I think it was dubbed by someone else. His mouth didnt go well with the sound. It didnt match at all, and I dont think VEOH blocked Philippines. How is Philippines even close to the "r" in rich?

Also note that Guam was blocked! And for all those who does not know, Guam is a part of US. So basically, this video is NOT credible at all!

Places that were blocked:
Lebanon, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Indonesia, Chile, Argentina, St. Kitts and Nevis, Guatemala, Luxembourg, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Guam, Jamaica, Barbados, El Salvador, Hungary, Malta, Macedonia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Colombia, Cyprus, Romania, the Cayman Islands, Guadeloupe, Saudi Arabia, Peru, Panama, Czech Republic, Turkey, Croatia, Lithuania, Jordan, Egypt, Bulgaria, Serbia, Iceland, Bermuda, Thailand, Brunei, Honduras, Bahamas, and Nicaragua.

I think it's because Philippines is a long-time ally by the USA... rofl...

EDIT:

even Guam? wtf

They didnt block Japan nor North Korea, and as that video implies, Dimitri only wants English literate and rich countries.

Malaysia is more bountiful than Philippines and is more Englist literate than Japan and Korea, but how was it blocked?

Philippines is not that rich, but it is the 3rd largest English Speaking country in the world, maybe that's the reason.

However, I highly doubt the credibility of that video.

How about India? it's the largest english speaking nation, right?

about the video, it's really a fake one.

Honestly, that video didn't really seem authentic. I doubt the president of a company would speak that heartlessly about the world. His words didn't match his lips, and his voice pitch didn't seem natural. If the video is true, then I would say that he is discriminating harshly. But I have my speculations on the authenticity of the video.

"The Philippines is the third largest English-speaking nation in the world, behind the United States and England.

The abundant supply of English speakers and competitive labor costs have enabled the Philippines to become a choice destination for foreign companies wishing to establish call centers and other outsourcing operations. English proficiency sustains a major call center industry, and as of 2005, America Online (AOL) has 1,000 people in what used to be the US Air Force's Clark Air Base in Angeles City answering ninety percent of their global e-mail inquiries. Citibank does its global ATM programming in the country, and Procter & Gamble has over 400 employees in Makati, a Manila suburb, doing back office work for their Asian operations including finance, accounting, Human Resources and payments processing. See Call center industry in the Philippines.

An influx of foreign students, principally from Korea, has also lead to growth in the number of English language centers, especially in Metro Manila, Baguio City and Metro Cebu."

Im not sure if it's a credible info, but that's the limit of my knowledge.

I doubt the video is real, if he really said those things he'd be known as a racist among other things. People would really get back at him if he did truly say that, I'm sure someone dubbed it over with words that they thought fit better. But no one would openly say all of that anti-country stuff without caring what effects it would have on their company even if he was thinking it perhaps. Most likely he's just a big idiot that thinks everyone on the internet is dumb or something, and anyway what does it matter if they speak English or have money? It's not a forum really, and it's only to watch videos, also they often have Japanese or other country's content on them. I really don't see the sense in blocking all those countries. He must be the biggest idiot ever to do that. And if he really said all those things I'm sure he'd somehow get some very angry comments about the matter and veoh would suffer incredibly. Which he'd deserve every moment of it since he was the one who said the racist things in the first place. But to me it seems like it was dubbed over, so I can only comment that blocking that many countries was really stupid.

I still believe that India is the largest English-speaking nation in Asia and second largest English speaking nation in the world.

@topic
it's not a good reason that Philippines is not blocked by Veoh because it is the 3rd largest English-speaking nation.
there is really something that makes that nerdy Veoh founder think that Philippines and other 32 countries should not be blocked.

Crunchyroll should start this (not with just the videos, just the whole site as a whole)
