Do you get Good Customer Service at your place? or just terribly bad?

Is this activity provided according to the How Customers react or how they are dressed up? or just according to the types of customers?

And this does include Rascism as well!

Why such staffs are employed, who think that the shop is owned by him/her and doesn't even care about Customers when they approach to the shops ? Not even greetings! There is no Respect at all!
Staff chit-chatting about other nonsense things with other staffs in their busy time.
Staffs just laughing and doing nothing when Customers are so fierce at waiting for long hours.

P.S I cannot belive that Customer Service is so much Priority in Britain, and yet, Every shops in London, the quality and level of Customer Service is really so poor and utterly bad.
Not talking about the Pure British white people, but the other British Races!.........

i hear theres a rule at wal mart if you get within a certain amount of feet the greeter has to say hi to you...i guess thats customer service but its just what they're paid to do

I do. But the question is not specific enough for me to answer. I don't like vague questions, and for me, this topic is vague.

^^ Imagine thousands of stores/shops/restaurants at my place. Of course the results are different, it mostly depend on a store's staff and management.

The question is like asking if all the stores/shops/restaurants in the entire United States provide good customer service, and err... How should I know?

Well generaly its ok but a couple of shops annoy me

Cex (that games and other stuff trade in shop) in derby has just one line for both trade ins and purchases which means if someones trading in a lot of things everyones held up (over 30minute queues) why don't they split the lines since they even have 3 counters available?

At a certain shop near the college I go to the staff spend so much time chatting and messing around ignoring the customers, you often can't tell who actualy works there.

Also ever qued for ages in a bank with 6 counters but only 2 of them in use?

I don't care about grettings I just want an injection of common sense sometimes.

When I worked in customer service, my team and I had the saying, "This customer pays my salary" So we treated each customer like they were gold.

It was quite effective and our sales scores were the highest in the region.

The reason it was so effective is because it's a true statement. The money that customer spends is revenue to the store, and out of that revenue, the employee's salary is paid.

We had the lowest shrink rate in the region and that's because our employees cared about it.

If you make an employee feel like they are worth something to the company, they will perform better, especially if you offer incentives, such as pizza parties for reaching sales goals, etc etc.

I've been in places where the customer service was terrible (think burger king here) Where i've wanted to bitch and complain to the manager about the employees, but instead i do the proper thing, and remain quiet during my visit (unless it's something quite drastic) and then make a phone call the next day to the store manager, and explain the situation.

They might not know what their employees are doing when they aren't around.

I don't know, maybe it's just because i worked in customer service for so many years, but people can be really shitty to customer service reps. i mean seriously, it's not the customer service rep's fault the product was defective, or you got a late fee or are being charged too much. Just stay calm and look at the situation objectively.

CSR's are people too. They might just be young and not know they aren't supposed to do that.
