Anime to Manga, Manga to Anime?

Why do good mangas get rewritten in animes so that you can't follow the manga after watching the anime?

This is true for Vandread. The manga story is different, I won't explain how or what since it would spoil it.

This isn't true for Gantz though if you leave out episode 23-26. (26 was last anime episode of gantz).

So what I mean is why does a fine manga get ripped apart and thrown together in an anime as well as being given a different ending?

Why can't manga get transferred directly as anime leaving 99% the way it is?
Is this because TV viewers want to view something different than what manga viewers want?

Anyways I'm grateful for anime despite this because it led me to manga! Well GANTZ was the first ever to really get me to continue where the anime left off (again if you leave out episode 22 and up).

The question still remains though! Why does a manga not get the right treatment in transfers to anime?

They don't do that with all manga just some,
besides sometimes the makers make it different purposely for the fun of it I guess.

well, i guess the most obvious reason why some anime adaptations have different endings (sometimes, the anime even alters the plot) from its manga counterpart is because the anime catches up to the manga while it is still in production.
E.g. Rurouni Kenshin. The manga started in 1994, the anime aired in 1996.
The 2nd story arc (the kyoto arc) of the anime concluded during the beginning of the production of the final arc (the jinchuu arc). in order for the author to produce more material, the anime studio decided to produce filler episodes. this decision by the studio angered many fans and so the popularity of RK slid, which led to its eventual cancellation before the final arc could be animated.

it'd be more motivation to watch it? cause you wouldn't be able to predict everything, even if you've read all of the manga.

Well if you read the manga ahead of time rewatching the anime actually gets quite boring at times. It's interesting to see at least some creative input to try to change things up. I'm not saying something too drastic.

However it was said that most mangas are ongoing when the anime is produced. If the anime catches up to the manga then it's either end it without a conclusion (Inuyasha), create extended filler time (Naruto) or create an original ending (FMA). If you want an anime to be perfectly in sync with the manga then you'd have to wait for it to finish. Want to wait 10 yrs for your favorite manga to finish so you can watch the anime? No I'm happy enough with what we have already.

lolz! its a common western mistake. manga is basically the print media form of the anime. the japanese equivalent to western comics. anime is the animation in digital, or film media form, as in tv and dvds. except most popular animes begin their begin their career as manga.

I don't know...maybe because since it's animated they have a specific time to fill? Lol. Maybe it's just whoever animated the manga feel that more scenes could be added, like stuff usually left out in the manga. Like fillers...episodes not really in the manga, but somehow makes the anime more interesting? (not true too all animes XD)

What I don't understand is how anime so popular when every 15 minutes someone is saying how it isn't as good as the manga.

Also, how come the artists and writers can't make an original anime without it coming from a manga, they can't make something unless someone made a comic out of it first?

manga to anime... sometimes i hate anime for changing manga stories because manga series have better stories although you won't get bored in anime because they move
