stood his ground. “You sure had improved since last time. This is going to be an interesting fight. What is your name, young one?” Kenga said as he laughed. “Don’t you dare call me ‘young one’ when you are just a fledgling yourself. The name is Fang Yu-Loong! I will be your opponent!” Yu-Loong said as he got into his stance. The tip of his staff pointed at Kenga as he looked around at the wolves’ movements. “I will destroy anyone who means my students’ harm. If you don’t want this place to be your final resting spot, please back off now,” Yu-Loong said as he gave them all a smile. “Don’t get so full of yourself!” Kenga yelled as he launched forward, swung his club back and got ready for his attack. ************************************************************************ *Where is Fang-sensei? The school does not tolerate anyone being alone at all times, not even the teachers,* Suzuka thought as she ran around the school looking for Yu-Loong. |
