It's somewhat off-topic, but I recently made a very rudimentary translation of some new info that's up on the Strike Witches official site. Since I don't have enough CR points to make a forum topic yet, I'll post this here. This is from the Base Expedition area at the Briefing Room, where Minna is teaching Yoshika and Lynne about the various countries that are involved in Strike Witches.

Minna: Well, everyone, here we can explain each country that participates in "Strike Witches" simply and securely, don't you think?

Yoshika & Lynette: Yes!

Minna: Firstly, the island country in north-western Europe that holds our base, Britannia.

Lynette: It's the country where I was born and raised.

Yoshika: If it's where Lynne grew up it must be a cool place!

Minna: The Strait of Dover separates Britannia from the mainland, but at its narrowest it is barely 34 kilometers wide. Our base is also located on an island that protrudes into the Strait of Dover. Its latitude makes for cool summers and warm winters; an easy climate to live in. But in the summer many places become a bit hot, making them ideal for drying laundry.

Lynette: Before the war got so fierce, I came to Brighton with my family to swim.

Yoshika: Wow, great! Lt. Colonel Minna, do you think we could go to the sea with everyone soon?

Minna: Oh my, don't you think you get enough of the sea with water training and waterborne crash landings?

Yoshika: Ahh, t-that's not what I... Sorry, it's alright...

Lynette: Hehehe.

Minna: As it is an island nation, Britannia has specialized in oceanic trade from early on and became a great seafaring country. If you look at the map, however, Britannia becomes an obstacle for those trying to go from the continent into the Atlantic Ocean. Because it has relied on the ocean to repel past invasions, Britannia has continued to build up more and more naval power.

Yoshika: It seems pretty similar to the Fuso Empire, don't you think?

Lynette: Yoshika's post is with the navy, as well, isn't it?

Minna: The result of putting so much effort into oceanic trade was a near monopolization of trade from India, and the Britannia Federation was formed. However, it clashed with the Fuso Empire around India, both being island nations with few resources that valued having influence in Asia. After realizing their similar situations, both countries now enjoy a close alliance.

Lynette: It seems like we're practically identical, Yoshika.

Yoshika: Yeah, this is a good sign for us being good friends from now on.

Minna: The purpose of the Neuroi's attacks on Britannia is unclear, seeing as it is an island nation. As for its naval power, Britannia is in possession of the most battleships of any nation. Furthermore, Britannia is known for its diplomacy, forming long-lasting bonds with allied nations, unless communication is halted or their trust is betrayed. Now we are the ones who depend on that friendship the most.

Yoshika: Countries must be really busy if they can lose touch with each other. The situation in Europe is getting weird!

Lynette: (What's that supposed to mean..?)

Minna: I myself would like an apology for some unpalatable past meals. Breakfast and tea are tasty, though.

Lynette: S-sorry...

Yoshika: B-but, aren't the meals Lynne makes really good?

Than dont watch...no one is forcing you to watch something thats too much for anyone like you. If someone or something thats forcing you, it would be only one person..yourself..your own perverted side that sleeps within you like everyone else. It tempts you to watch it.
