Cool & Spicy releases were also user subs, though professionally done. They dropped the series after about 5 episodes though,

they were user subs? i kinda doubt that since they were also uploaded onto like veoh and such, but that could just be me...i didn't know they dropped it though. lol well guess that explains why they haven't subbed anything for a while ever since 33

Anyone could sub an episode and upload it to veoh

yea but the other person who subbed 34 wasn't uploaded to veoh. ehh whatever though i guess they really are user subs since they don't have a main site.

Oh, Cool & Spicy wasn't originated from Crunchyroll; their episodes were released on sites like AnimeSuki and such, and was professionally distributed.

EDIT: Well, what defines a user sub? Groups such as Formula are also a group of users subbing episodes on a professional level, haha

ohh haha i thought u meant like a crunchyroll user. either way formula subs are the most accurate right now. but did cool & spicy ever release 32? they did 33...hmm it makes me wonder if they were only a group to beat formula subs...

hmmm is that so but wat if the subs r easy to understand??becasue i got a person who knows japanese fluently(kinda)....

It's all about quality. I highly doubt that someone who is only "kinda" fluent in Japanese is going to create better quality subs than a team like Formula, thus it will be moved and replaced. Cool&Spicey as well, as I find that their translations are up-to-par with Formula's (although they need to spend more time editing).

yep about that i need to find some one for it maybe i will ask someone i know

Man, I never knew it was this painful to download a raw

And man, I just spent like 10 minutes timing the first 4 minutes This will be harder than I thought. And I'm even doing rough timing

Thing is, are we actually going to go forward with this project?

I'm not translating it, lol. Anyway, it'll take ages to transfer the raw video between everyone; it'll be easier if you download it yourself.

No it's not, maybe only if you're doing an amateur encoding job. Encoders need to be well versed in avisynth, for one which requires a lot of learning that is made more difficult by the fact that there is really no set tutorial that can teach you all the situations and problems you may run across as an encoder. Since you're just uploading to CR, it doesn't really matter, but in a real fansubbing team, just using VDM or AviRecomp (ew) or whatever is not good enough. I don't mean to be bitchy, but that statement was just so off the mark.

Oh, I guess that's true; it's a pain to learn to fully use and understand Avisynth scripts, and applying them properly to each individual video.
