Labeling people? I'd rather have a buffalo take a diarrhea dump in my ear. I'd rather eat the rotten @$$ホール of a road killed skunk and down it with beer.

i get labelled all the time, example~ i walked in to a art shop to buy a F pencil (really good for drafts =P) and the first thing the clerk said was "there are some things we dont stock for example, if u where looking for a fat marker (used for grafitti >.>) we dont sell them sorry". i dont really label people but nobody can say that looks dont relate to what i persons first expresion on u mite be

Labels are to make conversations go by faster and to be more blunt than specific. Labels should never be taken personal and accept that the second you put on those clothings; you got yourself a label.

That's why I go around naked.

Labeling people based on appearance may not be accurate but at the same time, you do choose what you wear so your appearance definitely does tell people a bit about your personality.

It appears that your friend is neither "goth" or "prep"

She is a tool.

It's usually true. You can usually judge the kind of person they are to some extent. But you can't really take it seriously or decide on who the person is. But you do often get some idea on the type they are or what their interests are. "USUALLY"
I think I'm stating a brutal, but honest, fact.

I don't care... >.<

I neither think they're stupid or agree to them...

I just think everyone is similar and different, so labels may be for similar behaviour but that doesn't mean they're the same...

i'm guilty of labeling people based on their looks. I wouldn't say it's such a negative thing though. I don't treat "goths" any different than I would treat a prep. But I don't assume that I know everything about that person based on how they look. That's just plain ignorant.
But still if I see someone who looks preppy my expectations of them is to act like a typical prep based on my past experiences on how preps act. It's no big deal. It's just human nature.
