Playing the Game? ^^

Still working on the coloring - Yesterday my aging Mac went down and stayed down, so I wasn't able to work on anything. I really just need to get a Wacom table and the proper drivers and do this stuff from home. As far as graphic design goes, make sure you don't end up with carpal tunnel or tennis elbow, both inflammatory conditions that occur in those of us who design on computers a little too much and take too few breaks during the day.

Another two weeks and I'll have time to actually get down to drawing the four boys in full poses. I'm staring longingly at my drawing table and malevolently at my textbooks.

Heya - sorry for the silence. Class is nearly done - I've probably earned a 'B', which I can live with, since the class is on applied mathematics and it isn't something I do on a daily basis. Had to spend 16 hours on Saturday and ten on Sunday to get things finished up to turn in. Final grade on the paper and the extra credit we did will hopefully pay off. Still have the work for this week, but its light stuff.

Things are slow now at work - very little to do except sit there. So I'm going to be hitting your picture hard tomorrow and hopefully will have some preliminaries to show yo in a day or two. I've actually picked up a book cover job that wandered through the door, mostly an abstract piece, so I have to have some roughs to show the guy tomorrow as far as a logo is concerned. He's got some abstract cover art that uses the same typefaces that everyone else is using right now and has used some serious Photoshop filters as cheats. I looked at it and told the guy I could probably come up with something that didn't look like everything else out there.

Regarding your sketch of Hyuga, I've done some inking on the piece to thicken some of the lines. When I do the underpainting and apply the textures to the blanket, the back wall and such, I need to be able to get the placement of the dark parts,without having to worry about the finer lines being lost if I try to take the line drawing to grayscale and then to a solid black. I did maybe two ads today, as there just wasn't any work coming into the old system, which we are trying to clean up now. So rather than being bored for eight hours, I got some stuff done today on Hyuga and again, will hit this hard tomorrow. I'm considering using a scan of real marble for the background, or at least use a couple of example samples I have lying aroung for the backdrop. I want to really do a good job on this for you and I'm sorry this has taken so long. My apologies.

Sure! This is the low resolution version - I also have it as an 7"x11" inch (horiz) pic at 300 dpi. Suitable dpi for printing, if so desired. Problem is, it's at work and I have to dig out my key drive and take it in to copy it and bring it back - I can't email it back because we have some pretty tough firewalls and anything over a certain size won't go through. I can try to email the higher res version later tomorrow.

Class will be officially over in a couple of days and I'm going to spend some time tomorrow and this evening working on a couple of sketches of the NAA characters for the preliminary work I spoke to you about. I also have the VERY large Photoshop files I used to create the larger colored version. I found that I simply did not have enough room on my flash drive to bring the big stuff home, so I'll try with an emply flash drive tommorrow. You are welcome to the layered file as well if you like - you can get an idea of how I work from it. It's huge, BTW - at least 224 MB, at 600 dpi. However, when you work at that size and then shrink it by 1/2 as far as .dpi, a lot of imperfections simply go away, or soften out and become unnoticeable.

Thanks for the compliment - it's nice to hear that someone likes my work, since I don't get to hear it at work and I haven't had much time of late to design anything outside of work.

I was going to see if the hubby was able to get a mod box for the PS2 that he has and if so, whether I could rig it to play Region 2 games. Then I'd have to see if the Hook software would work with a Koei game, so that I could at least know what was going on. I'm rather proud of myself - I watched eps. 7 raw and managed to understand about 1/2 of what was being said and putting it into context. So there is hope after all of me being able to understand what is being said in the games. The kanji is another story.

where did you get the walkthrough to this game...how do you play it...i saw the game preview and its really difficult when i imagine myself playing that game

First of all... When I began playing, I didn't look at any walkthrough... I tried it by myself, and tried to understand the guide book inside the CD cover... ==;; I got Rayne, and then Hyuga... and JaDe last. But I couldn't seem to get Nyx, and Bernard, and Rene... at all, so I asked a Japanese friend to find me the walkthrough. It was ALL written in Japanese and it was HELL trying to understand it. Like Corda, NAA is also HIGHLY RANDOMIZED so what you play today MAY NOT BE what you play tomorrow. Everyday it's a different story. So while looking at the walkthrough, I also have to find MY OWN WAYS to win the game. ^^ So if you want to play it, just play it by heart. Looking at walkthroughs won't help unless you can understand them, or only if you're playing VIRTUAL NOVEL otome games (like Abby-neesan said, VIRTUAL NOVELS are just Animes with choices... it's easier and you don't need any walkthrough~).

really!!! so neo ange is highly randomized....well anyways i don't have a guide book like you so unfortunately for me if i'm gonna play neo ange on psp by sem break...and when i first play la corda i kinda understand the game although my first try of the game i didn't end up with the guys because i didn't try to raise the affection meter but the rivalry meter not both...speaking of which how do you get those ending with the guys? do you always have to talk to the characters or fight alongside with them just to raise their affection to you?

If you have questions you can ask me. I know how to make all endings and stuff. I played the game a lot of times xD
