Good thing, if it turns out well, more people would want to watch the original

Bad thing, if it turns out bad, Americans are gonna hate the "asian" people saying they make crappy movies,or
they'll say why is there sucha movie like this.

Yup! But for myself, I think originals are the best! = D

The bad really do make no damn sense.

My point of the bad is that Americans will think Asian movies are crappy!
Just cause the remake one is crappy, they're gonna think the same
about the original one.

I hate remakes! And there is something you can do about it, don't go watch then, or rent them.
Even when American film makers remake an old movie it's never as good as the 1st.

^ I respect you're opinion..
But, don't they respect the people who made it?

Even in my country, they are like copying the Korean dramas and make a version in our own language, I do support it, although I don't pay much of respect to the one who made the remake, I just enjoy watchin it.

My main question is actually, what's the worst english remake film? LOL. sorry that my question wasn't clear..

bahah.
you live in the philippines.
yeah kim san soon is kinda corny.
and i dont like my girl at all.
it makes no sense.

so, if taiwan remakes a japanese original, is it alright?
if japan remakes a korean original, is it acceptable?
if korea remakes a taiwanese original, is it just fine?

i don't see why people brag about remakes by other countries other than most people here are used to watch(japanese/taiwanese/korean remakes). lol

stop being a weaboo, wapanese, japanophile, koreanophile, taiwanophile or whatever you call them.
open up your minds. there is more from outside the world you are currently in. :P

remakes happen. bad or good.

I totally agree remakes aren't always the best in fact they are going to just sex it up, because no you can't watch an American movie that is truly romantic anymore without being overly raunchy.

I actually enjoy seeing what the American actors and directors bring to the story...so I don't really mind, plus if I really don't feel like watching the same story again, I just don't and I stick to the original

In my opinion, The Lake House was a bad remake of the original Korean version, Il Mare. I liked how they wrote "based on the Korean film, Il Mare" right on the opening scene, but I felt like the American version had cut out a lot of the parts that made Il Mare so good.

But overall, I think a lot of American horror remakes are actually okay. I think they're fun to watch-- the Asian original ones tend to be more of a psychological horror, while American ones are more visual. I enjoy watching both, so I don't really mind. And I mean, it's not like they're plagiarizing it-- they bought the rights to remake it so they're allowed to do it however they want.
