Yeah, Kamina's VA was probably picked on how well he could yell "JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AAAAAAAAAM!?" The "AAAAAAAAAM" being dragged out a bit much.

I thought Yoko's voice was great, as was Leeron's. It's a pity that I couldn't hear Rossiu.

Simon's was appropriately scared-sounding, though it better get manly on episode 11.

Kittan & co could've been better. Then again, I don't know if anyone is likely to worry about the voices during episode 4.

Viral was made to sound more sinister than rival-y, which may screw things up in the second half.

Lord Genome better be voiced by some old guy with a deep, scratchy voice.

Anyways, I think it'll turn out fine. And, for all you Kamina-voice detractors, he's gone soon enough.

the people who do things like this to anime should die. especially if they do it to the all time greatest anime created. anime is Japanese keep it in Japanese

But there are tons of people who are introduced to anime dubbed in English especially since the Americans seem to be a huge target. I probably would have never been able to really become interested if it was never in English. Plus, I've seen dubs that are just as good as the Japanese original, like Fruits Basket, Berserk, FMA, Haibane Renmei etc.

I don't see why dubs are needed to be honest, are there really people so illiterate they cant even bear to read words on a screen for around 20 minutes?

well those people who have been introduced through English probably shouldent watch anime at all. they could just live thier lives without caring about not knowing that anime exists, but no they have to ruin it for the rest of us. Do YOU like anime being licensed? i sure dont. FMA dub was not good either nor was Fruits basket, the english people are too lazy to play such good roles. i still say anime should be in japanese.

I would not have become an anime fan without dubs. Sailor moon and DBZ were my first. I had no idea they came from the land of the rising sun, all I knew was I liked it as a kid.
I started going on the internet and reading subbed though when I got internet.
I should have lived my life without anime, just because my first one was a dub?

Fruits Basket dub was just as good as the Japanese, aside from Ayame's voice, and for FMA therer were some great voice although Ed's voice sounded a bit too old but Al's was great. That 12 year old boy did an amazing job. Anime in English can be just as enjoyable to people who aren't yet introduced to it in Japanese. I was in complete awe when I saw the dub of Haibane Renmei, each voice was executed perfectly. You just need to dig a bit deeper to find some really good ones, even though there are a lot of mediocre or terrible ones.
Sometimes you need a starter point, like I did. I didn't know you could watch it over the internet when I was younger and I couldn't afford to buy my own dvds.
