The weight alone of a mobile suit would make it useless. To add, it is a giant target. Beam weapons exist only in the form of blowtorches, which would again be useless. Energy output is unbelievable. There is absolutely no way it would fly. It would not survive a RPG. Then there is the cost to make something so useless.

To add, gundam series have a lot of propaganda.

All coming from someone who has enjoyed more than a few gundam series.

We've been having some discussions in the Macross group if it's viable to create a variable fighter, and opinion is divided but basically we've agreed that there will be problems with powerplant, aerodynamics and durability issues. Macross Mechas, although more possible, is still infeasible and impractical.

Macross mechas are more impossible than Gundams to be honest. Transformations between the 3 modes is much harder than making a bipedal Gundam (keep in mind I mean the RX-78-2 types, no Funnel system, no wings, no high powered buster rifles). Making tactical mechs like the Ishtar Mk-II and the Raiden from Gasaraki are more closer to reality because it is much more battle efficient and less costly. Better speed, smaller size, lighter weight, more choice in artillery, .etc.

it would be tight if they make a new gundam where the main guy go into the different world and got all the main character from the various gundam and join together too fight one big evil enemy

I'd say G.I.T.S kind of stuff would be more feasible than Gundam. Think of the current rate of computing power exponentially increasing, research into nano-sized materials/devices, and the increasingly electronically interconnected/linked world we live in as some examples.

Gundams are in no possible way feasible in any sense of the word. The sheer complexities shown in even the first Gundam anime cannot be done. Even if it could, it would be too expensive and annoying to build and maintain (*Points at the German Tiger Tank in WWII*). If you want possible mechs that can be made in the future then I suggest that you look at MechWarrior or even Armored Core though the latter is a bit much. Still, they are both much to feasible than something as complex as a Gundam or even a general MS.

Agreed
it is even hard to make a Macross mecha in real life(if possible) transform into GERWALK mode

Mechs, maybe, but the philosophical stuff they talk about pretty much true. Like war being bad and usually one person can start something.

That's why the Metal Gear Solid series is great too.

It is nearly impossible to make a gundam or such a thing because we discussed this topic in Phyiscs and my teacher said that we don't have capacitors that can save up all the energie the gundam would need and it would be inefficient because of the size, the cost, the instability and lots more so the main point is that gundams are fiction and maybe but just maybe in the future when we have better technology it may be possible but as for now it's not......

gundams would make terrible fighting machines. the balancing on two legs part alone would make it totally obsolete compared to a tank, and its aerodynamics would make it obsolete compared to a jet, not to mention the fact that gundams suffer all the mobility problems that humans have, have all the blind spots humans have, and are way too big to be efficient war machines.

gundams will never happen, they're just too inefficient.
