i tried to watch Mawang as lots of ppl say it's better den Maou...i can only watch the 1st 20min of the 1st ep and i got bored
i'll tried to wacth it again next time....

abt Maou...i think Ohno's character is harder to play compare to Toma's character.
and he's doing a real great job in portraying the evilness.
i dunno how well did JJH played the character...but i believe Ohno is also doing great!!

In my opinion, Mawang is amazing.. a lot better that Maou. But I'm still watching the japanese version because I'm really impressed with Toma's acting skills.

i LOVED Mawang. I thought that Maou was a little too fast paced for me. It didn't give the illusion of any mystery to me. I like how in Mawang it built up to the revenge rather than have it laid out all in the 1st ep. I thought that the subtle expressions of JJH was much more believable than the "cold/evil" expressions of Ohno. However I love Toma in this. He really is doing an awesome job, a lot better than I expected. Although I liked Mawang better, I still have to say I'm enjoying this one too!

I just finished watching the Korean version and it is so good. The first episode is slow, but once you get past it the drama picks up the pace. I also like the Maou version too because it gives a different take on the story, but if I had to choose it will probably be the Korean version because more events are explained and not rushed. The backgrounds of the characters are explained more in the Korean version too and the relationship between all the characters make more sense to the storyline and flow more.

as for actors, I prefer jjh in my opinion he improved a lot in Mawang from his Goong performance (I loved his looks in Goong not much on his acting skills but in Mawang I totally fell inlove with his acting skills...I don't think Ohno can surpassed jjh as the Devil) I still admire Ohno's acting skills not bad for his first time but no one could have portrayed the bette, gorgeous and cold devil than jjh...you have to see Mawang first, then you'll know what I mean..as for Toma, he is doing an excellent job I have no criticisms of him..in fact I think he is going to steal the show from Ohno hahahahaha..as for the girl, I like both the korean and the japanese actresses (although the japanese actress is cuter than the korean one)....as for the drama...like i said, menn....the japanese version better wow me....coz so far i wasn't impressed with how they just mix everything and looked chaotic to me...heheheheheh

oohhh.. now you're making me crumble... seriously.. i want to buy a copy of Mawang later.. heheheh
really JJH is much better than Ohno?

as for Toma, i'm really glad that you said that he is going to steal the show from Ohno.. hehehhe... i am a Toma fan, but whenever i watch Maou, i feel that i am looking out more for Ohno than him..

LOL you can watch The Devil on other websites instead of buying it without knowing if you'll like it. I'm watching it on Aznv.tv now and it is soooo good

I felt most of the time JJH's acting in Ma Wang was really deadpan, the only time he showed emotion was when he cried. Other times, he look kind of tired looking or bored.

The whole point of the drama was to show the contrast between the cop and the lawyer. The cop was the emotional one, while the lawyer was emotionless. Joo Ji Hoon portrayed him very well because he wasn't supposed to have any emotion, since he sold his soul to the "devil".

oh, how i like your view. people kept saying jjh was stiff or dead, but for me stiffness was necessary there, showing how he put a barrier between him and the world. i used to hate jjh but i love him after watching him in mawang. for me, he just fit for the devil, as the role was written just for him.

and, how i like your username...

I watch the korean version and its pretty good. So far though I think that the jap version is better though, its less dragging. To me Ohno is also a better character then the korean one. He has a more evil face, hahaha. And the physic girl is also played better in the Jap version. I like the way she dress match her role very well.

yeah..i watched the korean version although I haven't finished it yet---i borrowed a dvd of it from my classmates..and so far, after watching the first 3 episodes..it's really boring..I just want to watch it because I want to know if it's as good as the japanese version, but it's really boring, gloomy and I don't like the way it was the directed..ie..they focus more on unnecessary scenes (if they'd cut those, i think it's good). I really want to be open-minded..and I don't want to judge biasly, but, I really find the JAPANESE version so interesting, thrilling despite being fast-paced.
Even though the korean version keeps you guessing,..because of the prolonged unnecessary scenes..you'll easily get lost with the story..and the actors in Japan are way better and really portrayed MAOU better....

I'm sorry, I just got tired watching the prolonged, stereotype dramas of KOREA...after watching HYD...I totally disliked watching Kdramas..because i really find JAPANESE drama SUPERIOR!!

And to be objective---I am not watching Jdramas or Kdramas because I am a fan of actors and actresses...I'm watching to criticize dramas objectively...cause if you'd just like a drama because of your fave actors/es, one day, when you're older (probably) you'll find it stupid...that you once like that drama because of an actor..

And...I am once a fan of KOREan dramas, but then..I find (generally) their dramas nonsense
Well, Japanese dramas, for me are very sensible..because they focus much on LESSONS and INSPIRATIONS rather than love stories...which, I know, when I get older...i'd still like them because JDRAMAS are ENCOURAGING!! (but, hey, not all--)
