THANKS FOR AGREEING lol....we are only few...

I guess it will be great if they make a movie JJH as the lawyer & Toma as detective
but who know's maybe the jp version will have something intresting because they rushed the story that gives me some curious feeling & Excitement so I won't judge yet untill its finished then I'll judge ;)

oh that would be nice...like how they did it for VIRGIN SNOW, a collaboration

This is slightly off-topic, but I prefer the vocal tracks (such as the opening song) in Maou, while I prefer the instrumental BGMs in Mawang. They are pretty epic, especially the Mawang theme song.

well, I haven't watched Maou yet... but Mawang is really superb!!! the plot was unique and I really liked the girl's ability to see the past when she held something or someone...
there's also a lot of twists, and gad I love those tarot cards... haha...

Maou looks good too... with Riida and Toma, I'll definitely watch!!! haha...

i like MAWANG better than maou.....
i can't stop watching MAWANG because it keeps you guessing and want some more....
in the first eps of maou, you already know everything....about the past, the anger, and the plan....
the mystery is too plain.....

i kinda like maou better. i dunno if i'm biased or anything coz i adore OHNO and TOMA so much, but i kinda like how jdramas make their stories short. the korean version was for me a bit slow and boring.

I have seen the korean version and I must say by far it is the best version...I love japanese dramas and I love how they try to make things fast pace but the first episode of maou was a little bit disappointment..they blatantly presented everything and compressed some of the scene highlights from the korean version. I am still watching it though, hoping that the next coming episodes they will put twists on it. This kind of drama needs a little bit of slow pacing but the japanese version rushed it...so we'll see...
Oh and i'm basing my opinion STORYWISE not on who are the ACTORS and ACTRESSES portraying in the drama because that would be a different discussion and forum hahahahahahaha

hahahaah.. yup.. i am actually asking storywise... the story is gripping that's why i am having thoughts if i should watch the korean version along with the japanese one.

if the actors and actresses were the discussion i will prefer Ohno over Ji Hoon and Definitely Toma with the other guy.. although i dont know about the psychic girl if Min Ah or the jap girl..

as for actors, I prefer jjh in my opinion he improved a lot in Mawang from his Goong performance (I loved his looks in Goong not much on his acting skills but in Mawang I totally fell inlove with his acting skills...I don't think Ohno can surpassed jjh as the Devil) I still admire Ohno's acting skills not bad for his first time but no one could have portrayed the bette, gorgeous and cold devil than jjh...you have to see Mawang first, then you'll know what I mean..as for Toma, he is doing an excellent job I have no criticisms of him..in fact I think he is going to steal the show from Ohno hahahahaha..as for the girl, I like both the korean and the japanese actresses (although the japanese actress is cuter than the korean one)....as for the drama...like i said, menn....the japanese version better wow me....coz so far i wasn't impressed with how they just mix everything and looked chaotic to me...heheheheheh

Definitley agreed on my side,I really hate when people like one drama better just cause your favorite actor or actress is in it,for me Ikuta is way better in comedy and romantic dramas, and Ohno,I just...his character has never appealed to me,and Yes JJH,is amazing in Mawang, and I know what people are thinking isn't that contradicting myself? No,I never knew about The Devil,or any of it's actors well the cop yeah, but that's it,then after the devil,I watched Goong(was really good by the way),and well yeah, going on by what is happening in Mou,it really doesn't appeal to me as well, and I don't think the K.version dragged on,if anything I would understand why someone wouldn't like it is because of the ending, cause WOW! how much I hated the ending I don't wanna spoil it so yeah, but I agree with you. Also,I think some of you guys are saying the Jap.version because you've seen it first,I mean maybe if you had watched the K.version you guys would go along with it,but ya Mawang goes for me.

The first episode of maou definitely rushes things (I thought it was going to be really predictable after that) but that's the way jdramas go usually, but by the third or fourth episode I think it definitely improves and the story flows along much better. I won't comment on acting because I am slightly biased as I am a fan Ohno and Toma.

And is it just me, or does Toma have way less screen time than Ohno? It seems like there's less character development with Toma's character.

yah, that's also with Mawang... Eom Tae-woong (Toma counterpart) has less screen time than Ji-hoon (Riida counterpart)... they really showed the hatred thing that Ji-hoon had towards Tae-woong...
and well, I'm a big fan of those kinds of endings... haha!!!! I even write songs with that kind of ending... am I weird??? haha!!! but only sometimes... everyone likes a happy ending.....
really? Maou kinda rushed it??? haha... I should just watch it already...!!!! but with what everyone else said, I agree that the story slowly unfolds in Mawang... like, Ji-hoon's past was only revealed in the latter eps... ^^

(and yea, you should be open with dramas... and not judge it coz of your fave actors... haha... I'm a perfect example of not following your own advice... I remember Zhang Ziyi's line to Gong Li in Memoirs of a Geisha, w/c I just watch a couple of days ago, again.... "What better advice to follow than your own?")

Maou is better than Mawang, for me, because the Korean version is veeery dragging. And because I love Ohno Satoshi than Joo Ji Hoon. ...hahahahahaHAHAHAHAHA...

Once again: I. AM. NOT. BIASED.

lol nice, its VERY transparent that you are TOTALLY UN-BIASED.

I ust found out abt the Korean show today!

The korean show looks more promising. Hopefully it doesnt get draggy. Will give my verdict when I finish both!

At first when I started on Maou, it seemed like a good average drama that will build up later. BUT I found the plot more than I expected, and the way its directed a little below average. Basically a drama with potential but not made to its fullest. It can't beat dramas like Nodame Cantabile and Iljimae etc.
