KAT-TUN Ueda Tatsuya to Hold Solo Concert

Following up on the recent news that Nakamaru Yuichi will be the first KAT-TUN member to do a solo stage show, it has now been announced that Ueda Tatsuya will be the first to hold a solo concert.

The show will take place in September at the specially constructed Johnnys Theater in Aomi, Tokyo; which will hold up 3,300 people.

That venue is also being used for the major Johnny’s Jimusho show “SUMMARY” in August.

Ueda Tatsuya is currently scheduled to perform a total of 13 songs across various genres, such as rock, dance, ballad, and folk.

He wrote and composed the songs himself.

In addition, Ueda Tatsuya will be in charge of directing and producing the 90-minute show.

Ueda Tatsuya said that he will also demonstrate what he has gained from his hobby of boxing.

For roughly the past three years, he has been going to the gym almost daily, developing a well-trained physique.

Okay, so personally I love Ueda Tatsuya! He's my favorite member of KAT-TUN but I was suprised to hear that he would be holding a solo concert in September. As much as I love him, I think that he is one of the less popular members of the group (because JE focuses too much on Kame and Jin, but don't get me wrong, I like them too). However, the reson I love Ueda so much is because he is very talented. In a Japanese magazine interview, Ueda had stated that he directs KAT-TUN's music, coming up with most of the instrumentation and such. Such a talented musician and lyricist should deserve such recognition among such a large company. Regardless if all goes well or not, I am thrilled to hear that Ueda will be able to perform on his own (with his own style and direction). I wish Ueda well and if I lived in Japan, I would surely wait in line for days just to see him in concert!

i'm very happy too hear that....personally i love tatsuya..but i love kazuya more...and anyways i'm happy for both of them cuz kazuya has always wanted tatsuya to have his own concert and also because this way tatsuya will be even more popular...i find it odd that he's not that popular....but regardless...i shall always support kat tun with my undying love...

I think this will definately help him become more popular . I think he's not that popular because he doesn't do much solo-wise. Jin and Kame are in a lot of dramas and get seen more than him. I wish I lived in Japan TT^TT. Ueda, come to the U.S. and do a concert please >w< .

he can play musics, he can show his boxing skill.
but his voice is not the best to me.

I'm excited for him. It's true that his voice isn't the best of KAT-TUN, but that's not really a factor. I think the solo concerts are deserved because he can compose and arrange his solos and write lyrics, unlike other KAT-TUN members. I think it's good for him as a musician. It's cute that he's throwing in boxing in there because its like he wants to show off.

when i first heard about it. i was so shock but yet i look forward to it. but they wont make a dvd for it i guess, would they?

Finally Tat-chan gets his solo concert. I wish I could go watch it. Will definitely buy the dvd or cd. I hope JE comes up with a CD of Uepi's solos. I love his voice, and he is so effffin pretty. I am glad though he is a boy other wise I'm in trouble.....
