i mean they're so predictable and most of
the time the actors and actresses are fake.

but to all the fans i'm sorry
if this offended you.

what do you mean by the actors and actresses are fake?

do you mean that actors from other countries are REAL? what does it mean?

most dramas today, Filipino or not, are predictable.

what i'm trying to say
is, is that compared to
other dramas Filipino
ones are the most predictable.
i'm not saying that
its just Filipino dramas that are predictable.

and the thing about the actors and actresses ,
i'm just saying that some of them can't act
(i'm not saying that i can but still)

this is just my opinion.
:)

Predictable for you[and me] coz we grew up watching them..

Anyway, our soaps [as I will always call them] are getting better little by little. :D

yeah thats true.
were learning.
lawl.

Give it a chance, pare.

i dont really think i can.
i mean the actors and actressess
sometimes irrate and annoy me .

are so fake i can't stand it.

WELL if you go those country you might see its airing there..right??
i agree that there are some dramas that aren't good but definitely there are very good dramas..most filipino drama shows the filipino culture like daily life of an ordinary person...so if youre not filipino you might not like it because its new and its different...people are pretty much like that....they dont like "being different"...
i hope you guys get my point!!..

nah..i quite agree with you...not all filipino actors or actresses can act nowadays..but during my time...there are great names...example Dolphy, Nida Blanca, Susan Roces, Vilma Santos, Pilita Corales, etc....these are great artists...as to the storyline..it fit the filipino culture..as korean storyline fits korean culture..japanese storylines fit japanese culture...if a foreigner wants to watch these filipino dramas...then they just have to think that it's not my culture...but probably, it happens this way in their life...who knows?...it is probably most predictable because the artists can't act...take for example the japanese absolute boyfriend..it is predictable...at the first few episodes, i knew immediately that the robot will "fall in love" and that the relationship become a reality...it is just popular because of the handsome actor...who can act(not that good though) ...that's why it's enjoyable to watch...

exactly!
finally someone who agrees with me!
:D
and another reason why
is that most of the actors and actresses
are singers too right?
but most of them aren't original
they sing songs from America.
thats why i'm not so into them
even thoughi'm filipino myself.
like what if a foreigner sees them and
see that they're just singing
the same songs from america?
no one wants to see that.
they want to see the songs that THEY WROTE.
>____<'
i dont think i'll ever understand the actors
and actresses from phillipines.
:T

i think you will understand if you understand you're own culture...it used to be that filipino artists sings and dance filipino songs and dances...but then everybody was criticizing it as "Bakya"...it won't sell..you see..to be brutally frank and honest...the filipinos have colonial mentality...we think everything american, spaniards, chinese or japanese are good...everything foreign are good except locally made...we are not proud of ourselves...that's why all the artists try hard to be other than themselves...for money and fame...sad but true..another factor...filipinos are lazy...not all, but most of us...we can't be bothered to be have our own initiative...we have the "Bahala na" mentality ...we don't have the drive to excel, we are contented to be mediocre...as long as we have 3 meals a day, have a house to live, have a little luxury...life is good already...no ambition at all...those who have ambition...live abroad...

Friends, as much as i enjoy your exchange of opinion, YOU'RE OFF TOPIC.
The thread is "What Fdramas are aired/played/shown in other countries aside from the Philippines?"

I know the most recent is Sana Maulit Muli, which was chinese-dubbed [which i find awesome] in Taiwan.
Usually, Filipinos are the ones importing and dubbing the Asian dramas, but luckily, our Fdramas are starting to be imported and dubbed in other nations... implying that we're probably getting good with our Fdramas.

What other Fdramas are shown anywhere else?

no offence to you too, but uhmm.. MOST dramas are VERY predictable..
v__v" but then again.. if its gets too unpredictable, that's just confusing..
i.e. American dramas.. that's why i dnt watch them.
like yenno? there's a limit when a drama gets TOO predictable and TOO unpredictable
just too confusing.. :\ and uhmm..

aslo: what do u mean my actors and actresses are fake? like they dont act like stars or
their acting isn't convincing? ahha.. i unno if u are but to me.. Ella Chen's acting is not
very convincing esp in HanaKimi (sorry no offence to the HK Twversion fans.)
soo uhmm.. yeahh..

yenno in honest truth, i like filipino movies better than filipino dramas. :\

what are you trying to imply that asian dramas aren't predictable pleasee there are alot of asian dramas that are predictable...no drama is perfect and if you just come here to criticized Filipino drama then your more of a low life seeker that wants attention....

LMAO "low life seeker" ..

Well yeah, lots of dramas are predictable indeed, but yeah, the acting is pretty bad >.<
The "fake" acting I mainly notice in asian dramas are in stunts, fighting scenes, and kissing scenes >.<

But even screaming / crying in Filipino dramas are so fake >.<

Fdrama's are so long. the story line are so dragging...(grabe.)
The problem with the Fdramas is it's patterned with mexican/latin soaps... the "MASANG PINOY" loves this kind of soaps....
yung tipong mauubusan ka ng luha sa kakornihan kakaiyak dahil si bida ay iniwan ni boyfy nagpakas kay bessie tapos nalaman mong buntis si bida may magbabarilan..malalate dumating ang pulis...

haha. TYPICAL.. But these type of plot lines cater to the billions of the (masang)Filipinos.that the tv stations profit from..thus we can't argue anymore...

i'm not trying to 'seek'
attention. i'm just saying what my
opinion is.
and my opinion is is that
most Filipino dramas are predictable.
thats all.
:)

i think most dramas are predictable, not just filipino dramas..korean dramas, for one, almost have the same storyline..
in a magazine, it was said that 9 / 10 korean dramas typically begin with this storyline: poor girl and rich, snobby guy...that is
9 out of 10...taiwanese dramas, 7 out of 10 dramasbasically begins with 1 ambitious, childish girl (mostly poor) and a rich, again snobby, masochist guy...japanese dramas, if not for violence and bullying 8/10...
for your second opinion about celebrities being fake, please don't be shallow..MOST CELEBRITIES are fake, not just filipinos.
saying that filipino dramas are predictable is weird when you know that almost all dramas in the world, not just asian or filipino per se are made to be predictable. people watch them even though they know what will happen next, mostly, they just watch just to see the actors/actresses or purely just to have a good time..

I heard that Boys next door a youth show in GMA is shown in I trhink Malaysia or some countries. hahaha... It's nice that Fdramas are also featured and shared in some countries.
