I liked Maou better so far. Just as some pple had mentioned, Mawang dragged on its plot so it became a little dry; the drama also revealed a lot of things to the tv audience so I felt that there was a lack of suspense. I knew the lawyer was the mastermind of the whole revenge plot & how he devised his revenge early in the drama, so it soon became a matter of when his 2-face nature would be uncovered. And then there was also an awkward love rivalry between the detective & the lawyer which did not fit well into the story.

After watching the first 4 episodes I think prefer the pace of the jap ver.

Cast-wise, I prefer Ikuta Toma as the detective. He doesn't appear as 'dead' as Uhm Tae Woong's character. However, I like Joo Ji Hoon better in the lawyer role because he looks friendly when he smiles but cold when he doesn't; this makes him more suitable for the 2-faced character. Ohno looks very melancholic & frowns too often imo.

Overall, I give Mawang credit for the original storyline, but I think Maou has revised the plot well & give it thumbs up for keeping the suspense.

oh yeah, I forgot to write this, but I look forward to Maou's ending. I don't want to spoil the drama but I think that the producers can improve on the finishing.

I haven't seen the Korean version yet, because I have a feeling I will skip to the end and try to see what happens at the end before the Japanese version ends lol. But what I have read from the basic plot, it seems more like the love/relationship between the 3 main characters seem more important than the drama itself. I mean, you can probably tell from the previews for the Japanese one, but they tend to go really strong on Ohno and Ikuta's parts, instead of the girl's part. And I personally got tired of all the "soap opera" stuff from Korea, so I have a feeling instead of focusing on the lawyer's hate towards Ikuta, they'll be focusing more on the relationship between them and the girl. Wow, i said the same thing about 3 times in a row. But get what I'm saying? So far I REALLY like the Japanese one, it's probably the best Japanese drama I've seen. (ha, i dont watch many Japanese dramas though)

And some may think the Japanese version is a bit rushed because they tell us everything about the lawyer's childhood, but hey, they only have 6 episodes total, and that's not enough to keep us guessing for long.

Maybe i'm just saying this because I love TANAKA KEI!! lol. i know he's not the big part in the drama, but HE IS TOO CUTE!!

i happened to watched Mawang first because of Joo Ji Hoon and Shin Min Ah.....but then i think the stories kinda interesting...
i love JJH expression especially his eyes...it shows his heartless n cold side but still charming 4 me...
as for Maou...as beginning i thought it might be kinda boring...but then stories goes in fast pace...gives me bit of 'excitement' to continue watch it....ohno expression in Maou bit similar with JJh but i think he's eyes still show his kind side eventhough he always look mad and full of anger....but i cant from fallin' in love to those guys....huhuhu

still, i think both actor did done their best 4 the series plus they are great actor.......gambatte for Maou....may it success as Mawang...and toma-kun still hot and cute in there....

I. AM. NOT. BIASED.

Maou is better than Mawang, for me, because the Korean version is veeery dragging. And because I love Ohno Satoshi than Joo Ji Hoon. ...hahahahahaHAHAHAHAHA...

Once again: I. AM. NOT. BIASED.

I have seen the korean version and I must say by far it is the best version...I love japanese dramas and I love how they try to make things fast pace but the first episode of maou was a little bit disappointment..they blatantly presented everything and compressed some of the scene highlights from the korean version. I am still watching it though, hoping that the next coming episodes they will put twists on it. This kind of drama needs a little bit of slow pacing but the japanese version rushed it...so we'll see...
Oh and i'm basing my opinion STORYWISE not on who are the ACTORS and ACTRESSES portraying in the drama because that would be a different discussion and forum hahahahahahaha

hahahaah.. yup.. i am actually asking storywise... the story is gripping that's why i am having thoughts if i should watch the korean version along with the japanese one.

if the actors and actresses were the discussion i will prefer Ohno over Ji Hoon and Definitely Toma with the other guy.. although i dont know about the psychic girl if Min Ah or the jap girl..

as for actors, I prefer jjh in my opinion he improved a lot in Mawang from his Goong performance (I loved his looks in Goong not much on his acting skills but in Mawang I totally fell inlove with his acting skills...I don't think Ohno can surpassed jjh as the Devil) I still admire Ohno's acting skills not bad for his first time but no one could have portrayed the bette, gorgeous and cold devil than jjh...you have to see Mawang first, then you'll know what I mean..as for Toma, he is doing an excellent job I have no criticisms of him..in fact I think he is going to steal the show from Ohno hahahahaha..as for the girl, I like both the korean and the japanese actresses (although the japanese actress is cuter than the korean one)....as for the drama...like i said, menn....the japanese version better wow me....coz so far i wasn't impressed with how they just mix everything and looked chaotic to me...heheheheheh

i Totally Agree With Your Opinion !!!!!! Mawang is BETTER & JJH IS MORE EVIL THAN OHNO & His Cold look Is WOW, JJH ACTING is Better than Ohno but Toma Did Great In Uhm Tae Wa ! Hope this Jp version will be good cause the korean Wowed me alot & the ENding scene *hearts It*

I guess it will be great if they make a movie JJH as the lawyer & Toma as detective
but who know's maybe the jp version will have something intresting because they rushed the story that gives me some curious feeling & Excitement so I won't judge yet untill its finished then I'll judge
