Look up Amuse and Arqray for the headers and exhausts. They're in the 3k range but also net very high HP gains.

The Amuse exhaust for teh BMW M5 netted actual dyno gains of 40hp. at 41.1kg. (stock exh. is about 58kg)

Amuse's full-titanium headers for the AP1 are in the 3k range, and the BMW M5's exhaust i was talking about is $12,000. in titanium as well. If you think that's expensive, the ones for the porsches are in the 16k range.

For the rims, i can name several companies from the usual Volk/RAYS to Work, or why not throw in rare old-skool rims like the RSW's or the SSR Bright Star series? all of which are around or over 4k.

My take is even if you're not a racer, you'd save more gas with higher hp cars than you would with lower hp cars (at a happy medium of around 300hp of course). reason being is that if you have, say, an 88hp car like a del sol or a non-turbo 323/mx3, you're flooring the gas pedal to go up a 5% grade. at a 10% grade you'd be lucky to have the rpms and mph gauges not drop past 5-10mph on the hill at wide open throttle.

If you have something like an evo or etc., you can just lightly tap the accelerator and the rpms low but still not sacrifice speed.

i 2nd this, on both of ma 240', i set how much boost i push adjust my fuel press. etc and just TRY to keep from boosting i get very good mpg. and on the highways ill get to ma speed and cost all the way or at least try to, but yea very good stuff

long time no speak.

thanks for the input.

so, were you able to get your $$$ back from the fake rims deal?
um yes i did ma friend found out way before i told him about them, so he was able to get it back

Ya w.e. Im not talking about na civics or anything but it doesnt really matter. NA is not as slow as you think they are. My homeboy's Rsx Type-S can smash on Srt-4's turbo running high boost. Not just srt-4's. btw But im more of the enthusiastic NA type. I mean sure you can make any car fast with a slap on with turbo or supercharger. but its more thrilling to have a na and beat a turbo or supercharger. I've been around on all 3 and na is my fav.

Check it out, and post feedback.

The homeboy with the red brides is rocking FAKES.

The Zeta II's Bride logo has always stayed the same sharp-lined design. Also, the fabric patterns are totally off.

If you don't believe me send those pix to Tee's USA.

I'm not trying to make fun of your friend, i'm just telling you straight up he should sue or take some action against the guy who sold those seats to him.

Checked and verified. he is not rocking fakes. hes rockin the old gen brides. If you dont know about em too bad.

thats funny because a geo metro being so slow 3 banger can get better mpg even if its low hp. Thats like saying a v12 5.0 liter turbo charged car getting better gas mileage than some hybrid. haha. Throttle has little to do with mpg.

White EG hatch on black Spoon wheels or Slipstreams. The most copied Honda style. I know, cause I also had a white EG on black Slips.

hes just trying to make it clean by not doing too much of this and that. Slipstreams isnt always everything though. Even at the tracks, i dont see much eg hatches as clean as his. It goes for all cars as well anyway. Most cars out there will have a little carbon fiber, such as the hood. How can you make your car look different? Putting on some gay looking body kits if you wanted to but then you'd look like some damn super ricer.

he said bolt ons, intake, headers, and exhaust are your basic bolt-ons. So no he does not have turbo.

i second that as well. Its up to your really. Everyone has different preferences of what they like and think is fast. For me i like the split personality on a type-r. Being a daily driver its always fun to drive plus with a longer life span and reliability than any force inductions

Ya, if i was you id be the same. Hell id be happy to upgrade to a damn rotary. I love rotary powered cars. Prob get a ae86 and do a rotary swap. That'd be nuts

^ lol You live in the wrong state. In Texas the cops let you get away with ANYTHING. I ran my rx7 with no cats, just a strait pipe exhaust for a full year and never got pulled over. And NA rx7's with no exhaust are LOUD.

I've even raced a cop in a Charger at a stop light, no ticket. At the next light he even did a burn out :). Down here as long as you stay away from state troopers the cops are cool as hell.

what thats filthy. Up here in washington state its whack as hell. Cops be trying to get on your ass making blockades and stuff during race night. cops around here will pull you over for nothing and look for a reason to give you a ticket. My homeboy had that happen to him. he got a ticket cuz he had no front license plate. But here in washington its legal. Theres a shit load of others that have no front face plate yet he was the only one that gets pulled over

of course its a 3 banger your going to get great mpg with that thing. and yes throttle has some play into it.

Making a car unique is solely how you build it.

Want to see a clean unique white EG?

How about black?

How about more white EGs?

Heres my favorite EG of all time.

Throttle has everything to do with MPG. In my non-VTEC LS, I made 30 MPG (267 miles / 8.8 gallons) with light throttle and 2500 RPM shifts on my last tank. I actually had 34 MPG going on until I got a little throttle happy a "couple times".
Posted 8/10/08
Anyway. that 1st second and specially 3rd was too much. the last 2 i like. but why are you even showing me lol. But what i meant was is say same car one turboed and one not. Using the same throttle as little as possible its obvious the non-turbo will get more mpg. haha did you read about a civic hybrid with a k swap? Was n.a. and it still made 48mpg. Thats amazing

It was an Insight. Weight and aerodynamics played a big role in the car's gas mileage. A turbo car could potentially achieve higher MPG on light boost (5-8 lbs). I'd attempt it myself but I don't got the cash for a turbo kit.

Yeh everyone have different preference in cars.. I chose NA cars over FI cars b/c I like the all natural power of the engine and rawr sound. Turbo sounds nice too but it gets annoying after 1 year or 2. I only like two doors on two seater roadsters or 2 door/4 door hatch like AUDIS =). I hate coupes!! I love 4 door sedans and wagons..

For a family car I would want an Audi A4 or A4 Avant, those are the bad ass looking cars out there for.. BMW are very nice but everyone have them so not that special.. BMW and lexus are like a high class of civics in my area.. AUDI FTW!!!
