Has anyone watched the webcasts of E3. it looks dull and the presenters are fishing/pausing for applause for their weak lineups. granted there have been weaker games and news in previous E3s but it seems like this new format sucked the soul of the spirit of gamers. this show was for gamers and now its for uptight suits who've never played a video game until they were blessed to work for a VG company. next thing you know, ComiCon will turn into the same thing (worse case scenario, will never happen imho). =)

Comic Con has changed. All people talk about is movie news, and hardly mention all of the neat stuff happening in comics, like which company gets best artists and writers. I want to see an interview with Warren Ellis, over say, David Jaffe, at Comic Con.

The only game that seems to garner much interest from me is Resident Evil 5, and it's only because I loved RE4 so much (and the new co-op mode is a definite plus). Prince of Persia seems interesting, but they really need to do something new with the franchise.

They did do something new with it, I watched the demo this time They made it where theres more acrobats and new graphics, but really now you have some helper chick to expand gameplay, and EVERY LAST FIGHT is as epic as a boss fight, here let me link you.

That is not a boss fight, that is a ENEMY lol.

That's a normal enemy seriously? I remember watching this and thought it really was a boss fight. From the demo there it seems they added a partner system, although she doesn't seem to help you out in combat and only help you in certain parts of platforming when it involves those glowing orbs. Feels a bit gimmicky to me. Still, I do have an interest in this which is alot more than what can be said for the majority of the other games.

Well, from what I was watching she was helping you in battle but nothing spectacular, I think it really looked beautiful, and the platforming is somewhat tweaked to involve her (they basically explained her as being your bitch, just around to make you cooler and feel better about yourself)

i agree....i went last year and it felt more or less like a movie teaser event. comicon has become hollywood but not in a good way. its cool when they let the fans know about comic book movies and what not, but the biggest buzz last year was steven spielberg and harrison ford for the indy flick. gimmie a break! the atmosphere is still fan based which i loved i.e. cosplayers, swag, toys and comics!

Yeah. I remember on G4, they had some asshole from a news magazine saying that no body cared about comics anymore, just movie news. I thought that was bullshit. I couldn't care less about movies, I want to know what new books Mark Millar has coming out , not what Harrison Ford has to say about anything.

no kidding! we get enough movie news on regular tv and newspapes...comicon is the only actual place you can hear about comics and what marvel, dc, etc is up to. At least I found out at comicon that the Watchmen movie is coming out and that was the biggest news for me personally!

Dude, I saw Watchman trailer earlier. I got chills from it, especially listening to Rorschach talk about how he wouldn't save the world.
